Thank you for sharing! Right now I'm using stubbies and working on getting my weight down for a pair of these within the next year or so. Seeing the knees bend walking downhill and down the stairs is mindblowing. Great video!
Mr. Alexander, I will be getting one in two weeks. This is my 2nd one. My first one was 5 years ago. I'm not sure which generation it was, first or second. However, the upgrades that were made are both exhilarating and I'm a bit nervous about it. Thank you so much for the video you covered everything!
I’m 19 I have a knee disarticulation and I need my freedom back. I just got my prosthetic the other day and It’s mechanical. I wasn’t given a choice on the knee but I asked for the best and to keep it short I’m terribly unsatisfied with the hole leg and knee and the company thinks their right and it’s normal when i express my issues with it. Would I be able to start on this leg I’m a athlete and can learn how to do anything especially if it’s for my freedom back.
The foundation of a prosthesis is the design and fit of the socket. Once that is achieved the components will impact the function and mobility. The C-Leg 4 is typically excellent technology for younger individuals with long residual limbs. If you would like to contact us for additional information you can visit our website at www.dreamteamprosthetics.com
The C-Leg 4 has about a 46 hour battery life. When the battery is completely drained, the knee defaults to a high stance resistance to provide good support so the knee does not collapse. For more information you can visit our website www.dreamteamprosthetics.com
The C-Leg 4 is "weather proof" but it is not protected from exposure to corrosive liquids such as salt water, soapy water, chlorine or other chemicals. You can visit the Ottobock website for specific details on the use of the C-Leg 4 in a water environment.
The cost varies with the type of components and socket suspension system used. You can contact us via email through our website at www.dreamteamprosthetics.com
Hello can you say about the angle you have your knee locked for driving. Also does it matter what type of car you are driving like a sedan or a SUV or truck. I can't seem to get anyone to answer me about this. Thank you
The programming of the knee for driving requires experience from your prosthetist to make sure it is setup safely. The angle depends on the type of car, length of limb, and other variables so it must be custom programmed for each person.
The cost depends on a number of things as each prosthesis is custom designed for the individual. If you have additional questions you can contact us at our website at www.dreamteamprosthetics.com
The C-Leg 4 borrows some of the technology developed for the Genium knee, such as the gyroscope to maintain safe resistance if you happen to take an awkward step. It also processes input data at 100 times per second, the previous C-Leg processed at 50 times per second. You can visit the Ottobock website to look at all of the features of the C-Leg 4. Without a doubt the best demo I have seen. Thanks so much

The stubbies are a great way to begin to improve strength, balance and control.
Thank you for making this video. You've given me much optimism and hope. God bless you.

Hi Seth, can you wear these prosthetic legs while taking a shower? In other words, are they water resistant?

I have the C-Leg 3 and it appears it can do all the things you demonstrated. What's the difference between the 3 and 4?
