Ever since I realized I was clairvoyant I see so many house spirits, it confuses the hell out of me because I don’t know what some of them are. I believe the ones that like to follow we around are the house spirit fairies you mentioned or at least like them (sorry I don’t know how to spell their name I’m American) my local witch community are scared of all things fairies and fae so I thought they might be bad but they seem to protect me and my home, whatever they are they love nasty things and animals and I like having them around. I’m glad to now have some sort of understanding of them now so thank you.

In Slavic folklore (I’m 1/2 South Slav & 1/2 British Isles) our house spirit is the Domovoi. I leave an old shoe (they live in that), honey, bread and salt at my hearth for them. Domovoi Feast Day is coming up: January 28th.

Wicca is a fairly new religion which claims to take inspiration from older beliefs! 😊 I’m not Wiccan, so I recommend reading the works of Thorn Mooney, Doreen Valiente, and Janet and Stewart Farrar to learn more on Wicca! Plus Ronald Hutton for a more academic voice. As for Gaelic - Wales and the Welsh language are not Gaelic. Welsh is a Celtic language, but it is not Gaelic. The Celtic languages fall into two families…Gaelic and Brittonic. Welsh is Brittonic/Brythonic. All Celtic languages are related…but I cannot understand Gaelic languages just because I speak Welsh. I hope that helps in some way! 💖

@Maryann Taylor You might be right it could have been anything. I just thought it was a fairy due to a synchronicity of seeing the previews to the Disney movie epic the very next day. Whichever it might be it really did a number on what I pay attention to. I used to be up with today's topics now I spend my time paying attention to the wild life and I'm much more relaxed now.

Yeah, changelings, saddest thing ever. Mostly misunderstood medical conditions not limited to mental or cognitive abilities. Although later most mental conditions were viewed as some form of demonic possession via Christianity. Changelings were stoke sufferers and people with cerebral palsy, survivors of meningitis and a whole lot of other conditions beyond the language and understanding of the times. Essentially, your loved ones would be replaced overnight, not just children, everyone was at risk. The dribbling, drooling fae creature left behind was NOT your loved one and unfortunately, treated as such. Milder mental conditions like adhd led to the popular phrase "away with the fairies" meaning you needed to work harder with them to keep their concentration. Changelings are UNIVERSAL and unbelievably sad.
