XG is a 7 member Japanese global girl group aged currently 18-22 formed by XGALX. They do Hip Hop/R&B and Pop.
XG is completely fluent in Korean and Japanese but they choose to sing/rap in English because they are a Global Girl Group.
Fandom is called ALPHAZ because the leader of a pack of wolves is called the Alpha.
XG influences are TLC, Destiny's Child, Spice Girls, Lauryn Hill, MJ, Beyonce, Rihanna, Madonna, Ciara, Aaliyah, Keyshia Cole.

XG is not K-pop they’re not even J-pop they consider themselves X-pop music 🎶 which makes them actually unique because they appeal internationally to everyone…. consisting of four rappers and the other three are the vocal line, but all seven gals can sing extremely well…. They’re all young Japanese 🇯🇵women based out in South Korea. Their debut song is called. Tippy Toes followed by mascara, which is also another good hit. They are also talented dancers. They have dance practice videos to all of their MV’s and if you really want to get to know them and their journey, they have a documentary called extra extra

No they aren't a band and they are not Kpop.
Kpop is pop sung in korean but they don't sing in korean so they are not a Kpop group.
They sing in english and they are more into Hip Hop / RnB and pop than bubblegum pop like Kpop.
XG is not kpop
Its kpop adjacent, its not jpop, its not pop, they are xpop or global Girl Group, but they still promote in korea, have a base in korea and started in Korea, its all semantics, but either way its how people discover them.
