XG understandably gets lumped in with kpop because they live, train and promote in Korea... but the members are all Japanese and perform in English, so technically they are not kpop and are branded a global group or xpop. It was a brilliant move on their part to promote on Korean music shows though, because it gave them exposure to international fans, as well as Korean. They have all the potential and talent in the world to become HUGE on the gloval stage... so best to get on board now! 😊
