Yes sir. I have a 2004 Polaris sportsman 500 and replaced the head gasket. Got everything put back together and filled with coolant. I took it easy when I got it up and running. Rode it around for about 20 min and hammered down and noticed coolant was spitting out of the coolant reservoir tube. I only filled reservoir up to the minimum line. Trying to figure out what may cause this to happen. Thanks
I have a 1997 Polaris Sportsman 500 and when I plow and am on a small incline it does not want to go into reverse. Can you help me? Keep the videos up. They really help! Thank You.
It could be a couple things. Is your belt too tight? If it is it will not shift like it should. Is the idle too high or does the idle go higher when you turn handlebars? Could be a worn throttle cable or the idle is to high. It will spin the belt not allowing it to shift good. Also try my method with adjusting the shift linkage. Shift forks in the transmission wear out and linkage needs adjustment sometimes.
I looked at my belt to day and I was shredded. The idle does not change when I turn the handlebars. I will see if the linkage needs adjustment tomorrow. Do you know where I could get a repair manual for my 1997 Polaris Sportsman 500? @@TitaniummanGarage
My quad is moving when i shift it into Drive & Reverse, I assume it should be still idling still when i put into gear and only move if i hit throttle? If so how to adjust this? Ive already looked at the gearbox linkage and the carb. Thanks
