I decided to recreate the house my grandfather built in Dhaka. It’s a bit romanticized, with a lot more vegetation added to the building because I wanted to do so. But other than that, this kind of became a challenge to use trimsheets, and other than that it came down to quite a lot of Substance Designer challenges. I also got to learn a bit more Geometry Nodes, using that for both laying down rocks along the curb, but also telephone wires and AC cables.
I’ve also put quite a lot of time hammering down vines, and I think I’ve finally reached a sweetspot of how I’ll do them in the future as well. I’m doing some breakdowns of the project in due time, but for now I’m getting a little rest.
