This is absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much. As of now, a slightly modified version of your Freak by Silverchair patch has become my main tone. I noticed that, in addition to the tone match block, there is an aggressive EQ curve there that basically scoops the mids, I think. Did you calibrate it by ear, after the tone match? I'm just trying to understand your process to craft these patches.

Every preset is slightly different but as a general rule I try to get the sound as close as I can with the right amp and cab (pro tip: the best amp/cab isn’t always the gear that you think/know they used). Then I use the capture in the tone match block and see how close I am compared to having the tone match active. If I’m happy I just delete the tone match block. If not, I work on the tone match capture, then use a PEQ block to do any EQ work I can’t do with the amp block. This is usually low/high pass filters or removing frequencies which aren’t within the EQ section of the amp block (pro tip #2 learn frequency sweeping). A good rule for recorded guitars is that there’s always less low and high end than you think - there’s usually very little information below 100Hz and above 6.5kHz. There are also very common problem frequencies like 150Hz, 180-190Hz, 220-250Hz, 330Hz etc - it depends on the amp and cab obviously. Also, this only really applies to higher gain sounds but can affect clean too. I’ve done zoom calls which explain this in more detail so let me know if that is of interest. Thanks 😊
