    good video. Dark oil color means nothing, it just shows that additives like detergents are making their job ;) 0.2 cents comments : a zip tie used a oil jauge works very well, especially when oil glass is dirty or ambiant light doesn't' give good lecture + check contaminants from clutch and/or some water ( after deep river crossings or water pump seal failed ) SO I make oil level dip inside the zip tie, cut a little side mark on the level and the tap hose level too to always position it at same depth. After years of hating the hoses clamps, i'm back to them because they give the perfect torque on hose and better applied pressure all around hose than the screwed ones which can too damage parts around, because of the protuberant screw .
    As usual, nice videos !

    I hope KOVE comes to AUSTRALIA. Really like the AJP but at $20 000 not worth it. Price KOVE right and I think the brand will be a hit as long as reliability and quality control is there.

    That oil is filthy! How did the fuel line go without the one way valve? I think without the valve and the tap open you are still going to have fuel level out between the front and rear tanks. Wish Kove would HTFU and get this and the 800 rally to Australia!

    Heelo from Spain.I see you put 2,1 l of oil!!! With OEM cover and new filter I remember is 1.8L? So I must understand that the new cover has more capacity? You know that to much oil high the presure and that´s not goog for the engine.

    • @TheRide_Adv
      @TheRide_Adv  2 місяці тому +1

      @@facatube wrong, more oil isnt going to create more pressure, oil pressure is dictated by the oil pump, it will actualy run cooler oil since it has more capacity flowing true the oil cooler and cooling it down. And there are alot of people even with the stock cover that are puting the same amount +\-, all depends on how well you drain the oil, and if you soak the paper filter before for ex…

    • @K4Reventyr
      @K4Reventyr 2 місяці тому

      @@TheRide_Adv Wrong! Too much oil will damage the engine. The crank shaft will foam up the oil and thus, the oilpump won't work proporly as it can't keep up presure with oilfoam. The manual says 1,6 liters by oilchange and 1,8 liters by rebuild. I know it is a little on the low side. 1,8 liters is the right amount for me when i change the oil and filter. Nice work on your videos though.

    • @TheRide_Adv
      @TheRide_Adv  2 місяці тому

      @@K4Reventyr teoricaly your right, but remember by installing the larger crankcase the volume incresed therefore if you added the same amount as if it had the smaller volume (stock one) the oil level would sit low on the crank… so in reality the oil level is at where it should be but increased the capacity..
