- DJI Mini 4 Pro with the latest update recently there may be some confusion with one of the new modes Active Track Auto.

Yes, auto active track is entirely new and different from active track 360. Nice tutorial, thanks for sharing. Happy New Year.

Dji needs to enable automatic continuous home-point update to controller. Useful when you’re on the move and don’t want the drone to return where you began. They should at least allow the c1/c2 button to be customised for quick home point to controller updating. The usual way of clicking the 3 dots and going through the menu is slow and cumbersome when on the move.
Thank you for your comment and very true, I'm sure DJI could do this as with Litchi (app) you can have it set as continuous update while on the move. Many thanks for watching.
Hi Shaun - nice explainer vid without all of the waffle (like a certain other incredibly good looking and youthful UA-camr we could mention! 🤣🤣). We are both still slightly confused between Activeshots and Activetrack (I noticed the edit still having to correct yourself at 00:30 - don't blame you!🙂)
I reviewed some of my older footage and prior to the update : where we select 'Activeshots' then select manual or auto it indeed USED to say 'Activetrack'... And then when you go into the settings for it i.e. where you set the inner and outer ring distance and height, that section is now called 'Smartshots'! (was a bu**er to find when I was doing it because I was looking to 'Activetrack'!)
Suspect this was a slightly rushed update to get us advertising their product for them + it's Golden Week coming up as well hence the inconsistency in terminology!

Thank you, yes while making the video, I wasn't too sure what to call it as even DJI were calling in Active Track 360 Auto!!!! But hey, who cares, nice feature from DJI yet again. Yes Bonnie dog will be my ever faithful spotter while trying out the goggles. Hopefully today I will get it all working, that's the plan! Happy 2024.
