Apparently the red flaps hanging under a chicken/rooster's neck are called "wattles" and they're used for heat regulation.

To be honest I was kinda upset when they added the other kwami’s (the 5 to make 7) because I kinda felt like Ladybug and Chat Noir were like the special ones and now the others just came along. I got used to it but now since they’ve added new kwami’s I feel the same as I did before. Soon, the whole city will be superheroes

I doubt they’ll use the rest as heros however I’d love to see them used to help with lore as you know super wise yet curious beans of cuteness would keep me happy teaching lore.
I don't mind them adding extra kwami's or even heroes, but the whole point of Hawkmoth wanting their miraculous over others is because they're supposedly more powerful than anything else. Which leaves me to wonder, why are they not more powerful than the other heroes? Sure, Ladybug might be since she's usually the one to save the day, but with how often Cat Noir gets mind controlled or shoved to the side in some way it really seems like he's no better than any other miraculous holder. I wish they'd give us something to show a clear advantage over the rest asides from experience.
Or even just anything at all to make Cat Noir slightly less pathetic in comparison to Ladybug. They're supposed to be equals after all. I know Ladybug is the best but they could give him a little credit.
@@sundeers6633 I think they do give Chat Noir credit though. He saves Ladybug all the time and sacrifices himself. If Ladybug did that, there would be nobody to purify the akuma. (But it can be annoying, my poor boy sacrificing himself all the time)
I personally like the fact that they showed us new kwamis, I just don't want them all to be used. Why? Because if everybody gets a kwami, even if it's just once, it wouldn't be any special receiving a kwami and becoming a superhero, right? However, I'm very interested in the kwamis. What do they represent, how were they "born", what are their powers etc? I'm very curious to be honest.
But I guess we'll have to wait and see.😊
@@birdsocks9083 it was confirmed that at least this season only luka will get snake miraculous. Also that they can fuse them. Marinette will fuse ladybug/dragon and rat/fox miraculouses while Adrien will fuse cat's and snake's. Plus they will also use them so is not like they will give them to other people because they are still our main heroes.
The moment I saw the designs for the kwamis. I didn't like what I saw, like you said they were just the animals and looked very boring. My brother agrees as well. And to be honest I was happy to see someone felt the same way.
Ah same. I think some are fine, but they could've added something extra. For example, I like the original pig, but I love the extra long curly tail Rea gave to it. It just adds that little magical thing to it, don't you think?😊

It's this amazing show, no lie I thought it was like a Spongebob or like Adventure Time thing like a year ago when I first saw it, but like I started it and finished everything on Netflix in 2 days (Excluding sleep and work)

I hate the new Kwamis, because you know Thomas is now gonna Assign each of the new ones to all the classmates and I am NOT okay with that. That’d be WAY too many heroes. I’m good with the main 5 because they’re a squad. All the other heroes sound and look kinda stupid. I mean there’s a frucking PIG. A PIG. Imagine THAT as a hero
Anyways, that’s my rant, and I REALLY hope these Kwamis will not be used

Yes! There are waaay too many kwamis and Miraculouses. I would keep the main kwamis/superheroes; Ladybug, Cat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace, Queen Bee, Mayura, and Hawkmoth. THEN MAYBE IN A SPECIAL EPISODE, IT COULD BE A SURPRISE THAT OTHER KWAMIS EXIST. LIKE THEY FIND A MAGICAL FOREST WITH A TRIBE OF KWAMIS. BUT NO. THEY DID NOT. Thank you for listening to my TedTalk.

But what's wrong with a pig? Also they're based of the Chinese zodiacs, so it would be weird to leave one out. (Not trying to offend anyone by the way)
@@veerlevanmerwijk7862 they all wont get the miraculouses. Luka will get snake but thats about it confirmed. Both Mari and Adrien will use SOME of the zodiac miraculouses and even fuse them to make more power! this was all just announced few days ago
It's a Miraculous time to be alive, I must say. Watching Rea on UA-cam while procrastinating homework, thats some good stuff right there.

YaaA I absolutely agree w ya on the official designs!! They were just really bland and they didnt stand out to me like at all! I expected em to be more colorful since all of the main ones were really bright and unique. Hell, even Plagg had purple in him, which made him look like a space cat!

I looooove it! I am a bit disappointed when it comes to the original designs as well. Not that it's a big issue, but now that you mentoin it, the designs could've been a bit more original. And I never noticed the changes they made to the tiger's design!? Why did they do that, I love the first design so much!
I love horses and I was hoping for a nice horse design, but the horse's design was probably the most disappointing if you ask me. And I personally didn't like your design that much either, I'm sorry. I do love the others you redesigned, but the horse was too dark purple in my opinion. If you used more different shades of purple and maybe some white (white markings would've been cool, like a special dots pattern on it's head and back or legs for example), I think it would've looked better. But that's just me. I do like the fact that you made it purple though. It made it much more original. And the mane are adorable and awesome.
I do love your design for the dog and the pig! The original pig wasn't that bad in my opinion though, I like the black spot around the eye. But I love your curly tail!
The rooster is a bit confusing for me. I love the way you used the colours but I also feel like you could've added more color to it. I have mixed feelings about your design haha.

Also, I'm sorry if I bother you with this, but I love the way you draw kwamis and I think it'd be great if you made some sort of small comics with them. You could use your own designs or the original, I think both would be great. With small I mean something like 5 panels as a max. Nothing big or special. Just small and cute comics. I know you're busy and I do appreciate your hard work, especially with nuzrea, I love the dub, but it was just a suggestion.

You know what else is boring?
Ladybug’s freaking costume. It’s literally a red onesie with black spots.
I mean, there's not much you can do with a ladybug. Same with Cat Noir and Queen Bees costumes.
@@bluebay1031 You can do heaps with the red and black patters on Ladybug. There have been so many fun redesigns that people have made and I prefer them over what she has now. You can also add/change what Cat Noir wears with still keeping things black, and you can switch around some of the stripes with the Bee.
There are lots of different patterns on a ladybug's shell! Thomas also says that Marinette's pigtails are supposed to represent a ladybug's wings in flight, but that's kinda boring, give her a cape or something dammit!

Its weird, i know the black cat is bad luck and the ladybug is good luck but why not go with the dragon and the phoenix? they both represent the yin and yang way better
I didn’t actually know at first that the other Kwamis were based off of the Chinese zodiac, even though I TAKE CHINESE CLASS AND I SHOULD HAVE RECOGNIZED IT and I was kinda throwing inner shade at the creators IN MY HEAD for making all the kwamis except for Sass, the tiger boi aka my son, the Phoenix, and the dragon barnyard animals. I thought the ox was cool though! But anyways now that you cleared that up for me there is no more shade, and I absolutely love your designs! Glad to see you back Rea!!!!!!!

@@Cheetahgirl_Studios The added kwamis are based on the zodiac. The two are based on yin-yang and the 5 miraculouses aren't based on the Chinese zodiac

I personally prefer your designs to the official ones. My reasoning: yeah, these designs are more uniform in appearance; not in that they're bland or uninteresting (*definitely not*) but to sell the idea that they're not only alien-like creatures, but merely resembling these animals and not directly lifted. And, they're not only or colorful, bright and cheery(which you'd think you want for a kids' show), is also fits the superhero aesthetic of bright and flashy.
YAY IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THE OTHER KWAMI WERE SUPER BORING! They just seemed so generic compared to the others.
I'm pretty sure the things on Tikki's butt are tail feathers to reference the other name for the ladybug, ladybird.
I think it would be cool for the Chinese zodiac kawaii to follow a reverse-color wheel color scheme

I just realized that the French word for joke is blague (the pronunciation is the same as Plagg just with a B instead of a P). Maybe that's why Chat Noir says a pun every 5 seconds

Though the fox and moth kwamis don't have straight up antennae, they have antenna-like ends to their wings and ears. So basically all of them have antennae

I LOVE THESE REDESIGNS!! First time I saw them I was really disappointed too but then I quickly just accepted them cause I knew there was no use being upset over them. But omg after what you said I completely agree, and your redesigns are so spot on! They are totally harmonious with the others while keeping their features! I really like the horse one (and making it purple makes it SO COOL) I love the markings you put on them too!! The dog also has so much more personality and THE EYES ARE SO COOL. They're all around SO MUCH better than the original omg

I LOVE them!🥰🥳🎆🎇 Yours capture the feeling of Kwamis than the shows designs. My only complaint is that Long isn't a light electric blue. He is a weather dragon he should be blue not red,red Chinese dragons represent good luck.
Some of them took a while to realize what animal they are but overall I agree that they look much better! Maybe costume designs next? (Not all of them but I guess a few that you have ideas on)

Orikko didn’t need a beak imo. I love Duusu’s design, because she looks alien but still somewhat reminiscent of an actual peacock with her swoopy tail. I personally feel like Orikko’s design would’ve looked better if he didn’t have a beak.
Btw I am absolutely LOVING her redesign of Kaalki. She looks so badass.

I love how colorful you made them! Even if they do stand out against the main seven I think that it's a better alternative than the more realistic color palette given in the show (considering all the the actual show is I think that it just seems out of place to have basically all the other kwamis looking as normal as some alien super hero pals can get)

Agree! Her costume is both awful and overrated. Like idk why people praise her design sm when it's literally one of the worst designs in this show.
