Homeless take over building. It burns down. Owner passes cost to insurance. Insurance passes cost to the member pool. As long as the costs be passed along, as long as effects can be passed along, the juicy moral superiority virtue signaling is going to enable homelessness more and more.
And they did. Luuwit View Park was covered in debris, ash, asbestos. They had to close the park. Not to mention the apartments near by also had dangerous debris and had to maintain small fires in their yards. Of course that was never reported.

Lots of traffic, pollution, unsafe crossing for the kids going to school. And there are way too many of these spaces along Sandy, Airport Dr, Marine Blvd that have been vacant for many years.
