This has to be one of the most rewarding builds I have followed. This is building no#8 and it was the hardest. Its amazing. Thanks so much for sharing!!! Amazing guide.
I plan on building this in survival, and have just started gathering materials, however its a bad start cuz I had almost a full shulker of spruce but I somehow managed to misplace it somewhere in the forest lmao Edit 1: End of Day 1, I spent the entire day gathering wood for resources, I have made all the wooden components required in this build, however I don't have an ocean anywhere near where I am building this, so I will most likely replace the dead coral blocks with cobblestone or something with a similar color/texture. Edit 2: About halfway through day 2, I've gathered the rest or the resources for the build (mostly a good amount of iron), and have found a decently flat area to build it (between a mesa and plains), and have started doing some minor terraforming to even out a 37x37 area. Edit 3: So its technically day 3 now, but I haven't slept yet and have pretty much been working on the build nonstop (except for a couple food breaks), but I'm on the third level now, however a creeper just blew up the chests that were sorting all the items so now everything is just in random chests unorganized, not sure if I lost any blocks from the explosion, but I did lose a few chest blocks. Edit 4: Its 11:50am, day 3, still have not slept yet because of how invested I already am on this build. The main building has been finished, time to work on the surroundings! I plan on making a video touring it, and the surrounding area. Edit 5: 1:06pm, and I have fully completed the surroundings and structure. It is technically fully complete, all I have left is to do some extra terraforming to make it look more natural. The build took me in total about ~7 hours of gathering resources and ~20 hours of playtime to complete the entire build.
@@yellowfox2318 It didnt damage the structure at all, more or less the chests with all the materials, and not a lot seems to be missing. Just a few stacks of stripped dark oak, and some redstone lamps
i’m about to give up though i’m getting impatient and i might go into creative i did the first floor in survival but it’s taking ages pls help i need ur insight
I made this identical to this one except instead of dark oak for the roof tiles i used dark prismarine blocks, it pops a bit better and its accurate to alot of japanese architecture, could have never done this with you, thank you!!
Mike_97 did you use the dark prismarine blocks to replace the stripped dark oak on the roof or did you replace the dark oak slabs with prismarine slabs
I've completed this in 2 different survival worlds. The grind is crazy! Bonemeal was my best friend LOL Yesterday I started again and with the help of creative mode I was able to finish (only the tower) in 6 hours! *Thank you for this tutorial!
If someone is confused by icons, here is the full list of needed materials: 1960 Dark Oak Slabs 1650 Spruce Slabs 1400 Stripped Dark Oak Logs 960 Spruce Stairs 920 Stripped Spruce Logs 720 Oak Slabs 692 Spruce Trapdoors 593 Spruce Fences 548 Spruce Fence Gates 536 Stripped Oak Logs 340 Redstone Dust 340 Redstone Lamps 308 Dark Oak Stairs 296 Oak Logs 288 Stripped Birch Logs 248 Campfires 240 Dead Bubble Coral Blocks 232 Spruce Signs 181 Dark Oak Trapdoors 180 Barrels 172 Lanterns 140 Polished Andesite Slabs 108 Andesite 100 Oak Leaves 68 Smooth Stone Slabs 64 Dead Brain Coral Blocks 48 Ladders 44 Dark Oak Planks 38 Andesite Walls 32 Glowstones 24 Jungle Trapdoors 24 Polished Andesite Stairs 20 Hoppers 20 Levers 12 Stone Pressure Plates 6 Anvils Anytime!
I did this construction in survival and it took a total of almost 5 or 6 IRL days to finish it, 3 days gathering materials and another 2 and a half days to do the construction and remodeling to make it functional in survival (changing slabs for whole blocks, lighting and building a spiral staircase in the middle of the tower because I didn't like having a super detailed tower and having to climb with a simple ladder, add chests, furnaces, i added an lightning rod in the top of the tower with a lantern below to avoid storms and get the tower burned down, etc) P.s: Excellent tutorial, very detailed and nice explained, i hope i build more from this channel.. P.s 2: The only thing I had a problem with was finding the name of some of the blocks in the list of materials and I was missing some materials, such as spruce slabs or wooden planks. The next one would be quite useful to have a list with the amount of materials and their name on the side to avoid misunderstandings with some blocks (example dark wood and spruce wood)
The amount of hours you’ve spent making this shows as it’s honestly one of the best tutorials I’ve seen in awhile. It’s rare to find someone put the amount of materials you need and it’s really easy to follow along with. Even just the tiny details such as the sound effects you put in really made me appreciate this. Thank you for the tutorial, you have a new subscriber
Thank you for this amazing video! i made this myself on a survival server with friends. the amount of wood that is in this build is mindblowing but totally worth it to chop down entire forests!
If anyone is wondering and wanna built it in survival you will need : 15 stack of oak log 35-40 stk of spruce 30 stck of Dark oak 5 stck of Birch To make all the sticks/chest/camp fire... consider at least 3 more stacks of wood Edit: update on this project: People that said that it took them 3-4 days are fakin it or are in creative. I spent 2 days on ressources and 3 days on the first step (the one before copying 3 times). I play an average of 3 hours/day
axel fernholm Kinda accurate For the slab ive divided by 8 for exemple But ull need more then 3 random stack of wood cz u need so many sticks and logs (camp fire/ signs/ fences...)
it took me a lot more spruce because simply 14 stacks is for logs and then we have to build all fences, signs and gates of spruce... i'd say 40 stacks but thanks for the estimate. :D
I defiantly couldn’t build this in 3 days, but as many people are inside all day anyways, you probably could get the wood in less than a day, if you have access to the biomes quickly and possess fully enchanted diamond axes and shulker boxes.
Thanks for this easy guide! Finally made this in survival mode within a week. If you're planning to make this, better collect all materials first before starting.
this tutorial was amazing. it was perfectly paced; not too fast, not too slow. the editing is amazing. i wish all tutorials could be formatted like this. thank you!!

Doesn't matter if you live in a Cave or a beautiful Japanese architectural marvel.Once you put crafting table, furnish and bed together. It's a home.....
Just finished them main build, been working at it for roughly a month (working full time, school full time, and my ability to be side tracked easily have caused me slow progress) but it’s an absolutely fantastic centerpiece for the massive village I have planned on a realm. Thank you for such an amazing tutorial!
The fact that you even designed such a beautiful house, and then made a tutorial! Shows me you deserve my sub. I built this in survival, let me tell you, it's *hard*
I followed this tutorial, and i have to say, it's the best build ive ever made. the tutorial is high-quality and descriptive. awesome! and can we just note that this guy thought of all of this?! just blows my mind.
Android User gave up because I gathered 100% of the material and done the most noob thing. Went AFK next to my chests without logging off and creepers came and exploded the chest and they de-spawned. I still had the planks and all but the stripped logs were gone and because of that I gave up my friends were getting angry at me for not replanting the trees again after I broke them
Took me 1 whole day to gather ALL the materials needed for this. When I started building, I thought like, "How am I going to build this.....? This is too big and so much detail..." But I did it! I built the entire thing! It took me about 5-6 days to complete it because I don't have that much free time on my hands. I did all this in survival. It was so worth it! I thank you so much for the tutorial on this because it's making me more open-minded and more experienced in building Japanese themed houses! Thank you so much
Dude, when I was building this in my world, I was in love!! When I did the first layer and I saw I had to do more I was like "OH HECKS NAH, let's wait for that for tomorrow!" Today is the day I just finished this build. After I did the second layer I already had the pattern of how to do the layers memorized in my head. I only did 4 layers, not 5 because I didn't have the time for it. It was a really awesome and fun build!

When did you have the time to put this in comments
I plan on building this in survival, and have just started gathering materials, however its a bad start cuz I had almost a full shulker of spruce but I somehow managed to misplace it somewhere in the forest lmao
Edit 1: End of Day 1, I spent the entire day gathering wood for resources, I have made all the wooden components required in this build, however I don't have an ocean anywhere near where I am building this, so I will most likely replace the dead coral blocks with cobblestone or something with a similar color/texture.
Leaving a comment to just see the progress 👍🏻
I hope that creeper didn't do much damage, wish you best luck❤️
@@yellowfox2318 It didnt damage the structure at all, more or less the chests with all the materials, and not a lot seems to be missing. Just a few stacks of stripped dark oak, and some redstone lamps

I did this construction in survival and it took a total of almost 5 or 6 IRL days to finish it, 3 days gathering materials and another 2 and a half days to do the construction and remodeling to make it functional in survival (changing slabs for whole blocks, lighting and building a spiral staircase in the middle of the tower because I didn't like having a super detailed tower and having to climb with a simple ladder, add chests, furnaces, i added an lightning rod in the top of the tower with a lantern below to avoid storms and get the tower burned down, etc)
P.s: Excellent tutorial, very detailed and nice explained, i hope i build more from this channel..

Bob Almighty can you tell me how tall it is??!
Better than me I just started and I've got up to the first roof level and it took me litterally most of the day
If anyone is wondering and wanna built it in survival you will need :
15 stack of oak log
35-40 stk of spruce
30 stck of Dark oak
5 stck of Birch
To make all the sticks/chest/camp fire... consider at least 3 more stacks of wood
Edit: update on this project:
People that said that it took them 3-4 days are fakin it or are in creative. I spent 2 days on ressources and 3 days on the first step (the one before copying 3 times). I play an average of 3 hours/day
Khad how did you calculate that? Is it accurate?
axel fernholm Kinda accurate
For the slab ive divided by 8 for exemple
But ull need more then 3 random stack of wood cz u need so many sticks and logs (camp fire/ signs/ fences...)
it took me a lot more spruce because simply 14 stacks is for logs and then we have to build all fences, signs and gates of spruce... i'd say 40 stacks but thanks for the estimate. :D
I defiantly couldn’t build this in 3 days, but as many people are inside all day anyways, you probably could get the wood in less than a day, if you have access to the biomes quickly and possess fully enchanted diamond axes and shulker boxes.
I already had all the resources ready, just had to farm up some dirt. I spent 4 days building and it was worth it
