Moskva is still a staple in clan battles since it's a pretty good tank. Also among all Russian cruiser it has the longest radar at about 45 seconds which is crazy since it has 12 km.
I have never seen a competent moskva player, the ones I encounter are always sailing broadside to me and my teammates. It’s good to see a good player play it.
legendary mod moskva is a soviet sniper. its a more accurate and nimble stalingrad. although it doesnt pack the pen and alpha damage. cant think of anything better for sniping dds
Loved when I first got the moskva, I got the Yoshino a few weeks earlier but got a 25% off coupon for coal and used it for the moskva. first game 21 citadels from ranges of 15km and more
Hey, I’ve played it recently and had one insane game. 6 kills and down a 1v1. Due to the large citadel and massive detection range, I find Moskva has a hard time getting through the early game. Once the map opens up and you can get a little bit on a flank it synergizes really well with with a central BB.
The citadel is definitely tough to work around but I find the large detection works in its favor. I play Moskva as a mixed open water kiting ship and island camper, using steering gears mod 1 to dodge shells (it gets a deceptively good rudder shift time with the 20% buff) and the top grade gunner skill to reduce the reload time when against an island or pushing aggressively.
In paper the armor seem pretty good with icebreaker bow but in battle it has own gravity to attract shell to it citadel😓For everyone don't know half of side armor is its citadel which can be pen by lite curser AP and some DD can do it too
I’ve always felt the unfortunate reality of cc’s being focused is that you are a known quantity that’s proven to be competent at the game. From a competitive perspective it does make sense to keep stronger pressure on you (as long as it’s not yolo rushing you exclusively). Definitely a valid reason to want a way to hide your name!

Random thought for balancing carriers: what if they made it so the ship you were targeting was ONLY visible to enemies while your planes were aiming for your shot? Like.. ONLY during your attack phase like when you're zeroing in torps or while you were in the attack phase of your rockets/bombing run? Maybe give a notification to your team using a number indicator next to the planes letting your team know how many ships they're currently spotting but only letting your team shoot them during your attack run. I think I might contact weegee I know they're working on a new system for CVs right now but this seems like a decent idea since the spotting they do is usually more detrimental than the actual damage they do
You basically just described the Attack mode/Travel Mode system they are working on right now. Aircraft will travel at max speed all the time in travel mode but are unable to spot anything and can't be attacked by AA guns unless DefAA is in use, once in attack mode they basically revert to how planes are now. Presumably "attack mode" is when going in for the attack. Effectively making the CV fully reliant on their team to spot for them. Meaning the entire battle will be handed to DDs, and the team with the best DDs is going to win.
@@Stephen__White oh wasn't 100% on how their rework was gonna affect things. I read the patch notes but must not have grasped that part xD they could make it so the CV can see its target even while traveling but only renders ships while they're attacking so they don't have to rely on DDs. Unless I'm misunderstanding that again sorry my brain doesn't work well I'm literally the smart friend who has to have things dumbed down when first learning
@@AlvinYorkII They could do that, but that wouldn't really change CVs from what they are like now in the eyes of most people. Wargaming is likely going to continue with their proposed changes of basically blinding CVs until they attack, because their idea is to heavily reduce the spotting ability of CVs, while somehow retaining the damage and earnings they have now. How? No idea yet, we'll know next month or so.
Ok moskva main here(i do have a good amount of games in it and good stats in the ship as well), and i will say i do recommend getting the ship if you're good at positioning, i think PQ did give a good showcase in this video as he got good potential numbers and didnt get nuked in 5 seconds First off it gets a bad rep because of idiots who go broadside or people who think they can gamer turn like the crutchropavlovsk -now I'll give some reasons for anyone who does wanna try playing it over other RU cruisers Secondly the reason to play it over the two tech tree ships is that you can switch between roles ingame giving you the flexibility. Who cares if nevsky technically he spams better if the game state changes and you need to push in, or, if you're in a petro and you end up needing to long range kite the enemy push, petro also is incredibly hand holdy with pen angles and freeboard making positioning skill matter far less, but you can still make use of moskvas ap and the full 50mm playing with some thought Thirdly, Stalingrad is mainly better in comp where there are less people shooting at you and the AP matters more, it all does in randoms but with the state of randoms i will take that reduced burn time and better maneuverability(in respect to stalin) for now Finally, the main advantage is your ridiculous radar, after building into it you can achieve a 12km 40 second radar on a ship with decent dpm thats also somewhat tanky, the duration is technically achievable on nevsky but good luck keeping a 30mm cruiser alive at these ranges without very extensive island cover
Anonymized helps. I used to play in a super competitive clan in world of tanks. When I played pubs I’d get focused pretty hard because of my clan tag. Once I went anonymous it went away.
Plane kills have a ton of XP, I got an AA defence expert and 24k damage in a Worcester the other day, my div mate in a thunderer did over 200k and got lower on the leaderboard
I really love the moskva, it and des moines are my favorite tier 10 ships. But i have to admit that with moskva, in contrast to DM, its not really about the ships strength for me as much as it is one of my favorites because of nostalgia. It really has been power crept a lot. Still workable for sure, and i can get some decent scores and high winrates out of it consistently, but 200k+ games are very rare for me whereas i get them regularly in the DM. Just compare moskva AP pen to Petro pen and yeah thats all you really need to see to understand why its a bit outclassed these days.
Have enough coal for a Coal ship, looking at a Tier IX or X cruiser. I keep coming back to the Moskva, and then I see hits like you took at 3:07 minutes in . . . Oy!
For Clan Battles, and Coal... This one is actually the best cruiser I've picked up. Then the Napoli, much like the Petro and Nevsky got banned. Which happens a lot, and another reason if I'm going to go as a cruiser driver in Clan Battles. I'll take the Moskva. One of my team mates got a Stalingrad, and in essence, his is a bit better, but he's not as good of a player, and with 21km range, Moskva can sit back with the BB and just plug away as needed. All in all. I"d say she is deffinetly above average, and when they start banning ships, she ranks a bit higher for what's left. (IMOH)
I'll add to your "Remove CVs, remove Subs, add an anonymizer" with "Remove overmatch", and "change rewards to benefit ships playing their class right". That would make me quite content if I could stop being punished in Cruisers while doing everything right, just because that Battleship has 431mm+ guns. It would also be nice and do a fair bit to solve the passive meta, if say BBs got 60% or more of their end of battle rewards from potential damage, DDs and Subs got it from spotting damage and kill ribbons, Cruisers and CVs got it from raw damage. That way BBs are incentivised to push up and tank damage, DDs and Subs are incentivised to spot things and finish off low hp targets, and Cruisers and CVs would go mostly unchanged except CVs would have to get their reward for raw damage buffed back up to normal levels. Though I doubt that would be a very popular change, much like removing CVs a class of ship a lot of players enjoy, and removing Subs that while fewer players enjoy the community as a whole had been asking for them for at least 7 years(I'd been seeing people asking for subs quite often when I first started playing the game in 2017). I will agree an anonymizer would be nice to have though, though I have a slightly different reason for it. I've noticed players get demoralized when a strong clan has a div on the other team, and seeing as it would be beneficial for clans to use the anonymizer it would help stop people from just giving up the moment the battle starts, it would also make using MMMonitor a lot harder, so hopefully we would have fewer people bitching about the average win rate of each team and just giving up if theirs is lower than the other teams. I have legitimately seen someone give up because their team had an average win rate of 51% and the other team was 53%. This person was also the lowest win rate on their team, and then complained about how unfair it was and how it just "proved" that the MM "fixes" games after basically putting their team into a 11 v 12 scenario, and their team lost. Also as someone else also pointed out the person who said "everyone shoot him!" was a DD not the CV, and the CV didn't really harass you to much past the start and end of the battle and didn't do substantial damage ether time. Seems he basically lost his squad to the two Moskva's worth of AA at around 3:54, then decided to go elsewhere until your buddy died.
Cool to still see validity in the tech tree be in Russian bias. Thing is with Moskva you gotta position properly, and kiting on a flank is better for start of game. The guns are great and given that you can run and dodge, kiting suits the cruiser. Being nose in even with the ice breaker means you are destined to have no escape as the detect is like 14km. well played. On the CC thing I run into CC's who are mostly in a divvy of 3 to pad out their stats so why not smash em. 3 ship divvys of good players should always be a focus.
Actually it was the Akizuki who said to focus fire on you. The Big E was just doing what a CV can do. Just as sep said. They're not ready for the consequences. 😅
It seems to me that it would be good to create a tear list with unique upgrades - the resource required for their purchase is now probably the most difficult to obtain. This is due to the fact that now almost all 10 ships have such modules, plus a very strong module for the "golden lion" is obtained. It would also be nice to create a tear list of tech tree that are best suited for a faster farm of this resource. For example - destroyers of Japan can be very well suited for this - a very easy class to earn survey if you have a brain, and both branches are very strong in their subclasses.
Yes and no.. the Petro is the Heavy cruiser but the actual position of the Moskva is where the Nevskiy is now. The Petro and the Moskva didn't fit the Light cruiser line so they moved it and added the Heavy cruiser line when they started to distinguish the two separate lines.
This is a good ship but the Nevsky is just so much better! More DPM, torps, 50mm bow ( bottom half), Incredible AA, faster, better armor layout (shells disappear into it), and last but not least 1000 FPS guns! hitting stuff at range is easy! This is not a bad ship but the Nev is just so much better. If you really want the 220 vs the 180 the petro underwater cit is just amazing and even more troll armor. For the record the DM is still good but its got to close to get the shells to hit or island camp... shells are just so slow in flight, even if it spits them out every 5 seconds.
Moskva is my 2nd coal ship after the Marceau. I also got Petro and Stalingrad but I think Moskva is by far the best of the 3 ships. Coming from a battleship, of course the Stalingrad is the first pick because of the guns, but it sucks otherwise. (no hydro, very long and bad at maneuvering) I'm running the targeting indicator captain skill and when I play Stalin, i always go up instantly to 6 ships targeting me. Also, the Petro is kinda meh. The guns are underwhelming in the current meta and the radar duration is too short to be really useful. Also, the turret traverse speed is straight up bad. So, coming from a cruiser player, the Moskva really is above the other 2, because it shines in so many aspects. The armour layout is good, the HP pool is good, the guns AND the reload are good and the consumables are all useful. I never understood the people recommending Petro or Stalin over Moskva. Especially if you don't have the "BB glasses" on. Yes, you eat citadels when showing broadside, but you do that in Petro and Stalin as well. But: For all 3 ships combinend, I played roughly 430 games and only got death struck once in Moskva. (and 0 times in the other 2 ships) Yes, you have to know what you are doing, but saying the ship is bad because is definitly wrong. It just has other strengths you can and have to play to.
I'm still considering about wether i pick Napoli or Yoshino for coal I don't quite like moskva because of it's concealment and how squishy it can be,for Napoli my friend told me that i better get the legend commander Luigi first before buying the ship because of it's range extension so I'm not gonna do all that stuff,for Yoshino it's just a bigger zao but at least it has decent long range capability so i might buy that

Played an Atago game the other day where the CV totally focused me with torps non-stop the ENTIRE game. Total BS - is why i avoid playing randoms as much as humanly possible. Also I played a lot of WOT and anonomized players get focused a lot - because if they were avg joes they wouldn't need to anonomize... Also PQ - thanks heaps for your vids! Just getting back into WOWS after starting in 2015 - hating getting spammed from other side of map by BB's using aim-bots so quit. Theye didn't have all the PvE they have now either which is a nice change from PvP in WOT/WOWS. I am not interested in playing against guys with all 21pt captains and max upgrades etc - hardly fair.
Don't take this personal. But I would be the first to suggest to my team that they focus you. Except I would not be an idiot and let the red team know what I was thinking. You are an elite player. Any team that does not make it a point to focus a key players if he shows a bit of skin, is looking to lose. Great video though.
Moskva for me is probably the most difficult to play T10 cruiser. Horrible concealment, maneuverability and citadel protection is a very frustrating combo. Not saying it's a bad ship, but playing it is definitely not a relaxing experience
To everyone who thinks it went too well against the CV: It was just a T8 CV and he still flew into the AA of two Moskvas and got a full strike off at one point.

Sorry bro, but when you are a known figure, and one who is known to play well, much better than the average player, you are fair game. If you don’t like it, play with an alt account, etc. it’s basically no different than someone recognising a top tier player in your region and telling everyone to shoot them. This is honestly more a you issue than him. He was public about it, not stream sniping, etc. so yeah. Don’t be precious, recognise you are a known good player and any smart player who recognises you is going to tell his team to focus you.
Asymmetric battles have improved AI and the bots have pixel perfect accuracy. If you want to play cruiser you need to choose one that does not have exposed citadel and can not be overmatched through bow. See Napoli. Even the Petro explodes to these bots.
Moskva is a terrible choice for Asymmetric. However when the game mode came out earlier last year I had a great Moskva game. Bowed tanked on an island with a Marseille on my flank to like 350k damage game. Play it right and it will sing for you. Expose the sides and you will die quickly.

They cant take the subs out. There are people like me who paid a lot to get em. I am probably older than you folks and don't have time. I don't remember how to play other ships because I played this game when it first launched and was a BB player with a Yamato. So now its illegal to remove them.
I mean, when you are famous for being better than average at this game, doesn't it make tactical sense for the red team to kill you? I agree an anonymizer, or perhaps just letting you change your press account name freely, would be good for people in your situation but until that happens it's sensible to focus known good players.
Sometimes oldies can do good. I got 4300 Bexp in a kagero with torp reload game. Got a torp hit on akizuki at the start and then free reign in enemy's half of the map spotting and torping everything. But with subs with spoting range of 2km and carriers its very tough to play 8 games out of 10.
In the current meta, this ship is just below average, it's insane to have detection higher then half the BBs in the game :) probably could use a buff there maybe reduce it to 12.5km
No lmao, Moskva is a great ship, it’s balanced around the detect and being punished when broadside. Play well and go bow in and you’ll be one of the most tanky cruisers in the game
The guy telling everyone you shoot you was just trying to be funny and was obviously a fan due to his use of the smiley face...And the carrier only focused you when you started to charge him so you can't really blame him.
It seems to me that the aircraft carrier often attacked you due to the fact that your cruisers have such an anti-aircraft defense... But due to the fact that the ship is huge, it is not so difficult to miss, especially when you are constrained in maneuvers due to the obstruction of the islands. In addition, the owner has a rare aircraft carrier - he must remember Moscow's weaknesses. And he is weak player... Most of CV players right now are weak.... make them more weaker - it`s like racism in game but when hate are to some class (like hate to snipers in fps or assassins' in rpg).. But you were also very close to him and his planes weren't very fast, meaning he could use that for more attacks. I'm not sure that Enterprise caused at least 70k damage And who would he attack? Des Moines or Montana? Or through the entire map for Shikishima (which, by the way, has a good anti-aircraft defense due to the fact that there is a universal 100mm)
i get the sub and cv hate, i dont understand why DD's aren't included there just subs that fire more torps, move faster and are not restricted by dive time , and you can do more to dodge a cv attack than a wall of skill from a DD you dont even see till its basically hit you already. they had already gutted the fun out of the game making it passive and boring before these new CV's even appeared let alone the subs.
The reason DD's are not hated anymore is because of the original rock paper scissor gameplay that Wows started out with. DD's counter BB's, cruisers counter DD's, and BB's counter cruisers. Moskva is still a staple in clan battles since it's a pretty good tank. Also among all Russian cruiser it has the longest radar at about 45 seconds which is crazy since it has 12 km.
I have never seen a competent moskva player, the ones I encounter are always sailing broadside to me and my teammates. It’s good to see a good player play it.

Loved when I first got the moskva, I got the Yoshino a few weeks earlier but got a 25% off coupon for coal and used it for the moskva. first game 21 citadels from ranges of 15km and more
Hey, I’ve played it recently and had one insane game. 6 kills and down a 1v1. Due to the large citadel and massive detection range, I find Moskva has a hard time getting through the early game. Once the map opens up and you can get a little bit on a flank it synergizes really well with with a central BB.
The citadel is definitely tough to work around but I find the large detection works in its favor. I play Moskva as a mixed open water kiting ship and island camper, using steering gears mod 1 to dodge shells (it gets a deceptively good rudder shift time with the 20% buff) and the top grade gunner skill to reduce the reload time when against an island or pushing aggressively.

In paper the armor seem pretty good with icebreaker bow but in battle it has own gravity to attract shell to it citadel😓For everyone don't know half of side armor is its citadel which can be pen by lite curser AP and some DD can do it too
I’ve always felt the unfortunate reality of cc’s being focused is that you are a known quantity that’s proven to be competent at the game. From a competitive perspective it does make sense to keep stronger pressure on you (as long as it’s not yolo rushing you exclusively). Definitely a valid reason to want a way to hide your name!
On the other side, your own team mates are WAY more likely to help you, be nice to you, etc

Random thought for balancing carriers: what if they made it so the ship you were targeting was ONLY visible to enemies while your planes were aiming for your shot? Like.. ONLY during your attack phase like when you're zeroing in torps or while you were in the attack phase of your rockets/bombing run? Maybe give a notification to your team using a number indicator next to the planes letting your team know how many ships they're currently spotting but only letting your team shoot them during your attack run. I think I might contact weegee I know they're working on a new system for CVs right now but this seems like a decent idea since the spotting they do is usually more detrimental than the actual damage they do
You basically just described the Attack mode/Travel Mode system they are working on right now. Aircraft will travel at max speed all the time in travel mode but are unable to spot anything and can't be attacked by AA guns unless DefAA is in use, once in attack mode they basically revert to how planes are now. Presumably "attack mode" is when going in for the attack.
Effectively making the CV fully reliant on their team to spot for them. Meaning the entire battle will be handed to DDs, and the team with the best DDs is going to win.
@@Stephen__White oh wasn't 100% on how their rework was gonna affect things. I read the patch notes but must not have grasped that part xD they could make it so the CV can see its target even while traveling but only renders ships while they're attacking so they don't have to rely on DDs. Unless I'm misunderstanding that again sorry my brain doesn't work well I'm literally the smart friend who has to have things dumbed down when first learning

Wargaming is likely going to continue with their proposed changes of basically blinding CVs until they attack, because their idea is to heavily reduce the spotting ability of CVs, while somehow retaining the damage and earnings they have now. How? No idea yet, we'll know next month or so.

Ok moskva main here(i do have a good amount of games in it and good stats in the ship as well), and i will say i do recommend getting the ship if you're good at positioning, i think PQ did give a good showcase in this video as he got good potential numbers and didnt get nuked in 5 seconds

-now I'll give some reasons for anyone who does wanna try playing it over other RU cruisers
Secondly the reason to play it over the two tech tree ships is that you can switch between roles ingame giving you the flexibility. Who cares if nevsky technically he spams better if the game state changes and you need to push in, or, if you're in a petro and you end up needing to long range kite the enemy push, petro also is incredibly hand holdy with pen angles and freeboard making positioning skill matter far less, but you can still make use of moskvas ap and the full 50mm playing with some thought
Thirdly, Stalingrad is mainly better in comp where there are less people shooting at you and the AP matters more, it all does in randoms but with the state of randoms i will take that reduced burn time and better maneuverability(in respect to stalin) for now
Finally, the main advantage is your ridiculous radar, after building into it you can achieve a 12km 40 second radar on a ship with decent dpm thats also somewhat tanky, the duration is technically achievable on nevsky but good luck keeping a 30mm cruiser alive at these ranges without very extensive island cover
Anonymized helps. I used to play in a super competitive clan in world of tanks. When I played pubs I’d get focused pretty hard because of my clan tag. Once I went anonymous it went away.
Plane kills have a ton of XP, I got an AA defence expert and 24k damage in a Worcester the other day, my div mate in a thunderer did over 200k and got lower on the leaderboard

I really love the moskva, it and des moines are my favorite tier 10 ships. But i have to admit that with moskva, in contrast to DM, its not really about the ships strength for me as much as it is one of my favorites because of nostalgia. It really has been power crept a lot. Still workable for sure, and i can get some decent scores and high winrates out of it consistently, but 200k+ games are very rare for me whereas i get them regularly in the DM. Just compare moskva AP pen to Petro pen and yeah thats all you really need to see to understand why its a bit outclassed these days.

For Clan Battles, and Coal... This one is actually the best cruiser I've picked up. Then the Napoli, much like the Petro and Nevsky got banned. Which happens a lot, and another reason if I'm going to go as a cruiser driver in Clan Battles. I'll take the Moskva. One of my team mates got a Stalingrad, and in essence, his is a bit better, but he's not as good of a player, and with 21km range, Moskva can sit back with the BB and just plug away as needed. All in all. I"d say she is deffinetly above average, and when they start banning ships, she ranks a bit higher for what's left. (IMOH)
I'll add to your "Remove CVs, remove Subs, add an anonymizer" with "Remove overmatch", and "change rewards to benefit ships playing their class right". That would make me quite content if I could stop being punished in Cruisers while doing everything right, just because that Battleship has 431mm+ guns. It would also be nice and do a fair bit to solve the passive meta, if say BBs got 60% or more of their end of battle rewards from potential damage, DDs and Subs got it from spotting damage and kill ribbons, Cruisers and CVs got it from raw damage. That way BBs are incentivised to push up and tank damage, DDs and Subs are incentivised to spot things and finish off low hp targets, and Cruisers and CVs would go mostly unchanged except CVs would have to get their reward for raw damage buffed back up to normal levels.
Though I doubt that would be a very popular change, much like removing CVs a class of ship a lot of players enjoy, and removing Subs that while fewer players enjoy the community as a whole had been asking for them for at least 7 years(I'd been seeing people asking for subs quite often when I first started playing the game in 2017).
I will agree an anonymizer would be nice to have though, though I have a slightly different reason for it. I've noticed players get demoralized when a strong clan has a div on the other team, and seeing as it would be beneficial for clans to use the anonymizer it would help stop people from just giving up the moment the battle starts, it would also make using MMMonitor a lot harder, so hopefully we would have fewer people bitching about the average win rate of each team and just giving up if theirs is lower than the other teams. I have legitimately seen someone give up because their team had an average win rate of 51% and the other team was 53%. This person was also the lowest win rate on their team, and then complained about how unfair it was and how it just "proved" that the MM "fixes" games after basically putting their team into a 11 v 12 scenario, and their team lost.
Also as someone else also pointed out the person who said "everyone shoot him!" was a DD not the CV, and the CV didn't really harass you to much past the start and end of the battle and didn't do substantial damage ether time. Seems he basically lost his squad to the two Moskva's worth of AA at around 3:54, then decided to go elsewhere until your buddy died.
on top it can be quite counterproductive to just focus one player.

Cool to still see validity in the tech tree be in Russian bias. Thing is with Moskva you gotta position properly, and kiting on a flank is better for start of game. The guns are great and given that you can run and dodge, kiting suits the cruiser. Being nose in even with the ice breaker means you are destined to have no escape as the detect is like 14km. well played. On the CC thing I run into CC's who are mostly in a divvy of 3 to pad out their stats so why not smash em. 3 ship divvys of good players should always be a focus.

It seems to me that it would be good to create a tear list with unique upgrades - the resource required for their purchase is now probably the most difficult to obtain.
This is due to the fact that now almost all 10 ships have such modules, plus a very strong module for the "golden lion" is obtained.
It would also be nice to create a tear list of tech tree that are best suited for a faster farm of this resource. For example - destroyers of Japan can be very well suited for this - a very easy class to earn survey if you have a brain, and both branches are very strong in their subclasses.

Yes and no.. the Petro is the Heavy cruiser but the actual position of the Moskva is where the Nevskiy is now. The Petro and the Moskva didn't fit the Light cruiser line so they moved it and added the Heavy cruiser line when they started to distinguish the two separate lines.

Moskva is very punishing to play that does not forgive mistakes but if you can use her right, she's basically a Des Moines with railguns.
This is a good ship but the Nevsky is just so much better! More DPM, torps, 50mm bow ( bottom half), Incredible AA, faster, better armor layout (shells disappear into it), and last but not least 1000 FPS guns! hitting stuff at range is easy! This is not a bad ship but the Nev is just so much better. If you really want the 220 vs the 180 the petro underwater cit is just amazing and even more troll armor. For the record the DM is still good but its got to close to get the shells to hit or island camp... shells are just so slow in flight, even if it spits them out every 5 seconds.
Moskva is my 2nd coal ship after the Marceau. I also got Petro and Stalingrad but I think Moskva is by far the best of the 3 ships. Coming from a battleship, of course the Stalingrad is the first pick because of the guns, but it sucks otherwise. (no hydro, very long and bad at maneuvering) I'm running the targeting indicator captain skill and when I play Stalin, i always go up instantly to 6 ships targeting me.
Also, the Petro is kinda meh. The guns are underwhelming in the current meta and the radar duration is too short to be really useful. Also, the turret traverse speed is straight up bad.
So, coming from a cruiser player, the Moskva really is above the other 2, because it shines in so many aspects. The armour layout is good, the HP pool is good, the guns AND the reload are good and the consumables are all useful.
I never understood the people recommending Petro or Stalin over Moskva. Especially if you don't have the "BB glasses" on.
Yes, you eat citadels when showing broadside, but you do that in Petro and Stalin as well. But: For all 3 ships combinend, I played roughly 430 games and only got death struck once in Moskva. (and 0 times in the other 2 ships) Yes, you have to know what you are doing, but saying the ship is bad because is definitly wrong. It just has other strengths you can and have to play to.

Played an Atago game the other day where the CV totally focused me with torps non-stop the ENTIRE game. Total BS - is why i avoid playing randoms as much as humanly possible.
Also I played a lot of WOT and anonomized players get focused a lot - because if they were avg joes they wouldn't need to anonomize...
Also PQ - thanks heaps for your vids! Just getting back into WOWS after starting in 2015 - hating getting spammed from other side of map by BB's using aim-bots so quit. Theye didn't have all the PvE they have now either which is a nice change from PvP in WOT/WOWS. I am not interested in playing against guys with all 21pt captains and max upgrades etc - hardly fair.
Don't take this personal. But I would be the first to suggest to my team that they focus you. Except I would not be an idiot and let the red team know what I was thinking. You are an elite player. Any team that does not make it a point to focus a key players if he shows a bit of skin, is looking to lose. Great video though.

Moskva for me is probably the most difficult to play T10 cruiser. Horrible concealment, maneuverability and citadel protection is a very frustrating combo. Not saying it's a bad ship, but playing it is definitely not a relaxing experience

Sorry bro, but when you are a known figure, and one who is known to play well, much better than the average player, you are fair game. If you don’t like it, play with an alt account, etc. it’s basically no different than someone recognising a top tier player in your region and telling everyone to shoot them. This is honestly more a you issue than him. He was public about it, not stream sniping, etc. so yeah. Don’t be precious, recognise you are a known good player and any smart player who recognises you is going to tell his team to focus you.

Never ever show broadside in Moskva is rule number 1.
Asymmetric battles have improved AI and the bots have pixel perfect accuracy. If you want to play cruiser you need to choose one that does not have exposed citadel and can not be overmatched through bow. See Napoli. Even the Petro explodes to these bots.
Moskva is a terrible choice for Asymmetric. However when the game mode came out earlier last year I had a great Moskva game. Bowed tanked on an island with a Marseille on my flank to like 350k damage game. Play it right and it will sing for you. Expose the sides and you will die quickly.

I mean, when you are famous for being better than average at this game, doesn't it make tactical sense for the red team to kill you? I agree an anonymizer, or perhaps just letting you change your press account name freely, would be good for people in your situation but until that happens it's sensible to focus known good players.
Sometimes oldies can do good. I got 4300 Bexp in a kagero with torp reload game. Got a torp hit on akizuki at the start and then free reign in enemy's half of the map spotting and torping everything. But with subs with spoting range of 2km and carriers its very tough to play 8 games out of 10.

In the current meta, this ship is just below average, it's insane to have detection higher then half the BBs in the game :) probably could use a buff there maybe reduce it to 12.5km
No lmao, Moskva is a great ship, it’s balanced around the detect and being punished when broadside. Play well and go bow in and you’ll be one of the most tanky cruisers in the game

In clan battles they average like 1 or 2 a game. I see them roughly every 3-4th random battle at tier X.
The guy telling everyone you shoot you was just trying to be funny and was obviously a fan due to his use of the smiley face...And the carrier only focused you when you started to charge him so you can't really blame him.
It seems to me that the aircraft carrier often attacked you due to the fact that your cruisers have such an anti-aircraft defense... But due to the fact that the ship is huge, it is not so difficult to miss, especially when you are constrained in maneuvers due to the obstruction of the islands.
In addition, the owner has a rare aircraft carrier - he must remember Moscow's weaknesses. And he is weak player... Most of CV players right now are weak.... make them more weaker - it`s like racism in game but when hate are to some class (like hate to snipers in fps or assassins' in rpg)..
But you were also very close to him and his planes weren't very fast, meaning he could use that for more attacks.

And who would he attack? Des Moines or Montana? Or through the entire map for Shikishima (which, by the way, has a good anti-aircraft defense due to the fact that there is a universal 100mm)
i get the sub and cv hate, i dont understand why DD's aren't included there just subs that fire more torps, move faster and are not restricted by dive time , and you can do more to dodge a cv attack than a wall of skill from a DD you dont even see till its basically hit you already. they had already gutted the fun out of the game making it passive and boring before these new CV's even appeared let alone the subs.
The reason DD's are not hated anymore is because of the original rock paper scissor gameplay that Wows started out with. DD's counter BB's, cruisers counter DD's, and BB's counter cruisers. Hence why subs and CV's are so hated is because they are not countered by anything except their own classes, making them extremely overpowered.
I have never been able to make this ship work. Too weak and the shells are underwhelming...
You're just spoiled, dude.😉 I wouldn't do that to anyone, but most players aren't either. But you might have noticed there are a few toxic players is this game (shocked, I know). If I see your wins drop below 60% all start a campaign to petition WG for the protection of CCs. By the way, I love the Moskva, only complaint is that because of her high cit, not very forgiving of broadsides. But, if you can't play the Petro or Nevski in CB (like now), pretty solid choice.
