Ordered a full set of adjustable control arms for my 04 wj 4.7, from apoc industries over a month ago and have yet to receive them, wish I would've just ordered some core 4x4 control arms.
@ 7:37 you mention a better driveshaft and tcase. Are you saying the 4.0L/Dana 35 jeeps have a better shaft and case? I’m looking for a WJ to build so doing as much research as I can and your channel has been very helpful!
In my opinion. The 4.7 v8 does have more power and the dana44a, but it's an AWD. But the 4.0 engine has been proven more reliable, easier to work on, better t-case 4x4, better drive shaft, and both have dana 30 in the front. The dana 35 with locker did me good till I started hitting harder more technical trails.
@@kenuelvillodas8717 I don’t know if anyone makes them or not but most people just grind the back of the cap flat and make a flat piece of steel with bolt holes for a girdle
I've been very surprised by the way this one has worked. We tuck it out to the Great American Crawl event in Las Cruses, and it did well. We are going to take it out to some more trails to do more testing. But I'll keep you in mind. Thanks

My 2003 laredo has a dana 44 rear and its varilock as well, i was surprised cause i looked up the build sheet online and figured this out 🤷🏼♂️
Just make sure to keep them clutches maintained with some good oil or FM. This Dana surprised me the way it worked on the rocks.
D44a is same housing as in viper they will hold plenty of power but have to put steel straps over the carrier caps or they will crack.
I'll look into that, thanks for the advice
where can I find / buy the steel carrier bearing caps?

So you’re saying, the Rusty joint fits on a core 4 x 4, upper a arm
Yes, and they are longer as well
Hey, I've got the open diff carrier you need, I'll swap for your LS carrier. I want one.. I can bring it over this week.
