It’s pretty sick, as I just bought one the other day. It is not the Washburn, it is made in China with a bolt on neck but hey? Still sick!
Edit: The neck Seymour Duncan 59 pick up is upside down for some reason on that one you got. It needs a truss rod readjustment as well

People need to keep in mind that Eastman guitars are made in China. Concidered by many to be one of the finest Les Paul style guitars made.
Just because something is made there is absolutely no reflection of quality.
You can buy junk that's made in the USA any day of the week.
You can also by superior made in the USA items.
The same holds true for any country that manufactures.
Def can get some good guitars from China, Sadly overall it seems there are more bad than good and is why many don't want to purchase ones made there. This one is great tho!

Look for a used one, This last batch I've seen on the new ones looks a bit off finish wise, and don't have a rosewood fingerboard.

I bought the same guitar shipped to me not in tune and would not go in tune for anything. Fret buzz was so bad and it couldnt be fixed. Neck was twisted and the mounting posts for the trem were both put in slanted.. And one of the locking nut screws were stripped.. I'm almost tempted to buy another one and drop a German floyd in it, I am a sucker for the slime finish. You got a good one enjoy!
Was it a used one you bought? Sounds like it was damage in shipping if it had a twisted neck
@@trendkill3333 No man it was from Dean.. Yeah major let down.. I'm tempted to try another only because I can not afford to spend 3G's on an axe, I mean I could but I think the wife would give me the boots since my house is already being over run by Deans huge cases🤘
That’s rough. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you were able to return it. Doesn’t matter who makes them, there can always be duds in production.

It's an actual flame top, not a vinyl graphic. For this being a budget guitar, they did a killer job on it.
It’s a veneer, really thin layer, not a full top, but still looks great and some good depth.

Oh so they sold you a case with it that's good a guitar like that should be kept well preserved in a case.
This one came with case. But it hasn’t been back in it since I got it. She became a living room queen.

Greetings! Always wanted a slime, and you have two? Care to update us on how they compare? I'm a fan of the washburn shape persnally, but don't mind saving money if the Dean is reliable.
Hopefully I will get a comparison video soon. I’m looking to borrow DS 333 to show in the mix, as this Dean is an import. My D3’s is in its own league, and not a fair comparison. Plus at their current used market price, I can this Dean is a better value for a players guitar.

Yeah it depends where you buy them. My Dean From Hell I got from Gear4Music didn’t come with a case but the Stealth MLS do

Have you played a USA Dean before mate?
Can you compare it to your USA Washburn? Yes i know it’s two completely different things, but a lot of the same specs are used on the current Dean slimes and the USA Washburn Slimes including the bloke that painted them.
I just purchased a Dean Slime 🇺🇸 and im surprised by the quality of your China model! Looks ok for a “cheaper” model.
I have played USA deans. This dean is away different than my D3, neck shape, feel. I really like the feel of the dean neck.

If you are looking for an ML or Dime guitar, these are a great choice. Plays well and looks rad.

This one did. I think you need to purchase separately if buying new.
So are they worth the $800 smackers ?
I got this one used for a little over half that. But if you’re in the market for a new guitar, I would say it is a fair price. But still try getting a deal of you can. It is well built and plays great.

I ordered one of these off Zzounds and the color was a really dark green on the edges and very yellow in the middle! Not just that the hesdstock arrived chipped and there were small cracks behind the neck where it meets the headstock. Really pissed off. Might just buy off reverb so I can see a pic of the actual guitar. What do you think??
That’s rough. Sorry to hear that. Seeing pics of the actual guitar is always a good call. Reverb/eBay is always a gamble but good deals are there to be made. Just make sure you check the photos and description along with the sellers reviews.
I really like it a lot too bad the back isn't.in Dime Slime also. But anyway it's still badass.thats one of the coolest ones in my opinion.
I prefer the mahogany back and side, More like a real dime 3. I always disliked the green back on the 333's.

Yes. I got this one used for a solid deal. So I have no complaints.
Teen I love you but for all the fans and me WASHBURN made some of his guitars and DEAN MADE some can't you both make them a real slim was a washburn 333 or the 332 not a dean
I get where you’re coming from. Unfortunately Washburn doesn’t make a Dimeslime anymore, and there is still enough of a demand for this shape and finish. We’re lucky dean wants to keep the slime alive.
If washburn was so much better how come dime left them at the first incling that dean was coming back into business u would never of gotten any washburn dime guitars without dean because let state the facts washburn made a dean copy clear and simple. Dean was out of business and dime wasnt gonna play any other shape. Go out and buy a real usa Washburn and USA dean dimebag and then buy one of the new 2014 and newer south Korean dimebag dean stealths Razorbacks etc. And when they're all setup the same ull be pissed that u over paid and wasted a million dollars on a true dime Washburn when the south Korean and usa custom shop dean dimebag guitars play just as good if not way better in most cases becuz all the washburns are much older and depending how they were treated all these years.
Dean never offered Dime a signature model when he was the only endorsee they had on the roster. It was like Washburn made him the super ML. At least for the US models, Top of the line everything and specked out how he wanted them. Like anything I’m sure it was a money move for him to go back to Dean.
China IS the worst guitars in the World. I've tryed some and HELL no because the procedure IS way top high (not in line, shit Wood covered in paint) 😠
Gotta disagree with you. Every country has and will make bad guitars. This thing is killer and holds up against its competition well.
