Lol well I think after the reaction of those boys that the sausage was infact great. Watching them brings back memories of my childhood that I miss so much. God Bless!!
Hello, I think this is the first time I've ever commented on one of your videos. I absolutely love your channel. I live in Germany but own a homestead in Overton County, so your videos make me feel like I'm home again 😍 I just wanted to tell you that Jalapeños get sweet when they turn red, but if you smoke them you get a Chipotle pepper.
I watched this twice. Reminded me of when I was a kid and did things like this w/ my dad. One things for sure, those kids will never go hungry! Thanks for the videos! And, congrats on hitting 26K subscribers!!
Sausage looks good. Makes me miss the homemade sausage I used to make. First video I got to watch in awhile. boys have grown a lot it in the past few months.
Every time I watch one of your videos..that include all of your sons..what a beautiful family...and I noticed in this video..your little sidekick talked more..darling!!!...
I bet that jalapeno sausage tasted awesome ! I knew there was going to be a sausage making video in my future lol . I know you're going to be making up a lot more when you start butchering up your hogs . Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day !

If you had the canning jars, you could fry the sausage and put it in the jars. Then you pour some of the grease over it and seal up. You can store it in a cool dark place and keep it for up to two years.
Mhhhh looks good. I love your positive communication with your kids. Your plunger shows up and just took over lol, cool cool. i really like the fact that you are teaching your sons how to provide food for the table and more important where food comes from and what it takes to get it. i see 1 or 2 video references to your daughter but i notice that neither she or your wife appear in videos. i am well aware that our little place here in South Carolina would not be successful without the skills my wife has. if they don't appear in your videos for privacy reasons i understand that. but it might encourage others to see how the females provide for the homestead's success. thank you for educational and entertaining videos. keep it up
Thanks so much! My girls just don’t want to be in videos much…… although they have appeared in them occasionally! We’re having fun making videos and meeting great people like yourself!
Boys….You make that look so good!!! Could you share what your grinder is? Some of the specs on it? Might like to consider buying one. A video highlighting your grinder would be nice. Do you see on in the making soon? Thanks 😋 😊
Thanks so much for such a speedy reply. Not too long ago we bought a grinder very similar, if not identical, to yours…and the one you link to in your description. There seems to be several brand names being put on that same machine. We’ve watched several YT videos demonstrating the grinders. As with yours everyone seems to like them. On our first use grinding maybe 25 or 30 lb of beef (first and second pass) the electric motor got too hot to hold your hand on it. We were able to return it for a refund. Maybe we just happened to get a dud the first time trying. Have you had any such experiences? Or know of others? Thanks again for your help 😊
I have heard someone say that their groundr got very hot. My neighbor has one that is a MEAT brand and they like it a lot I’ll try to get a link for that!
It just occurred to me I have never seen you drink coffee. Do you like coffee or is it too hot right now? Love this video, my grandpa and young uncles would kill a pig and spend all day Saturday turning it into sausage and pork chops. Grandma would Cook them on her wood stove like you do. Whatever else they needed came from their garden, potatoes corn green beans peas tomatoes... I would spend the day just watching, it was fascinating. Mary's garden has been so successful, she is very special 🥰
Like to watch your sausage videos i smoke alot of pork never made sausage but thinking of investing in some equipment Mahalo my friend for sharing all this with us 👍🌺🤙🌺also need to find a good helper like Caleb 👌
Do you lube the grinder before you turn it on? If not I would highly suggest it. Also run a piece of fat through first, it will help keep things lubed for when you aren't pushing meat through. Metal on metal isn't good. Have you seen scaring on the grinder plate? That metal went into your food :S
I do a poor job of communicating sometimes…… and so much is assumed to be common knowledge that really should be mentioned! Thanks for putting it out there!

You’re such a good dad! Love the way you work with and teach your boys. They’re growing into fine men. Good job Micah.
They’re growing into men much too fast! I’m glad I don’t have to be away from them much because I’d miss out on the most important years!!
