    Master piece of design compared to the disaster that is the PoS5…
    No reason you shouldn’t be able to swap out the SSD. Not sure why MS would prevent such things.

I know it's tedius and a pain in the backside but the security key changes with every update so if your ssd dies in the future you'll need a copy of the latest update as a backup

    caps rarely fail in psu's its usually a mosfet or a mixture of both including mosfet controller or even a timing mosfet that causes issues with the gate. would need an oscilloscope to get anything close to knowing what it is and a rabbit hole of luck and knowledge Just throwing that out there.

      If you dont clone the SSD before it dies, then the Series X it becomes a paper weight. So make a clone of its SSD while its working to have a back-up of that 1GB partition that contains the key that "marries" to the motherboard.

    • @Mr.Eldric

    Thank you very much for the video, I have a similar problem, my xbox series X console turns on for 8 seconds and turns on when there is no image on the TV and it does not enter the safe mode, removing the SSD, I checked it on the PC, all stripped, you can see the disk as if working, but the console without an SSD disk is no longer turned off, you can check to completely erase your original SSD and rewrite its information if it will work 🙏

    • @TheCod3r
      @TheCod3r  2 роки тому

      Definitely don't erase the SSD on a computer. You need to clone the SSD onto another working drive because the drive contains a unique encryption key which is paired to the console. Wiping the drive will also wipe the key and you will never be able to fix the console at all
