Wouldn’t the parents already know this since they live with the child? Also what does a rocket company have to do with a law like this? Do they work with schools?
The “rocket company” like any other company consists of people. Adult people in many cases are parents of children, or may have children in future. Most of them think that parents, not the state (let alone school), must retain authority their children. Elon Musk himself has 12 children, some of whom do and will go to school.

Which is why we have two generation of adults that can plan for emergencies, can’t fix a flat tire, can’t save for retirement, can’t protect their families, and have a generation of Karen’s and what ever male Karen’s are called. WRT to SpaceX, the rocket company owner is making a statement against the governor of Calif. he’s sick and tired of Calif passing anti business, anti family, anti taxpayers laws and regulations. Moving SpaceX will remove all the money Calif would earn from property, business, sales, income tax of a multi billion $ company and their employees. It’s not big compared to Calif overall but it’s a start.
