UFD + Innersense Gel is one of my go tos for my wash-n-gos! I apply the Innersense Gel once I get out of the shower like any other gel. My hair takes well to the UFD so I don't use a lot; I have the big bottle so I apply 1 or 1.5 pump to each section (6 sections) and use my Felicia Leatherwood brush to distribute it. Every time I use this combo I get tons of compliments and people asking what I used. I literally just re-did my hair today using this ahead of a weeklong business trip which I need my hair to be on point. This is a combo is second to using the Adwoa Beauty Gel which is out of stock EVERYWHERE! I honestly hope they aren't discontinuing that gel cause that is a guaranteed perfect and long-lasting wash-n-go product for me.
Hey love 😘 Sorry for my late reply! I just cannot get down with UFD so i am giving up on it lol. But please don't tell me this about the Adwoa gel. It was such a good gel!
I wouldn't use Innersense Gel and the Adwoa Gel as a combo, at least for me, that's too much hold for my hair. I use one or the other in combination with the UFD.
@@NJEberhart I reached out to Adwoa Beauty a few weeks ago and they assured me they ARE NOT discontinuing the Gel. It's a supply issue that is causing the issue with producing the large jars but they never stopped producing the small jars and had a sale/offer on the minis a few weeks back. If you travel, do check local Sephoras as in some markets they have started restocking.
That tangly feeling happened to me too with this combo! I was told that it’s because i let the hair get cold. These products perform best when warm (like in a shower/bathroom with door closed)
This is facts. I apply UFD in the shower on soaking wet hair, smoothing and raking the product into my strands. Adding water during the process ensure adequate product to water ratio. The bathroom needs to stay warm or the product will lock up as it becomes cold. There is a learning curve but once you figure it out the hydration is unmatched. Your hair wasn’t wet enough! This combo requires you to sit under a dryer to ensure frizz free curls leaving behind a hard cast.
Sometimes the issue is an application issue not product issue. You need to make sure your hair is clean first with a shampoo (no co-washing). And you need to apply UFD in the shower on SOAKING WET hair. Not damp hair outside of the shower. And you would be more smoothing the gel in versus raking it in the shower. You can apply I create hold out of the shower as a topper again starting by smoothing in and then raking. And you MUST sit under a dryer. Air drying partially or drying causes that gooey feeling. You can't apply botanical gels like you apply eco or wetline. And many people have problems not because of the product but lack of understanding on how to apply the gels. And yes you should be emusifying both of these gels very well in your hands before applying to your hair. And yes they will foam. That is normal. And if you use oils on your hair your results may very with botanical gels. Also when you apply UFD out of the shower you are probably applying too much which is why the hair never dries. These 2 products when applied correctly absolutely has a cast and hold.
Yes UFD loves very warm water and warm environments. During the summer I even turn off my AC when I'm doing my hair so the gel won't freeze. Then I turn it back on when I'm under the dryer.
This happened to me when I started using ufd I found the gummy never drying feel is indicative of using to much ufd and not using enough water when applying the product. It is best used in the shower. I've used this combo and get a week from it. Hope this helps.
Ok. Troubleshooting UFD + ICH Time Required to Master this Combo: 3-6months with professional guidance. This set is best done in the shower because you are going to need access to a lot of water and the humidity helps keep the botanical gels from get too cold. (Cold air or water stiffens the aloe for some reason) If your hair is too sticky, it could be you used too much product and not enough water, or you didn't emulsify well enough, or you applied the gel directly to that section. *Apply UFD to entire head first then add ICH. ICH foams up in some hair textures. ICH has a tendency to tangle for whatever reason. You will need to pull your hair gently apart and/or possibly add more water. Raking the hair more than smoothing removes the products. Smoothing keeps the product on the hair. Praying hands methods causes more tangles on tighter curls. Drying will vary based on density, hydration and climate. 1.5 to 2hrs drying time is normal. If you live in a humid climate, your hair needs to be 100% dry. Also, botanical based gels do not have ingredients formulated in them to withstand breaking the cast. The banding method, scrunching, touching and stretching with heat breaks the cast. Basically, you destroyed your own set. Shrinkage equals healthy hair. Average longevity is 5-10 days depending on climate, lifestyle and the hair's hydration level. Hold level is medium to extra strong hold.
That seems like too much work if someone already has products that are easier to apply for them, doesn’t require as much consideration on what you can and can’t do, and give them results they enjoy more.
@@sylmarie That's a fair point. However, mastery of your technique will always win over products because you can apply it to any product. You can have the best products and still not get the results you desire because of your technique. Products do not make the style. Your technique does and using the correct product for the style and finish you desire. It also helps to have some form of product knowledge and understanding on how products are formulated to work. ICH is a high quality concentrated botanical gel that requires a lot of water. It was formulated to perform this way because it is a professional product. Professional products are highly concentrated and usually require a lot of water. This is a benefit to the consumer because you save money over time and the product is conducive to healthy hair long term. Unfortunately, ICH has a rewarding learning curve once mastered. I don't think this product is a waste of time or money. At the end of the day, the consumer needs to decide if they value products more than techniques and then adjust their expectations based on that decision. The consumer cannot fault the product for their lack of technique, it isn't fair to the product.
@@sylmarie you took the words right out of my mouth. Nyishaj123 "3 - 6 months to master" uhmmm noooo. And there are way too many rules. This is why I love gels like Camille Rose Curl Maker, etc. You slap it on and go! Moisturized, defined, shiny curls. And then people have the audacity to complain about natural hair rules?!! You literally wrote a small essay...... Unbelievable! Ohhh and I fault any product creator for making a product that requires such a steep learning curve. Again, unbelievable!
Thanks for the tips. Although im not in the shower my hair is soaking wet and if my hair dries out I have a spray bottle. For this wash n go, Innersense was not the issue, UFD was. Thanks for watching 💕
@@NJEberhart It isn't necessarily about drying out. It is about temperature, water and technique. UFD is a little more forgiving as long as it is not cold in the environment you are styling your hair in. ICH is a little more finicky and it require a lot of water because it helps with distribution of the product without over using it. The reason I can say this with a 100% certainty is because this is a basic set done by those who follow BGC. This combo has been done on thousands of different hair textures across the United States in different climates. The vast majority of them have been able to master this set, but it was with the help of SSC. You are not the only person that has come across those issues. I can understand you do not like UFD because it has glycerin in it and it is more reactive in high humid climates, but UFD isn't responsible for technique issues. You shouldn't let your dislike for a product override your ability to master a technique.
Have you tried to put Jello Shot on top of UFD? Jello Shot is good for taming frizz if enough is used on top of UFD. I live in Tennessee and the humidity is no joke here.
I feel exactly the same about UFD! No hold, no longevity. I thought it was just me cus everyone seems to love it. I use the I create hold with my Mielle pomegranate and honey custard.
Yeah girl, UFD curly magic is not for us 😂. I use to love Mielle custard with style factor edge booster gel so that sounds like a great combo. Thanks for watching 😘
I had the same results with his combo. My hair was super big by end of the first day. I think it attracts to much moisture, especially in the summer then boom curly fro so long wash n go. I may visit it again in fall or winter. Excellent review!!
heyyyyyy Jermaine 💕 So sorry for the late reply! I agree that it attracts a lot of moisture. Let me know how it goes when you try it again! Thanks for watching 😘
@@NJEberhart Heeey!!! Reviewed it again a couple weeks ago with the Alikay lemon leave in and complete difference!! It is a really good hard hold gel. It just has to have a light leave-in under it especially in the humidity.
UFD needs lots and lots of water. I use this combo behind the chair in my salon and it works well just needs some encouragement. I also like the Eden body works hydration serum with ICH. Since that product is mostly glycerin and it doesn’t leave a white film
Innersense is concentrated, you need to add water as you apply. You can tell the difference as you apply the water. It goes on so smoothly. My WNG lasts all week and I don’t refresh, just put in under a scarf or bonnet and shake and fluff out when I get up. It never flakes. Also I sometimes add Miche Beauty’s Lavish Leave In before adding UFD (don’t use a heavy hand though).
Hey Diane 🤗. I think it was UFD that made my hair feel tangled because my hair didn’t feel that way when I used Innersense before lol. I just don’t like UFD no matter how much water I use 😂. Thanks for always showing support!
I apply all my products directly on my hair as soon as I turn off the shower. and I keep a spray bottle next to me. Water has been the biggest game changer in my routine. I never have too much product in my hair anymore, my hair is more hydrated than ever and my products work better.
Hey love ☺️ Although I am not in the shower, my hair is typically soaking wet. And I always have a spray bottle with me. My hair did dry out a bit this time, but in the past my hair has been soaking wet and I still don't like UFD lol. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Shelia! I’ve used UFD in the past and I just don’t like it no matter how much water I use. It has too much glycerin for my liking. Thanks for watching 💕
Girl, you and me both. i feel like you have to do too much to get it to "work". I think I am done trying UFD curly magic lol. Thanks for watching Rachel ☺️
I had to learn from a professional.. 😂 Like I literally learned my application process/technique from my cut it kinky stylist.. So there is most definitely a learning curve..
I thought I was alone by loving the results of Uncle Funky's Curl Magic but not the way it feels when I touch my hair. The gummy feeling has turned me away from that gel. I still have some that I need to use up. BTW, I shingle.😫
Bless you with the shingling! Couldn't be me 😂. yes! it is the way my hair feels after I have used the UFD. I too am giving it up. I have tried too many times to make it work lol. Thanks for watching 💕
Give that combo another try without using a leave-in, on soaking wet, dripping hair(best in the shower), use lnnrsense I Create Hold as your topper. Dry under a hooded dryer. A spray water bottle won’t get your hair wet enough.
I use a little less UFD with added water after application then I Create Hold. Once I got the distribution vs water (several months), my style lasts 7 plus days. I
I like your day 1 results even prior to using the Dyson. Lots of volume! I use the UFD & Innersence combo & it works great for me, once I starting using a lot of water with it. I don’t like crunchy hair. My wng lasts all week. Oh, and btw, I live in south Louisiana & the humidity here is on 1000% everyday. 🥵🥵🥵
Thank you love 😘 It didn't do as bad in the humidity as I thought. Only a little shrinkage. But I don't this combo is for me cuz I need a little crunch to my hair lol.
So proud of you for trying or. Def want to use much less lol. Would recommend using in shower and sectioning and adding ufd and then adding the ICH in sections. All that ufd makes it impossible to dry. I think to get it the way most of us are hoping you will, you’d need to use the iamblackgirlcurls techniques. Those are the teachings that we are suggesting lol. It’s life changing
Thanks Laya for the tips 💕. I just think UFD is not for me. I have tried it so many times and the only time I have liked a wash n go with it is when I used wetline over it lol.
First, the WnG is beautiful! Girl, no, I don't have the patience for any shingling!👎 I barely rake and smooth, but my coils play nice most of the time and do their own individual separation.🤣🤣 With UFD especially and ICH the wetter your hair is the better. I think you would get a much better result applying these two in the shower with access to running water. That may be why you had the tangled feeling while raking. Personally, I'm one of the few that can use UFD as a one-and-done and get a week or more out of my WnG without issue although my preference is to redo every 5days. I think it's about climate as I'm not in a humid area. Wow, your day 5 looks totally different from mine with these products. Not in a bad way, but just can you say volume!👀💜 I'm always amazed at the many differences in type 4 hair! I love it.💜
Hey love 💕. Thanks for the tips. I think I’m done with UFD, I just don’t like it lol. But I def want to try Innersense in the shower. Thanks for watching 😊
I agree with the tangles & then it frizz up. I recently got a trim which didn’t help. so I started the shingling method to avoid tangles & I think it’s better on my ends
Hey Diane 🤗 Oh so you have the tangling issue as well? This was really my first time experiencing that. Bless you with your shingling. I do not have the patience lol.
I was starting to think unle unfunky's wasn't working on my hair. But I had such a good long ride with it in my routine I definitely was in denial. Tonight was a reality check because I took a shower styled my hair and started to try and dry it and it was taking forever I am beyond tired. Watch this video out of no where to kill time and it made me relise my hair need to be toed up with eco styler because yea ufd has been a problem my hair has been feeling like mush with it. I combat it with a strong hold gel but waiting all day to have dry hair is ridiculous.
I really like the way your hair came out. I am a curl girl who doesn’t like crunchy hair and that is because I have fine hair. Crunchy hair makes me look bald. Lol. I am going to try the comb and see how it works. I would definitely like to see the Camille Rose curl maker with the Innersense Gel. Thank you for the review.
Hey Judy 🤗 if you don’t like a crunch then def try this combo out. Hoping I can revisit Innersense with Camille Rose before I go back to my no wash n go. Thanks for watching 😘
Love this combo after a trip to the salon, HATE it at home. I recently had to come to terms with this because if you allow your hair to dry completely, your wash and go lasts soooo long. Buuutttt, Uncle Funkys takes soooo long to dry and I hate sitting under the dryer for longer than a half hour. I use ICH by itself all the time. BOMB results and quick drying. Love it so much
Hey Natasha 💕 girl yes, UFD takes days to dry lol. I may just try innersense by itself but it is soooooo hard to not use a leave in lol. Thanks for watching ☺️
@@NJEberhart NP! Great video! I feel that way about eco styler or those harsher plastic gels. I'll always put on a barrier with any of those, but ICH is not harsh at all on your hair, and there's nothing like a one product wash day! So fast! 😍
Try a leave in and a cream styler with the innersense gel. Gives the moisture with the gel. I use the innersense quiet calm curl control cream. It makes my wash and go last up to 5 days
Thanks for the recommendation!!! I actually love using leave in, cream, and gel combos for my wash n go. Plus I need to try more of Innersense's products. Thanks for watching love 💕
My favorite combo for WNG is to use kinky curly custard as a curl primer, then I create hold. After that I use Jell-O shot as a topper and my hair last all week long. During the summer I find myself having to use a anti humidity topper to keep my hair from frizzing up after 2 days.
It came out great!! I'm like you tho and don't like using gels without some kind of leave in. I do have both of these so I may try it (with a leave in) 😆
Your hair looks great, I also have the same problem when I use these two together, I like to use innersense with the doux mousse better, I don’t know if you have tried those two together. Ufd is always too sticky for my hair.
Thank you ❤️. I’ve been hearing such good things about the doux mousse. I def need to try it once I finish up some other ones I have. Thanks for watching 😊
I don’t know if you’re still looking for combo suggestions, but I use the Innersense I Create Volume with the I Create Hold Gel with much success. I have a different hair type than yours, but struggle with similar challenges of dryness and coarseness. I have grays growing in too that is making my hair more wiry, dry, and coarse. The I Create Volume is like a hair lotion or serum that gives me great slip and moisture. Thanks for these videos! They are very helpful!
I think it turned out great. Agree with some other comments. It works best when you do it in the shower. Kind of annoying if you prefer to apply gels out of the shower.
You could try applying the curl magic in the shower with soaking wet hair. I've never had the wet gooey feel from UFD but you do live in higher humidity environment than I do. .
Lol no matter how wet my hair is, I still have the same thoughts about UFD curly magic. It is just not for me, not matter how hard I try to like it. I only really like it when I use wetline on top 😂
UFD curly magic is my bae. I always apply it in the shower, and apply my topper cream or gel outside of the shower. The Curly magic and NLS okra gel is a fire combo for me. The hold is crazy.
Hey Rachel 💕 Yeah UFD is just not for me. I have tried it so many ways and still don't like it. And I really wanted to like it lol. Thanks for watching.
This is my summer heat gel….. I pair it with their I Create Volume, and a leave in, I got 6 good days and I washed on day 7. But your hair has to be fresh out the shower and a bath towel on wet lol like soaking wet
@@cocovankinks I apply my leave in while in the shower, then I clip my hair into sections and I apply the I Create Volume, then I apply the I Create Hold on top
Hey love 💕 my hair is wet when I apply all my gels. I just don't like filming shower wash n goes but one day I will try it in the shower. Thanks for watching ☺️
Hey Nisha 👋🏾👋🏾 My hair does not like UFD! That wet, gummy feel makes me feel as though my hair is in a ghericurl state. Hate it! Curl Maker does not give me gummy more of a moisturized feel.
Yessss exactly!!! My hair does feel like a jheri curl 😂😂😂. It’s just not for us sis. I hope I can try Innersense with curl maker next month. Thanks for watching 😘
Def the lack of water is why your hair frizzed that way. Almost like your hair swelled from the glycerin looking for water. I use UFD+ICH together weekly and my results last a week but I style in the shower immediately after conditioning with SOAKING wet hair.
Hey Alicia 💕. Thanks for the tips but its def the glycerin and the humidity that made my hair swell up. I am just not a fan of UFD curly magic not matter how many times I try it. Thanks for watching!
Yesssss. That has been my fav combo with UFD. It seems to get rid of the sticky and gumminess of the UFD and give a little crunch as well. I feel you. Thanks for watching beautiful 💕
Was about to comment the same thing! My hair always preferred curl maker over UFD. I think it's because my hair hates aloe vera, but likes coconut. I've tried several leave ins with i create hold and they either didn't mix well or my hair flash dried and was straw-like. I'm going to try using just i create hold by itself and see what happens. But would love to know if curl maker would work because I'm struggling with i create hold and really want to make it work!
Thats my combo too.. 🤗 My cut it kinky stylist used UFD/ICH combo when she would do my wash and go set+shape.. And I was washing my hair within a couple days of my appts because I didn't get the hold I like.. I now go in and get my shape/cuts done on my own day 2 set using the UFD as my in shower leave in and then Wetline as my topper gel.. I shampoo twice every time I wash my hair, so I'm sure to get all the product out.. But I just LOVE the UFD/Wetline combo.. I really tried the whole botanical start to finish thing, not my jam.. Lol..
I love the shine you got from this wash n go, not sure if that's your normal. Which product do you think contributed most to the shine? I have thick mostly 4c/4b hair and recently got success w/wash n gos using the extreme wetline. I usually start getting flaking from the cast around day 3, I don't know if that's normal in wash n gos?...My stylist said to try innersense products so I'm here looking for results in type 4 hair. Haven't tried Uncle funky's daughter before...
Thank you 💕 I would say UFD gave me the shine but also gave me the issues with this wash n go lol. I actually love wetline for my wash n go. Using UFD with wetline is the only time I actually like UFD lol. Thanks for watching ☺️
Hey love 😊. I actually tried them a while ago and like many of the products. I just haven’t reached for them in a while and they are prob expired now 🥴
I must use a leave in at all times or my fine hair will tangle like ooh girl nooo😂can you recommend a gel free cream with a soft hold? My hair doesn’t like hard holds.
Have you tried the texture ID styling Cream? I've seen a few videos of people using it as a one and done with good results. It's definitely a soft hold....to me at least
Y'all got me wanting to try the suggestions lol. I am probably not the best to ask when it comes to creams that are good for a wash n go. I always need gel lol. I hope their suggestions work out for you Marlene 💕
To just wash my hair, it probably takes 15 mins. For my whole wash day it can take 6 or 7 hours depending on the style. I also like to leave my deep conditioner in for at least an hour.
When you said you need to use that Dyson every day to get your money's worth🤣🤣🤣. That's how I felt about the Rev air when I first got it. I wanted to find a reason to use that thing errrday to feel I was getting my money's worth! 😩😂
Hey love 😘 So sorry for the late comment. But yes girl, we gotta get our money's worth!!! and I still want to get the rev air too 😅. Thanks for watching 💕
You may struggle with liking this combo because you are applying the gel incorrectly. UFD requires you to use the gel on soaking wet hair, you did not do that. The best way to apply the gel is in the shower.. dipping your head under the water a few times while applying the gel....afterwards apply I create hold. You will have a long-lasting wash and go without the frizz. My wash and go can last 5-8 days using this technique.
I feel the same way about UFD and that combo. It stays wet like air drying activator gel in humid weather even though I sit under a hooded dryer for forever. It is hard to run it through my hair also. The only thing that helped was adding trepadora papya slip to the combo. I haven’t used UFD in awhile because it takes too long to dry. I might revisit on a weekend where I have all day for it to set.
Hey love 💕 yes, I think that me and UFD curly magic are just not friends. I keep trying to use the gel but I think It just does not work for me. Thanks for watching!
Hey love, so I really don’t like UFD curly magic. My hair looked like this because I had the innersense gel on top lol. It’s it you, it’s the gel lol. Thanks for watching 💕
You don't use enough water. As black women, we were misled to believe that too much water was damaging. But on the contrary, our hair is overly dehydrated and over-saturated by products. Our hair is like nature - it needs to be watered, at least, once per week or more. Check out the sistas that started the 30 day hair detox. You don't have to do that, but they explain everything.

Nope...not a "go" as far as your wash and gos goes. Pun intended. From the tangling feel during raking and day 3 hair. Maybe the lack of leave-in contributed to the tangling.

But again, I learned from a professional proper technique for my wash and go sets to turn out just how I wanted..

Your hair looks beautiful!! Citrus tangles my hair That high glycerin UFD is gummy and this Atlanta heat is not having it.
Thank you Julie 😘. Not sure what was causing the tangles but I don't like it lol. Yeah UFD is a no go for me with this heat!
Hey love 💕. I think I just don’t like UFD no matter how much water I use lol. Thanks for watching Shvonne 🤗
Yes! Anytime I use a mousse or foaming product, it is difficult to take through my hair. It does feel tangled.
This was my first time experiencing this even though I have tried both products before. So weird lol. Thanks for watching 💕
@@NJEberhart Yeah you like the heavier cast. Do what works.
It came out great. Actually Ouidad anti-humidity gel goes great with UFD IMO
Thank you Monica 😊. I’ve been wanting to try Ouidad. Do you like the gel by itself or only with other gels?
Do you use it with leave in? And if so what leave ins do u use with this combo ?
I apply all my products directly on my hair as soon as I turn off the shower. and I keep a spray bottle next to me. Water has been the biggest game changer in my routine. I never have too much product in my hair anymore, my hair is more hydrated than ever and my products work better.
Hey love ☺️ Although I am not in the shower, my hair is typically soaking wet. And I always have a spray bottle with me. My hair did dry out a bit this time, but in the past my hair has been soaking wet and I still don't like UFD lol. Thanks for watching!
When using the UDF you need to make use the product to water ratio is balance.
Thanks Shelia! I’ve used UFD in the past and I just don’t like it no matter how much water I use. It has too much glycerin for my liking. Thanks for watching 💕
I cannot wrap my head around the learning curve for UFD🤣🤣
Thanks for the tips but I’m just done with UFD 😂. Will continue to experiment with I great hole though. Thanks so much for watching 💕
I use a little less UFD with added water after application then I Create Hold. Once I got the distribution vs water (several months), my style lasts 7 plus days. I
Thanks for the suggestion Monica 💕. But I’m just not a fan of UFD’s gel. Tried it so many times and only like it with wetline lol.
Ulta has Innersense on sale online only for 30% off today
Thanks for letting us know ❤️. Almost bought more products but I need to chill lol.
First, the WnG is beautiful! Girl, no, I don't have the patience for any shingling!👎 I barely rake and smooth, but my coils play nice most of the time and do their own individual separation.🤣🤣
With UFD especially and ICH the wetter your hair is the better.
Yes I will try this combo.
The cream styler quiet calm curl control cream is so moisturizing and helps define the culrs. And the gel just amplifies the definition
My favorite combo for WNG is to use kinky curly custard as a curl primer, then I create hold. After that I use Jell-O shot as a topper and my hair last all week long. During the summer I find myself having to use a anti humidity topper to keep my hair from frizzing up after 2 days.
Would you share the name of your anti-humidity topper? Thanks.
@@pattiphillips155 it’s called ouidad advanced climate control. I use the one in the red bottle.
Wow my hair would be rock hard with this combo! I do like kinky curly and I create hold and UFD with jello shot.
Hey love 🤗. Ok, I have never used 3 gels before but anything with jello-shot is always bomb. Thanks for the recommendation 💕
And I might need to try the Ouidad out too 😏
I'm a shingles girl..that day 1 hair gorgeous. Girllllll, you have a beautiful head of hair 😍
Awww thank you so much Michelle ☺️ You must have patience if you shingle lol and I don't have it!
It came out great!! I'm like you tho and don't like using gels without some kind of leave in. I do have both of these so I may try it (with a leave in) 😆
Thank you so much love 💕 yes!!! Not using a leave in just doesn’t feel right to me lol.
Try it with I create volume instead of Curl magic. Great slip and dries faster!
It takes a long time to dry if you’re heavy handed with Uncle Funky’s Daughter Gel.
That’s the truth, I feel like even when I’m not heavy handed it takes longer than other gels try dry. Thanks for watching 💕
As soon as uncle funky’s hits my hair it tangles. My stylist applies it in smaller sections. Add a tertiary topper. You’ll get more longevity
Hey love ☺️ Yeah Uncle Funky's is just not the product for me even when I use it under another styler. Thanks for watching 💕
I start with the I Create Volume then layer the I Create Hold on top.
Thank you love 😘 I am still looking for a good combo cuz this one with UFD is not for me. Thanks for the recommendation Theresa ❤️
I think it turned out great. Agree with some other comments. It works best when you do it in the shower. Kind of annoying if you prefer to apply gels out of the shower.
Thanks Michelle 😘 I heard others say the same but I am just not an in the shower wash n go girl lol. Idk why. Thanks for watching!
Do you like your Dyson? Was it a good investment? Thank you.
UFD will get tangly as my bathroom gets cooler. Works better if I apply in a shower. It’s the only negative..
See it’s too hot to keep my room warm while I do my hair 😂😂😂
This is my summer heat gel….. I pair it with their I Create Volume, and a leave in, I got 6 good days and I washed on day 7. But your hair has to be fresh out the shower and a bath towel on wet lol like soaking wet
Soaking wet hair is key with UFD Curly Magic
in which order do you apply the gel
@@cocovankinks I apply my leave in while in the shower, then I clip my hair into sections and I apply the I Create Volume, then I apply the I Create Hold on top
Hey love 💕 my hair is wet when I apply all my gels. I just don't like filming shower wash n goes but one day I will try it in the shower. Thanks for watching ☺️

Botanical gels aren’t like plastic gels so you don’t need a leave in.
Hey love 😊. I know I hear this all the time, but I am just so use to using a leave in. Thanks for watching.
I've tried so many wash n go combos but none last more than 2 days EXCEPT wetline
Yesssss. That has been my fav combo with UFD. It seems to get rid of the sticky and gumminess of the UFD and give a little crunch as well. I feel you. Thanks for watching beautiful 💕
I share the same sentiments as u. I don’t like Uncle Funky’s Daughters either and I definitely prefer Camille Rose Curl Maker
Ok, so I am not the only one that does not like UFD Curly Magic lol. It is just too sticky and doesn't have hold. Thanks for watching 😘

Can you please try Camille Rose Curl maker and Innersence I Create Hold? Wondering how that would be since there is NO glycerin in the Curl Maker.
Curl Maker: Deionized Water, Pectin, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow) Leaf/Root Extract, Agave Americana (Agave) Leaf Extract, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Extract, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Corn Starch, Xanthan Gum, Chondrus (Seaweed) Crispus Powder, Polysorbate 20, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B-12), Phenoxyethanol (Optiphen ND), Caprylyl Glycol, Phthalate Free Fragrance, And Love!
Hey love 💕 I do plan on doing this combo soon. Just have some other content that I need to get out first. It will be coming soon though!
I love UFD but it doesn't last in my hair if I don't use a stronger gel on top. My fav is wetline lol...ikik not the best ingredients 🫣🤫
Hey Keisha 😊 girl the only time I’ve like my wash n go with UFD is when I used wetline on top so I feel you 😂. Thanks for watching!
This is exactly what happened to me… been using this combo on and off and hated the results. Wetline is a fix for uncle funky
I totally agree sis. Using wetline is the only combo I have liked for UFD lol. Thanks for watching love 💕
Lol..
Used UFD once and it left a sticky/gummy feeling. I don't think my hair likes gels. On to mousse!
Ohh and humidity on wash day is a day I stay in. Lol because the gel has to cure or the stickiness is not good. After day 3, it’s set for days
See I feel like there are just too many rules for this gel 😂😂😂 I just want to style, dry and be done.
@@NJEberhart I completely understand 😊😊
I love the shine you got from this wash n go, not sure if that's your normal. Which product do you think contributed most to the shine? I usually start getting flaking from the cast around day 3, I don't know if that's normal in wash n gos?...My stylist said to try innersense products so I'm here looking for results in type 4 hair. Haven't tried Uncle funky's daughter before...
Thank you 💕 I would say UFD gave me the shine but also gave me the issues with this wash n go lol. I actually love wetline for my wash n go. Using UFD with wetline is the only time I actually like UFD lol. Thanks for watching ☺️
UFD works really well with jello shot since it's such a hard gel. And agreed way too sticky on its own
Hey love 🤗. Thanks for the wash n go comb idea!
Your with this combo looks incredible!
Aww thank you Jamisa 😘

Obia Naturals custard is supposed to be 🔥 🔥
Y'all got me wanting to try the suggestions lol. I am probably not the best to ask when it comes to creams that are good for a wash n go. I always need gel lol. I hope their suggestions work out for you Marlene 💕
Normally, how long does it take for your hair?
Hey love, I appreciate the tips. I just don’t like UFD no matter how many times I try it. Thanks for watching 💕
Thinking about purchasing the UFD.. when you apply it in the shower.. do you apply it section by section?
UFD was great till they changed the formula and added protein as the 4th or 5th ingredients, I cannot use it anymore :(

Sorry but not using enough water is not my issue. The gel no matter how I try it does not work for me.

Nope...not a "go" as far as your wash and gos goes. Pun intended. From the tangling feel during raking and day 3 hair. Maybe the lack of leave-in contributed to the tangling.
Hey love ☺️ yes the tangling was very weird. And I do think it may be the lack of a leave in as well. Thanks for watching 💕

@@NJEberhart give it away to me please… It’s a natural Gel it don’t work like other gels. You don’t need as much, you need more of the hard hold gel, less UFD and no leave In to get a cast.
I had to learn from a professional how to use UFD.. 😂 Like I literally learned my application process/technique from my cut it kinky stylist.. So there is most definitely a learning curve with the product imo.. And any deviation from that technique will result in a trash set, for me.. But again, I learned from a professional proper technique for my wash and go sets to turn out just how I wanted..
