Former Aryan Brotherhood Leader Michael Thompson Tells His Life Story (Full Interview)

  • Michael Thompson came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, where he detailed being a former high-ranking member of the Aryan Brotherhood. However, Michael started off speaking about growing up on a reservation in the Sierras with his father, who was half Native American. After moving off of the reservation at just 12, Michael detailed being on the bull riding circuit and later facing life for an incident that he hopes will soon be exonerated. While in prison, Michael spoke about being recruited by several gangs and joining the Aryan Brotherhood. Michael explained how things were structured, and he also detailed things that he witnessed while in prison, including prison wives. While in Folsom Prison, Michael was locked up with notorious criminal Charles Manson, and he also spoke about a run-in with Joe “Pegleg” Morgan, the first non-Hispanic member of the Mexican Mafia. After some shake-ups within the Aryan Brotherhood, Michael thought about leaving the gang, and Michael then spoke about cooperating with authorities. To hear more, including Michael speaking about getting out of prison in 2020, hit the above clip.

He’s fluent in manipulative convict. I believe very little of what he says. Bench pressing 600 lbs for example. Bill Kazmaier (look him up) was a world champion strongman. His personal best bench press was 633 lbs. I’ve yet to see a picture of Thompson looking anywhere near as big as Kazmaier. However, Thompson undoubtedly did a lot of good when he debriefed. And he obviously has a moral code and a conscience. He’s clearly just having problems leaving the penitentiary braggadocio behind.

You may think so. All I ever did was treat people (most of whom weren't convicted yet) as another human being. Everyone got a fair shake, and I lied to NOBODY. That reputation helped keep me safe. Many inmates referred to me as the "Nuclear White Boy", while a court officer told my son and his Scout friends visiting a court session "We call your father the RIOT DEPUTY. He seems to start one and quell it himself almost every day he works."
You're sleeping? I'm checking the utility corridor for your shanks. Block empty for chow? I never steal the inmates wine "Until its time".
Don't be so fluff in your opinions of correctional officers.
9 years after I moved to another state, I was back in town leaving for a cruise. The Stevedore took our bags and I offered him a tip. He said "Nope, I remember you from 811" (the address of the jail.) Had inmates come up to me in the mall to introduce me to their Grandma/Wife. That's just respect. Give it, Get it. You should know that.

In the very first answer about being exposed to racism in his childhood I understood what he was talking about when he said the natives were racist against him. One of my childhood-adolescent friend's mom lived on a reservation and was a full Mohawk (my friend's dad had primary custody and did not live on the res and was not native). When we would go visit her I (being Caucasian) would be called "White Bread" and various racist names by the native kids and teens on the res. It was the first time I had experienced racism as a target and it felt awful. I can't imagine how people feel going through life dealing with that regularly. Racism is such a horrible part of our world.

One thing that pops in my mind is that his story is a testamant to what some human beings are capable of coping with. And after you've served your time and paid your debt to society you still continue to pay your debt to society with a felony on your record! In the 90s laws were put in place to turn prison into a business and that hasn't changed! Some prisons have quotas to keep their incarceration rate above 90% or they lose funding! @@Nestor420officialpage I`m not sure, but I think it`s the Folsom episode. He was in a protective custody unit for gang drop outs and chomo`s. I wish lock up raw was on youtube. I use to watch that show all night on MSNBC. I don`t believe shit this guy says. He claims it was illegal to speak and practice Native American in the 70`s which is not true, so what else is he lying about. He`s a legend in his own mind.

He is a very hard man to read. It's hard to tell if he is totally relaxed or just about to jump out of his chair and kill Vlad for being such a dickhead.
From what I know of him I think he is a man who is entitled to immense respect.
Despite what they have done I think that most of the high ups in these gangs are entitles to immense respect. They do horrible things, but the achievement is I suspect a much higher acheivement than say an MBA climbing to the top of some corporate ladder. By higherr achievement, I suspect they need to work harder, be smarter and calculate risk to a much finer degree of accuracy and have way better leadership and HR skills than any MBA. They are literally investing their life in their "career".

I think from everything he's said, that LEARNING to read and write in prison was the key point for him to become what he is today and also ONE of the basic foundations for all the other things he did and continues to do in life, as it did for me, I wish he were asked what books or literature he read while in prison that had in IMPACT on him, and his thinking. Good books and practice can lead you basically out of any despair or bad situation, that's been my experience. All that turning and testifying etc etc, had to come after many small changes of perspective and adjustments of thinking.

So we're just gonna believe that he "didn't murder anyone"? Sure.... Apparently, the prosecution said that the kidnapping allegations were made up by thompson so he could get with the guys wife. And the 2nd guy was just at the wrong place at the wrong time, and they killed him anyways. The other dude Thompson was with told the same story, that he was innocent and the other guy (thompson) did it. Classic.
None of us know what really happened but we should take everything these people say with a BIG grain of salt, especially when you're not doing your own research.
