Marius Joubert - Ultimate Career Highlights

Marius Joubert was a great centre. For a couple of years he made the number 13 Springbok jersey his own with centre partner De Wet Barry. They were part of Jake White's 2004 Tri-Nations winning team and for a short period of time, they were on top of the world before Jean de Villiers and Jaque Fourie came along.
He still scored some great tries in his career and here are the best of them.

first time i've noticed how average de wett barry's weak pass was - falls away each time he passed to the right. must have been easy to predict. Make no mistake, this centre duo was amazing at the time and i personally admired Barry when i was a youngster, but is the first time i've been able to observe it (the passing) with this highlights real. Thanks again for the awesome tribute vid.

Almost looks like he spin the ball wrong way around he had like lob pass thats good for 13s to run off him thats why the guys who played with barry had brilliant lines

What a player. Clermont really had to gave him a lot of money to keep him away from a Boks jersey, or maybe selection policy was different back then.

Nothing sinister about it Jaque Fourie just played him out of the team. Same with De Wet got played out of the team by Jean De Villiers. They both also went to Europe at poor times. Could have played more for the boks if they stayed.

Outstanding player. Injuries were unkind to him but at his peak there was no better 13 in world rugby

If de wet was better than he was then de villiers and fourie would not have replaced de wet or marius from 2004 onwards
