GCI Turf Services one of my favorite things to do when I’m mowing at the kids youth camp I volunteer at considering its 55 acres of mowing with lots of trees on a zero turn 61” SCAG Cheeta. Lots of time to think and as someone working at a hospital supporting the doctors and nurses it is VERY hard to unplug but I have to turn it over to God to make it through this.
GCI Turf Services - I also pray that the weeds and the Poa Annua grass I am cursed with, die and go to hell. Yesterday, I just hit the Poa Annua with Image. 🙏🙏
Thanks for this great message Pete. We will get through this and God is in control. I watch your videos often for great lawn care ideas even for my little yard. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and great content. - Greensboro NC
Any time you talk about your faith I can’t help but get a little emotional, because I can hear it in your voice how sincere you are. Much love sent your way Pete!
If you're having a bad day, feeling down or uncertain, go on youtube, and find a GCI Turf video. You will learn some new skills and Pete always has some valuable encouraging words! Even if you don't have a yard! Great video as always, Pete.
Thank you for the prayers Pete, I'm a nurse in houston and the surge is just about to hit us. Its comforting to know that you guys are thinking about us.
You gave your neighbor some beautiful stripes! Love the simple and practical advice for lawn maintenance here. It doesn't have to be complicated and difficult.
Man do you know how to get my attention. Look at those lines! Been watching videos for probably over a year. You are great at what you do and do it for the lord. He will bless you. Thank you for the videos
Pete I am encouraged and really appreciate you always putting in God in some of your vidios the world needs more people like you in it the world has forgotten the real pupose of life and why we are all here
You sir are a blessing to all of us , those stripes are looking amazing , bless you and the family and god bless america stay strong and help each other
Pete Thank You so much for sharing your videos. I stumbled across your channel while looking for ways to make my yard look better. The amazing things are your inspirations of God, family, and the important things in life. Thank so much!
I love your positively and you seem like such a genuinely nice guy. I’m from MA, but used to go to NC quite a bit to visit sisters in college. I swear, people from NC are so much nicer than people from my neck of the woods.
Pete when you took out the tape measure that showed how much pride you take in your work. Your yard looks great. If I lived in your area I would have used your services for my yard.
Hey Pete!!! Nice to see your face. Took my Bride by your place the other day to show her what the Fescue we will be planting in the fall would look like cut shorter than usual. She liked it and so did I. It is truly different to see Fescue like that. I hope and pray that as you look over with the Lords leading all that He has given you that you are staying rested and your mind is always sharp... Take Care my friend, Samuel T. Reidsville NC
Love the information that you share over a lifetime of learning. But most importantly, that you for your faith and sharing those moments with us. It truly hits home with me at times... Thank you....
Had a huge area under my pine tree that was going to be too expensive to mulch. This video inspired me to try pine needles for the first time. Turned out great! Thanks for all the tips! God bless.🙏🏻
Sir, I love your channel! You have encouraged me so much this morning with this video. I love your heart and MY GOODNESS those lines are incredible!! I’m so glad to be along for the ride. Thank you so much!
Thanks Pete! We just took a Japanese Maple from pot to yard today ... I tried to apply some of your tips on prepping around the tree with straight edge shovel - mine didn't turn out as pretty as your but it was my first attempt. Mound up pine needles - then came in here and here is this video ... very timely!
Amen Pete A good word! this is something I do every DAY is prayer. in my yard or away from home this is perilous times. But I stand Proverbs 3:5-6 I trust the Father! Nice stripes yard looking Awesome!
Therapeutic to watch this type of content!!! I've been working from home so I've had a ton of time to get in the yard. Been doing projects that have been delayed for way too long. And it's ironic that you address your Loriope in this video. I have Loriope but it's not variegated like yours. It doesn't look like yours spreads. The type I have is just dark green and it looks like it spreads [I found little shoots coming out in between the plants]. My question is, should I cut the plants down every year? I really didn't know I had to but seeing you do it, raises the question for me. Thank you sir!
@@jeremysears6707 thanks. I have 33K feet and using CarbonX and now just decided to use both humic12 and rgs. I am in TN and the weather is nice for grass right now.
Sooooo I just recently started watching lawn care youtube videos and it seems like your neighbor across the street is also a lawn care guy as im 95% sure ive seen some of his videos.
Love your videos and ideas. Motivating to get at my yard and make some improvements with your techniques. And thank you for the inspiration and thoughts about what’s going on right now. I’m in NY ( on LI), it’s crazy but things are looking better and we are all ok here and it’s going to be ok. So into the yard tomorrow with some headphones, prayer and good lawn ideas for me to put to work. Great videos!
Pete, I was so against the battery powered sprayer. thinking it wasn’t all that good. One of my friends had one. So I gave it a try and now I want one so bad! If anyone hasn’t had the opportunity to try one of them sprayers your missing out there supper amazing! If I don’t win one I am so buying one!
Another great video Pete, I have been watching since you had 3500 subs and I think I have watched every single video at least once. Some of them twice or 3 times. With your wisdom you have improved a lot around my yard. And not only that you have opened up my mind to different things and to think of things differently. Keep up the great work!!
Hey Pete, I know you’re a busy man but I have a quick question. I can’t find it on the ol inter web. Lol the crowns of my TTFT are turning yellow the grass looks green as can be but if I part it with my hand the crowns are yellow. Should I be worried or is this normal. I renovated in the fall and have been using it the bio stim pack. I also put down some carbon x 3 weeks ago,I am also mowing at 4”
Looking good Pete. The neighborhood looks good with a lot of nice houses. You would think seeing your grass would motivate your neighbors to up their game a little. I get it some people just don't care about grass; as my neighbors do good to mow theirs; but man it makes such a big difference to the looks of one's home and property. Keep up the good work brother!
Beautiful lawn Pete! I love those backpack sprayers too 😉😉 thanks for the videos, they've helped me out every day with my job! Integrity Landscaping Ashland, Virginia!
Pete you make it look easy to have a beautiful property! I watch you videos from central Indiana. I think I’m going to transplant some plants this year.
Your yard is stunning!!!! I am a new subscriber! I just got on your email list! Thank you for all this valuable information and showing us how to have a beautiful lawn!
Who in the hell could dislike this video? I so hope I win that backpack sprayer, as I need a good one. The one I have is leaking air. Anyway, I long for the time to be able to come visit and work for you for a couple of days to a week. Your yard looks a lot like mine, except for the pine needles. And I don't have money for mulch, so it's just mostly dirt. Leaves make a good mulch. 😄
Lawn looks fantastic! Nothing better than a fescue lawn in NC. Just wondering what type of plants you have against the house behind the livigorate grass that you planted?
Hey Pete I've been watching you're videos for a few weeks now and I was wondering how the your fescue blend grows in hard georgia clay. I recently bought my first home and have about 10 years worth of neglect to amend and would love to try you're fescue blend out
Hi Pete. I like many people love your videos, all of them. I'm not a big fan of the Leland Cyprus and I live near Atlanta Georgia. Would the cryptomeria be a good choice for me? If so how far apart should I plant them And how tall do they get? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks for the great info Pete. What are your thoughts on river rock in lieu of mulch? What type of weed control fabric do you like under the beds and why? Thanks again and God bless! My wife is a surgeon and all hospital employees are going through a rough time right now. Lots of prayers are needed!🙏
Hi there from NY! Thanks for the prayers. Lawn question: i have sandy soil, shady spot looks like doodoo. What do you recommend to really boost that side of the yard? Overseeding? Any additives for sandy soil?
Great video as always Pete. Love your videos. Wanted to ask a question out to fellow lawn care guys like myself. I have a Hunter rotor sprinkler head I just installed and for some reason it rotates fine to the right, gets to the right stop and keeps moving, then when it gets to the left stop it is stuck and will not rotate back to the left. Brand new sprinkler and a fellow DIYer for sure. Any idea on what mayeb causing that?
I want to encourage you to pray while you are mowing your lawn. Folks in certain areas of the country are really struggling. Get your prayer right...

I hear the Lord most when I’m in the garden. Great tips, good word! Thanks Pete!
Great way to start the day Coffee and a new video from Pete!
The gunshot at 0:20 where Pete doesn't even flinch 🤓
The word lawn domination is very appropriate here
Those fresh pine needles look great! Thank you for the encouragement to be praying for our front liners.
Pete I got a chuckle out of the plant placement portion of the video. Hand placed, eyeballed, moved slightly, re-eyeballed, get the measuring tape...
Erin Packard yeah. I had to throw the tape measure part in there. Lol #anal
When you enjoy the mow it's not a chore it's a privilege

Thanks brother for your prayers and your landscaping advice. I really like your videos.
God bless you and your family Pete. Always enjoy your positive outlook and motivation even during the tough times!
Get my prayer right...best idea I've heard all year. Thanks, Pete; be well and stay safe. Peace.
I’m with you on mowing and worship. It’s my ‘special place’. Some of my friends want me to worship in their yard.
Mike I with you on that, enjoy worship and working in the yard!

I just ordered my Humic-12 and RGS for the season off your website Pete!! Love the videos, our world needs more positive, thank you.
Jeremy Sears are you going to mix them together and spray or are you going to spray them separately?
Eddie Gadsey I rotate between the two each app. I’m treating 30,000, typically treat once a week.

Hey Pete What kind of shrub is that behind the box wood you removed. There very nice.
Great video, Pete. Thank you for the words of encouragement.
Random question: what trees are on your property line other than the cryptomeria?
Nice job Pete!
Awesome video as always! Are your cryptomeria a specific type? I’m looking at them and see a few varieties.. thanks!
Rob Wright they are Cryptomeria Radicans. Been looking for them here in VA. I emailed Pete prior regarding the same.
When’s the best time to start a full yard renovation, fall or spring ?
