Playing bongcloud in a challenge that forbids your king to move afterwards is certanly not a coward move.
If he forced an early resignation without having moved the king, he'd have lost the challenge. It was his cowardice that made him waste the king move too early.
@@NathanMacInnes Nah, I don't think so. He could have safely castled in 4 moves even ignoring his opponent's blunders to avoid an early resignation and actually be safer.
Exposing his king with bongcloud is surely a display of testosterone on his part.

3:24 It's a brilliant move because if the opponent's queen takes the pawn it leads to knight to d4 attacking the queen, and if the opponent takes with the pawn, you can then capture a bishop with your queen and deliver a check. If the opponent doesn't take the knight with his pawn and just moves his queen to any square other than the original one - it's a fork by white knight. And even if the black queen goes back it's followed by a combination of attacks on the king. Ignoring the pawn at all however leads to a fork. Truly, this is a brilliant move.

My best guess for why it's brilliant is it allows pawn takes g pawn, that requires bishop to recapture, move the rook, or lose the rook, any situation has black lose control of the king side.

This challenge is a perfect example why I always say that the "and you must win the game" should be implied in all challenges that do not specifically require you to lose or draw in a certain way.
Because if "you must win" is not implied, then this challenge could have been the most easiest one.
1. e4 Nf6 2. Ke2 resign -> game ended, but challenge completed if the win condition is not implicitly assumed.

Using your one king move on a bongcloud then subsequently finishing the challenge in your favor with a checkmate is pure testosterone enough that you are forgiven one cowardly move you have done in the past and certainly signifies you as not a coward this one time. Now you have at least 60 cowardly moves to make up for, so let's keep this streak going on your subsequent challenges and videos.
This is that one episode in the anime where the main character makes everyone fall in love but proceeds to never do something with such testosterone ever again, leaving the fandom to chase that high ever since.

I think its because unless the queen takes, it threatens to remove the pawn on g7 which would open up Qh5+, which puts the king on the run with white having many pieces in place to deliver more checks
