I am in awe of your persistence with the vest! Whenever I make a mistake I have a really hard time recovering my drive for the project so that was amazing to me. I can’t wait to see your colourwork sweater take shape, all mohair seems like a daunting knit!
I think you should be so proud of yourself for working hard on the honey vest! And I hope you treat yourself to a few cast ons!🤭 thank you for another wonderful video
Rebecca, huge congrats for finally finishing the vest! It looks gorgeous on you and watching your perseverance with the various challenges was truly inspiring!
I have to say that you have a lot of perseverance to have finished that vest!!! 😁 I’m not sure I would’ve made it through. I might’ve just rolled that yarn back up and started a new project! But it is super cute on you and you definitely should keep it and enjoy it since you worked so dang hard on it.😂
Thank you!! It’s definitely one of my most challenging knits and now a statement piece for me ☺️ and now onto this colourwork sweater which hopefully won’t be too much of a struggle haha
What a beautiful knit! The colour combination is 🤩 Thank you for speaking about unspun yarn. I couldn't decide between manchelopis and Plötulopi and your opinion has been very helpful 💜
Marking my repeats with stitch markers has been a game changer for me. Even if I have the pattern memorized, I still make mistakes and need to frog back every once in a while.
I also made the mistake of using two different dye lots with a black yarn. Unfortunately, it was soooo obvious to see in the finished garment. I wouldn’t recommend it 😬❤
It’s mainly whatever needle I have on hand and I find my gauge doesn’t change too much when I do it! I was using wood needles to knit the main piece but the end of the needle is metal so it might have looked like that in some photos 😅😂 and then I bound off with the metal needle because I couldn’t find my DPNs

I’m Japanese! The yarn you got from Oomomo is called “Hitsuji chan Natural”, it’s 100% Uruguay wool and I think it’s sport weight. Hope it helps!:)
Ah thank you so much!!! 💗💗 I’ve updated the description box with this info

Thank you - was very close to frogging several times! Two strands of mohair is going to be a lot…haha but after this vest, I think I’m ready 😅😂
For your mini skirt yarn, you could alternate skeins every other row. That might blend it enough.

Ah glad it was helpful! They’re quite different from each other in my opinion and I feel like it’s kind of hard to tell online
I'm sorry to hear things are stressful at work

@@hipknithooray Awesome. Now I have to remember to use lifelines. There are so many good tricks to help you become a skilled knitter. 🧶😊
Your honey vest is lovely ❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Kaci! 💕💕
I’m in my “grey WIPs era” as well 😅
I don’t knit how it happened, but most of them are grey
❤️🌈

Ugh that’s so frustrating! But I needed to hear that haha 😂 maybe I’ll try helical knitting with it
Your photos for the bolero shown you using a metal needle and wood needle for this project. Why?
