I'm happy I saw your video today. I never heard about Sigtuna before. I wonder if Sweden puts on fresh red paint on those runestones? It's impressive that the color is still visible. I really enjoy history about Sweden. Another great video you have presented. Thanks from North Carolina, U.S.A.
Thank you so much! And I'm sorry to say, but the paint is indeed painted on in modern times. They're basing the choice of paint on traces of old paint though, to make it authentic.
We love your videos! We have decided to stay there for a month next summer because of this one. We always appreciate your great information and sense of humor!
Oh wow, that's so nice to hear! Thank you, and I really hope that you're going to enjoy Sweden :D Let's hope for good weather next year! It's always a gamble, if you get 28 degrees and sun...or 16 degrees and rain...
Looks so relaxing and also much history! I just moved to Vallsta outside of Bollnas. I am an American but Sweden is my home now. I have enjoyed learning of Sweden and its towns and history so Sigtuna is on my list to visit! After seeing the Gs 13 Runestone in Gavle 2 weekends ago I know I have to see the ones in Sigtuna!
Hope you enjoy it up there in Vallsta! I'm actually planning on checking out Gävle a bit more soon as well - mostly just passed by it so far. Sigtuna is really amazing to see, and if you go there by car make sure to check out Vallentuna as well. You can google "Runriket" to see a list of many more runestones in that area :)
@@ThreeStarVagabond Thanks! I will have to check out Vallentuna also when I get down to Stockholm area. Next runestone on my list to check out is Hs6 in Jarvso when I get the chance to do so! Really enjoy your videos as they help me learn about Sweden in a concise way. If you ever make it up to this area let me know maybe we can meet up for fika!
@@sverigeismyhjarta7830 Nice! I like the area around Järvsö (and I like the weird little zoo they have as well at JärvZoo). And thank you so much! :) Well, if you have nothing planned for July 10 or 11, that's when I was thinking of a short trip up there. A fika would be fun!
@@ThreeStarVagabond I have not been to Jarvso yet, so yes I was planning on a trip to see things up there. Jarvso is very close to Vallsta so I think July 10 or 11th would be doable. Hmm add me on facebook Felicia Oni Steemer and we can plan to say hello!
Great town to visit to see an old place, you can spend a good few hours there. Be sure to walk around and see the ruins and lake/surrounds. Really liked it.
Aw, I would love to visit!!!! Sigh..it’ll be awhile before I can! At least I can see how beautiful this is through your videos!! Thank you! :) Keep the videos coming!!! The candy store is so cute and pretty! I love the narrative too, interesting information to go with the beautiful footage!
Thank you so much! :D I loved the place, and I really like reading up on the history of different places before I visit. The candy store really was one of the highlights, lol! :)
Sigtuna is beautiful little town remote to north of Stockholm also close to airport right?❤ I feel pity for those who claim that Sweden dont have any history & nothing to see here
All of the UK is part Viking! Vikings spread their DNA quite well over there... But I would imagine that there's a fair share of inbred townspeople around there, who could trace their lineage back quite a bit.

Fantastic lesson about this great historic town!... I wonder how many people can trace their DNA back to that town?. Somehow could i be part Viking?
