Congratulations! I remember this same flight a couple of years ago. The nervous excitement, married to the sense of absolute freedom is second to none! I’m so happy for you, and I pray that you enjoy your aviation journey. I know it’s cliché, but getting your private pilot license is truly, a license to learn. Fly like crazy, and have great experiences. Congratulations once again!
Russ Can Fly - thanks so much! I’ve followed your channel since before I started lessons, and it’s helped me with my aviation journey. Good luck on your progress towards your instrument rating!
Congrats Pilot!! Thank you for the ride along. I loved seeing all your waypoints along the way having spent summers there with family. Great leaf peep too! FYI it’s going to take some time for that first flight perma grin to go away. Wear it well my friend!
Thanks so much! I was happy to get it while there were still autumn colors. That 9N3 approach is really spectacular this time of year. When I was editing this video, it was fun to see that perma grin keep breaking through my focused pilot face.
Congratulations! I bet that feeling is one that you can’t get anywhere else! I’ve just passed my private checkride back in august and I’m currently being transitioned from a Cherokee warrior II into a DA40. Keep up the great work! Love your content.
Congratulations! Really cool to see your first solo flight. Great to follow you along on your scenery tutorials, sim flights, and now real life flight! Planning on going for my PPL soon as well.
Thanks! I'm not entirely sure I want to go the instrument route, although I think it would be fun to pick up an endorsement for a complex aircraft, which is what I may do next. The school has a Piper Arrow that'd I'd love to get some training timing in.
Came here following your unboxing video of the Lightspeed Delta Zulu's from 2022 (which I just purchased FYI). Glad you're still wearing them! Student pilot myself now. You said you were just under 40 hours then. Did you take a break from flying since you just got your PPL?
Thanks! Yes - I had a minor medical issue and needed to pause. I had a new CFI when I returned and between regaining my proficiency and checking all the boxes it took a while. It was a good learning for just how much proficiency you lose if you don’t fly for a while. How far along are you?
About two years ago. I’d been simming for a couple years and thought it would be awesome to try it for real. Once I did my discovery flight, I was hooked.

As if your virtual flights didn’t make me jealous enough. Congrats. Must feel amazing. A lot of hard work on your part.
Thanks! Appreciate all your support on the channel.
This is an amazing video. You can hear the emotion in your voice from the overwhelming feeling of achievment. Congratulations sir! Enjoy the skies.
Thanks! Appreciate it.
Congratulations!🎉 Thanks for taking us along. Beautiful flight.😊
Thanks!

Thanks! Congrats to you as well. DA40 looks like a very cool plane to fly.
@@SDFalchetti I’m enjoying it so far. Feels like flying a glider that has an engine. The wings are huge.

Thanks! Good luck with the PPL. That's awesome! I'll be curious to hear your perspective on what's the same/different versus the sim.
Congratulations! After your first solo it’s hard to think anything can top it…until you pass your first checkride!
It was definitely that “I can’t believe that just happened” feeling I had after first solo.
Awesome! Congratulations. Thanks for sharing. How you handle your sim flying carries over to your actual flying. I love your content - keep sharing.
Thanks!
congratulations my guy thats awesome to see, may your journeys be very safe

Congrats on doing it! Go right for the Instrument rating now!

when did you decide for going for a PPL.
