@ thanks for replying back. So I built a project a while back. I want to build a new ramp area with some hangers and a catch you leading up to runway 36. I already created the ramp areas in the taxiway. It’s been quite a while so I have to kind of refresh and relearn on what I did. For one thing when using the top, my view loads in 90° sideways. I tried building a polygon, and I did not see my reference points on the ground. Then placing some hangars, they were just all over the place. Very very frustrating.

I’ll dive into it some more this weekend. I’ll make a video to show some of the struggles I’m having…

@@FLT247 I usually turn off the Developer camera and use the drone camera, which I have mapped to an Xbox controller. It's much easier to navigate in drone mode, I find.

Thanks! Agree - I've been with SI since the beginning of the year and it's amazing how many features they've added and how much progress they've made. I'm tempted to fly some tubeliners just to play around with some of their extra features you don't get to see in my GA flights, such as AI cabin and ground crews.

Thanks! I use TrackIR for head tracking and have a Dell 27" QHD monitor that I've been wanting to upgrade to an OLED gaming monitor. Sometimes I fly in VR on the Meta Quest 3, although for channel content 2D head tracked video looks much better.

I was able to get the color to assigned to the shape- I missed that on your video- I dont know why...but I needed to change the IOR (??) value to "1.0" to see the color- at least it is working🙂 but I dont know what about this AOR value... Thanks again! BTW- my first building:-)

Congrats on the first building! IOR is index of refraction. It affects how light bends through transparent materials.

The ATIS voice was MSFS, but the ATC was SayIntentions.AI. SayIntentions does a great job with VFR requests, but it's in beta and sometimes the AI misses. Considering you're cold calling it, like in real life, and it needs to determine what you want from context, it does pretty well overall. They have a free 24 hour trial if you want to try it for yourself.

That one would have earned a shrug with "a bit flat". Definitely less cushion in ground effect in MSFS2024, although when you do get in it, it feels more realistic than 2020.

For my viewers, it's Settings->General->Flight Interface->Cockpit Interaction System->Legacy.

I set up key bindings for the external fixed cameras and a binding to cycle them.

Thanks! Nothing special for me - just the default NVIDIA control panel settings with MSFS2024 set to Ultra at 2k. I do some color correction in post when editing in Davinci Resolve, which does make the final colors look better than in game.

My other favorite is after a bounce: "Well, we can log that as two landings."

In Showcase camera, you can set the focus mode. It seems bugged currently in MSFS2024 in that you need to set it to Manual, and only then does it auto focus.

Thanks! VOR 2, which was tuned to PTW, was a TO flag the entire trip because the whole time we were flying to PTW. VOR 1 (ARD), however, did briefly flip when we overflew it. If we hadn't turned and kept flying north, VOR 1 would have been on FROM since we'd have been flying the 002 radial from ARD at that point. Great question!

Somehow I don't think all UA-camrs fly the C172 in MSFS2024.

@SDFalchetti well in most of the video I see about MSFS2024 there is that yellow C172 or the XCUB. Funny, when you think that there are even too many (even new) aircrafts. Nkbody fky tge classic version, all with the G1000 C172.

Steam version is only available in the Premium edition or higher, and unfortunately it was bugged at launch and unplayable. The patch this week fixed it, so I was looking forward to flying it. There's only a few liveries available now, and the yellow one is probably the only traditional looking one, which is why most people probably are picking it. I've played around with some of the newer aircraft like the Cessna Corvallis, but it's all glass panel stuff.

Thanks! Everything is just set to default in the control panel and the game is set to Ultra. I do some color grading in post in Davinci Resolve as I edit, which does make everything look more natural and bit sharper. It's amazing what a little color balancing will do.

That's great! Many of the voices are other players, so that was probably a real life KLNS pilot. It's one of the features I really like about SayIntentions.
