Such a great song. The chord progressions that start at 2:02 are some of the most early 2000's sounds of all time, they seriously take me back. This was an amazing era for dance music.

It still is for many, I collect my favourite albums in physical form. A lot of people like having a physical item and not just some file on the internet. Also there are special editions with interviews, artwork, interesting information and so on.

@NewIdentity I'm pretty sure the source (master) is a film. Film can reach to really high resolution depending on the film used and how sharp the camera is (that's why some 80s music video like Last Christmas looks so crisp).

i remember perfectly when i watched this video for the first time, in 2006 i went to a barbershop with my dad and little brother and while the barber was cutting my dad's hair, my brother and i were sitting around watching tv, someone changed the channel to mtv and this video was just starting.
Confessions on a dance floor is Madonna’s best album
I was 12 and this was the first Madonna video I discovered, I remember passing the channels one day and pausing on VH1 because it just hooked me. The thing is, at the end of the video when I saw the name Madonna on it, it sounded so iconic and legendary, that I thought it was a vintage piece. It wasn't until later that found that it was her most recent material, and I deeped down on everything else related to her, shaping the person I am today.
That's rather disconcerting given how hard she's fallen.

I was around 12 when I saw my first Madonna video too! The video was “Like a Virgin” and I saw it on a brand new TV channel called “MTV”. They played nothing but music videos, and music-related programs. Later, in the early 90s, they added some very cool, art-based stuff like a show called Liquid Television? That was a long time ago though, and now MTV should probably just go ahead and drop that “M” because whatever they’re airing on that station has zilch to do with music or art. In fact that channel is one of the greatest tragedies of the millennium. Of course, I think the millennium itself is a tragedy so.. 🤷🏻♀️

I mean if you think about it they played music videos up till the early 2010s, after the early 2010s music videos began to be less creative and worth showing especially with the popularity of UA-cam ppl just found videos on this app so MTV dropped the videos they have a separate channel for Music videos only called MTV classics but MTV still promotes new artist and still premieres videos every now and then

I can’t understand why this didn’t do as well as the other singles released on CONFESSIONS. It’s a beautiful record about family. Out of the singles released this is my favourite. If I had chosen the 4 singles to release from the album I would have chosen I LOVE NEW YORK, FORBIDDEN LOVE, JUMP, and HOW HIGH.

The only one I do have is James Bond "Die Another Day" featurette. I wouldn't mind a release of all her music videos on several discs (and sets if different license agreements). Cable TV still has music videos channels ... so there may be that non music video copy agreements still in place.

There’s something about Madonna’s best collaborators- I’m thinking of Stuart Price (Confessions), William Orbit (Ray of Light) and Pat Leonard (Like A Prayer) in particular- that enables them to get a new and vibrant sound from Madonna yet make it sound like it’s her natural territory. I personally rate those three albums as her best in terms of overall production, writing and performance.
