Norm Duke has a very smooth release, much more gentle than Darren’s, but I love how clean Darren’s release is too. That being said, Kris Prather has the cleanest release of all time IMO.
Hey Tag keep up the good work I just like to say I had my first tournament for my high school team today in sectionals and we did pretty good I got my all-time high today and I was very proud I was consistent but the 39 feet was pretty hard to figure out at the beginning it was 290. Do good and love the videos you make

I watch the leaves of the surrounding lanes as much as the featured person in frame. I noticed plenty of bad first shot leaves on the neighboring lanes.
Yeah from what I saw he was probably testing that ball out to see if it was a good fit for the next game. sense he already had a high score 1-2 pins wouldn’t make that big of a difference
Possible dumb question warning -- As soon as you move left as far as you can, it seems like you struggle. Is that a product of the lane conditions? Is that the only strategy available to you? It just seems like it leaves you with a tiny margin for error. Im a noob at watching pro level bowling, so i apologize for my lack of insight - but having watched your videos for a few months now, its merely the impression ive gotten. Congrats on getting that check!! Good luck with the rest of the tourney!!
I feel as if it may be due to the oil from his previous/usual ball pattern possibly being worn out leading to him and others from what I’ve seen having to take a different approach shifting spots/angles which is very limited because of his style of bowling. I may be completely wrong but that’s what I’ve deducted

Nope. By bowling straight, you take the lane out of the equation, so you don't have to worry about any hook mechanics. You CAN hook at spares if you want (and there are definitely some that are better to hook at like buckets etc), but you're adding in a factor that doesn't need to be there if you do, so have to be on top of your game.
@Jered Steilen Sometimes you miss lol, that's the game. Hooking vs not hooking doesn't change missing a spare. It just takes the lane out of play, so you have less of a chance is all. People will play whichever way they feel more comfortable with, and will be better doing either or. Darren prefers straight
Why would you try shooting the 10-pin to convert the 7-10 split if you already bounced the 7 into the 10 pin in a previous shot? Or this editing doesn't follow any order?
