Put an o-ring on the cheek piece rods. Then when you have to remove the bolt, don't collapse the cheek piece but instead pull it out of the stock. Then when you are done put it back, it will fall to where you have set your o-rings and lock it down. No more guessing your settings.
If the tripod doesnt last, another quality budget option is the Innorel RT90c. Or wait it out and get a Colorado tripod company. Love my KRG bravo. I've been considering going nicer but I may just upgrade the bravo.
Thanks, I'll have to check the others out. I'm not opposed to having a few tripods laying around... I only have one right now and have to swap it for camera duty and gun duty. Bravo has been good to me so far, it doesn't flex like some of the other chassis's I've used in the past.
You got a #6 taper with the HB designator. Nice build up. I have a ridgeback on the way an that barreled action is going in my magpul 700 pro chassis. I am not sure what I am going to do yet with my 700 mil spec 5r gen 2. I may use the grayboe but I am leaning towards the krg in sako green.
I feel like the original HMR stock is just as good as the Krg stock internet of built quality and rigidity if not feel more heavy duty. I own the X-ray chassis for the tikka. It’s good looking but just lots of rubber wear
Zack Carlson - Writer nothing wrong with it, but that rifle deserves better glass. Razor HD is a nice option if you like vortex. Personally, I’d go with Kahles or Minox.
Why would you switch it out for Krg bravo? The original hmr stock is same quality and form factor if not a subjectively little better.😅 I have the X-ray and the thumb hole style stock is unique unit but yea I only go with bravo on my Remington cuz original stock is garbage
They may or may not. I’ve got some contacts at BPI where I was able to get this done, so maybe they don’t. But on the other hand it had a normal part number and it came in a retail box that said barreled action so I don’t think it was a special thing just for me.
I did call Bergara a couple weeks ago and they said that they will sell a barrelled action you just have to go through your local distributor. They should be able to order it. Have not tried it yet, but will be soon.
I have the ridgeback. It’s in a magpul pro 700 chassis. I went ridgeback for the heaviest barrel option and that is the ridgeback and it’s a medium palma.
@@ZackCarlson I talked to him yesterday. I ordered the bergara primer 6.5 prc and the same stock. When it gets here its going to him. Thanks for the video
I am going to put Hmr pro barreled action into my AI AT chassis which designed for rem 700. just wonder did you drop your hmr action into Krg chassis without any modifacation?
@@BZimm84 The Bergaras are all built on the Remington 700 footprint so the aftermarket parts for the Remington 700s fit the only thing that doesn't fit are the chambers in regular 700 barrels because the Bergaras have a coned bolt nose, also if you get a different trigger you don't need a bolt release because the Bergaras have the side mounted bolt release on the action.

Yep, that's a good trick. I plan on doing that soon. Thanks for watching.

I just read the stock from the xray works on the bravo as well.

I don't have an HMR stock to compare, I bought this as a barrelled action.
Looks perfect.
Just got this rifle in 6.5 with a 22in barrel except its the hmr stock not the pro series. Still amazing though
Yep, the standard HMR is still amazing. I had the opportunity to go Pro so I took it.
That is a beauty wow!
Not going to lie, love everything except the scope.
What’s wrong with the scope?
Zack Carlson - Writer nothing wrong with it, but that rifle deserves better glass. Razor HD is a nice option if you like vortex. Personally, I’d go with Kahles or Minox.
I’m saving for a ZCO
That’s another excellent choice.
Beautiful man! Is that the diamond triggertech?
What size rings are those?
What size rings are you using?
@@smith69711 I'm on 34mm rings. The tall versions
@@Z33Garage great to know. I have a set of high Seekins I can put to use
Just me or does the cerakote job look a little patchy? Also the atlas bipod has an arca mount also.

Great info, thanks for the update.
I was looking at that same tripod set up but with a different ball head. How did it hold up to shooting?
Looks amazing! When is the next video coming out?
I have a Dave Spaulding class this weekend so I'm hoping to take this gun out again after that.
Love this set up...thoughts on this vs the Bergara Ridgeback
Its the same Premier action so you are likely good to go either way, just a preference on stocks.
I have the ridgeback. It’s in a magpul pro 700 chassis. I went ridgeback for the heaviest barrel option and that is the ridgeback and it’s a medium palma.
Oh that’s tidy!
Why would you put a sling on it? Are you going to hunt with it?
Carrying it
Is that the heavy barrel?
Yeah it’s got a pretty heavy profile.
I doing the same build right now. Just ordered my barreled action from brownells in 6.5 prc. How is the customer service at mod 1 quality and finish.
Pike @ Mod1 is the best guy I've ever met in the firearms industry, no joke.
@@ZackCarlson I talked to him yesterday. I ordered the bergara primer 6.5 prc and the same stock. When it gets here its going to him. Thanks for the video
When ordering the stock which inlet did you pick?
Remington 700
ive been looking for bergara barreled actions and haven't been able to find them, only complete rifles. do you have to contact bergara to get one?
Did you click the link in the video description? Brownells currently has some in stock bit.ly/3aokoDh
@@ZackCarlson haha no, I was scrolling through reddit on my other screen so I must've missed that part. Thanks for the link.
What is the weight of this setup? Thanks
I believe last time I weighed it it was around 17 lbs. I added lead weight to the stock though.
Love this build how does it shoot pl
So far I've taken it out about 4 times and I'm getting about .4 MOA so far... loving it though.
@@ZackCarlson do u perhaps know which way u turn the screw to adjust the trigger pl

It should work fine. Mine dropped in with no modifications what so ever. I also was able to drop in an Elftmann trigger made for a r700 without issue.
@@ZackCarlson cheers bro
@@ZackCarlson which version of the Bravo stock did you get? They don't list one for Bergara. You use the 700 chassis?

What brand ARCA rail?
I got the rail from KRG at the same time I ordered the chassis.
Begara claim their barrel do not need break in
Yeah I didn't really do a break in.. just cleaned it a bit after 10 or so shots.
what tripod and mount is that?
The tripod came with it, it's a standard ARCA Swiss Rail, the KRG Bravo stock I had to add a ARCA rail to the bottom so it'd all work together though.
@@ZackCarlson so what make is the tripod?
Neewer Carbon
Correct. Newer carbon
You should get a arca adapter for your bipod. It's way better option than pic rail.
True, but I move this bipod between multiple rifles so it needs to stay pic. This Bergara is the only rifle I have setup dedicated for arca.
@@ZackCarlson The really right stuff arca adapter works for arca and pic rail.
how does it shoot ????
What trigger guard is that?
