Reminds me of illegal underground sets in Wicker Park lofts on Milwaukee Ave before gentrification and all the 156 Jefferson loft parties I used to spin at in 1993/94ish. I still play this out in my vinyl sets. Chicago stand up!!!
I remember this song when I went to the club or going to rave parties back in the day from djspazyb and Chicago Illinois plus my hometown Peoria Illinois
@nino Brown6550 oh yeaaa! 1471 n Milwaukee was the spot and Diz threw thee best afterhours
Yaassss!! Not to mention red dog, mad bar, and much more
@@esavilastimado4966 indeed Chicago HAD a dope underground house scene. Clubs and bars played great music. It became garbage once the era of bottle service and edm came about lol
@Chicago Slabs and Stuff oh yes inwas there on lake and on diversey lol probably lingering by a tank 🤣👍🏼
Oh my goodness...I used to tear this up in the clubs in Chicago. This was the groove back in the day when House music was HOUSE music and you just danced for hours!!!!
Exactly!!
Chitown.....Maywood represent!
The Riviera...lol
Yes
Dropped this jewel in a recent set for a early 20s crowd.. so damn happy the response was insanity. Still rocks w the best today
Old School House and Old School Jazz go together hand and hand perfectly.
Before Electro Swing shit
I never thought I would hear old ragtime in a house track. I like it.
CHICAGO 1992-93!!!!
KILLIN' IT up in the dance box stands at Cliff Levingston's, The Riviera (The Riv) on Lawrence st up North & The Warehouse on Randolph downtown area!! IYKYK!!💯💫🔥🔥🔥
I am an old school house music NYC head(80's & 90's) and I used kill it on the dance floor every time this tune dropped!.
It's a ChiTown thang‼️💃🏾🕺🏾
Awesome time to be alive!
Chi town house originators !!! We seen the industry blow up and seen the best of the best. House music will never die here. House music all night long.....
Say what?!
Been looking for this forever and it appears that I'm not alone. Big up those who've survived the 90's NYC club scene
One of the best tracks from Dajaé that was heard in the radio back in the mid 90's.
Once again Chicago made this track famous and was rocking to this.
10 years....trying to find this song. I am now complete. Thank you immensely to you uploader. A million trillion thank you!!!
ok dont die on me now.. party still on
LPORT I know that exact feeling when you FINALLY find that song! 10+ years searching
Me too. I heard singing brighter days, and that voice.

Me too was looking for soon long!!! Some don't know nuthin' but dis'.
i remember staying up late at night till about 4AM in n.y. and hearing tracks like this on W.B.L.S. AND HOT'97, STILL BANGING, EVEN TO THIS DAY!
My extended fam just danced like crazy to this at our Labor Day BBQ at a forest preserve today! I haven't seen the 35+ yr old folks move like that in a minute! Good times! Chi-Town!
I was 19 in 1994 and man this was one of my favorites. This song was BIG in the house music clubs and raves in L.A.... we sure were part of something pretty special back then!🎶💃🕺
Coast to coast. Basting this in NJ/NY
Always wished I could take this back to the days of Swing music in the 30's and see the reaction! An AMAZING song!!
chi town: sending them love and healing, the birthplace of house music
When that beat drops!!! Fucking sick!! Memories!
I still spin this record..it is fucking sick!!!!
I swear does something to me every time
HOLY. FUCK. I've been looking for this since it came out. I forgot about it for a few years until I stumbled upon an old Barnacle Bill the Sailor song, heard the hook, and it's been ten years of blind searching.
I grew up in Chicago, and house music was everywhere and it was easy to lose songs like this before the internet.
Thanks again.
Party Girl. One of my all time feel-happy movies. A slice of 1990’s NYC.
bee boo I actually liked the story. Thought it was quirky & sweet.
Loved this movie. Mother a girl I went to grammar school with was in the movie. She was the thrift store worker. May Mrs Rogers RIP.
Hey hey hello
"NATASHAAAAA!!!" 🥰🥰🥰 And that dance they do, oh my god! Genius.
@@mattabie2785 The BEST part of the movie for sure.
I remember when KPWR Los Angeles, XHTZ San Diego, KIKI Honolulu, WIOQ Philadelphia, KKFR, Phoenix, KYLD San Francisco and KBOS Fresno played this track . Brings back memories!
power 106!
I haven’t hear this in years. It reminds of the House scene in NYC at the Sound Factory. House head forever...
Or tripping big time on the dancefloor at The Shelter until six a.m. 😂 We were lucky to have enjoyed the NYC house scene back in 93 🗽
Craig Mac
yes...
I remember Sound Factory with Junior, I was underage but if U dressed very high fashion they let U in. What saved me was that my beard came in early.
This song got the children all worked up, in DC, we called it scuzzing out, rolling in the floor, gyrating to the beat! The Frat House, DJ Michele Miruski, playing! Heaven!
90s LA house girl here. one of the best jams 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
In 1994, we'd dance at house parties to this..ah the olden days as my son would say. I was 24 yrs and single, care free, healthy.

90s are gone but those memories will live in my heart forever
Curtis A Jones....what a man! Still fresh 26 years later. This reminds me of real good times with real good friends, summers of fun and lots of partying!

A timeless classic!

2023 and Beyond!
Still a banger. Ah 90's ditching & house parties in L.A. What I thought was fun and exciting in my teens, I now realize those were some gambling w/my life adventures. In my 40's reflecting on times gone bye.

Los Angeles and Hollywood shot out to you if you went to ditching parties in the 90's
One of the greatest house songs ever undeniable classic 😎😇☀️☀️☀️
This one is so perfectly done....all the underground goodies are as good and sometimes better than the songs. This one and Brighter Days also by Dajae have a particular vibe that will ALWAYS get the crowd dancing when you play them.
Take notes, upcoming DJs. :D

I was born in 1992 in Chicago, so I know I wouldn't cherish this kind of music as a teen growing up in the 90s going to parties/clubs. But I do remember listening to tunes like this at house parties that my parents went to... love 90's music!
Long live 90s dance!
I MISS IT ALL!!!
DJ's still play this song in SF. Makes the crowd go wild...especially the ones that remember the 90's L.A. House scene :)
To think, it has been nearly two decades since I heard this song. I remember listening to this on the radio on a Friday night mix session with my dad. This song still stands the test of time. Any DJ could mix this into a current set and it would make any crowd move, any club jump.
OMG! Brings back memories of Chicago house parties back in the early 90’s!
These underground goodie mixes are brilliant and sound just as good now as they did back in the 90's, my friend plays BRIGHTER DAYS a lot in a big club in Liverpool.
The kids would literally roll around on the floor when this track dropped at the club. It was MAJOR. And then--just when we thought there couldn't be anything added to the game--he dropped "Horny," which, when played, would seriously cause a wig-snatching-all-out-battle-royale on the floor, baby.
yeahhhsssssssssss gawd!
Same here in DC LOL......and I was one of em! This and The Percalator!
I was thinking of D.C. when I wrote it baby ;) DJ Sedrick and DJ Wilma on Sunday nights, boo! XO
YASSSSS! This, Horny, Percolator, doop.. TRACKS DC.. there will never be another place like it (to me).
eiknujcisuma omg Doop Doop! That track did it, too. Wow. I’d forgotten about that one ;)
They should have more music of this..❤....

Que locura de tema, verdaderamente representa el inicio del hard house en la era Rave. Podre olvidarme de comer, de mi nombre y hasta dormir; pero olvidar los increibles momentos bailando esta canción, de esos jamás, ya que están clavados en mi corazón.

Heard this song on one of the mixtapes I bought off eBay, they're all recorded off the radio, ranging from 86-94 on chicago radio stations. It took a random youtube recommendation to find this record, but I'm glad I finally found it!
Medusa's,AKA 123,The Limelight and Club Cleopatra on South Wabash Chicago was the house hotspot in the 90's
“We know not where they are but we know they are there for I am still here” ~ Us 😄❤️🧡💚

Remember first hearing this on a Radio Show called PowerTools in L.A. I was a kid blown away because it combined two things I was digging at the time house music and vintage music.
Powertools was awesome!!
@@six8rydr2001 it really was. Those were the days!
Classic. Never did have this track but was hitting hard when I first started spinning house music. Never knew who was this till now. Man I love UA-cam.
This was an ENTIRE game changer!!! early-mid 90's best house music ever!!!! in the early 90's there where no clubs that would cater to House music, most people in los angeles didn't even know about house music,,,, So restaurants, warehouse, or backyards would be rented to have these house party's,,,, and when this track played the place went while, on fire!!!!
ear plugs

Chicago .....Westside....K-town... stand up..2019
I grew up on kostner and Iowa. My parents still live there.
I really think this song have a major impact and influenced the style of Parov Stelar!
Well of course.
and he waited like two decades so the youth wouldn't realize it.
I'm not sure if I'm right in the above mentioned, but I do know that this song was often played back in German nightclubs at that time.
Yes, you can say that after two decades, Parov Stelar (Marcus Fureder) became more famous overseas and maybe now more young people began to appreciate this kind of music, but he actually has starting to embrace this style earlier in 2004/2005 after experimenting in the mid-late '90s with techno-minimal-house-trance.
OMG! I was looking for this for sooooo dam long! I miss late night 107.5 WGCI old school days!
I remember hearing this song when I was in eleventh grade, and it got me into Chicago house when I went to college buying records (choosing between food and records was fun :) ) I remember hearing it at a proper club in '99, I concur though the memories.
Ah man! This brings back a flood of good memories from my teenage years!
