Queen + Paul Rodgers - Hammer To Fall / I Want It All (Live In Ukraine, 2009)
/ queenofficial
After all those years, nothing has changed in the way Roger and Bri play their instruments. Still even amazing as in the beginning!
It's hard to accept another voice apart from Freddie's, but I could easily accept Paul's voice, cuz it's greattttt XD
Wish Freddie could do I want it all live. Would have been epic!
Roger Taylor, the man!!! Awesome drumming and singing!
Rodgers really makes these songs his, especially I Want It All. One of THE best rock voices.
we must remember it's thanks to paul that we can hear the frankly epic i want it all live at all.
after hearing this, i have to get the dvd
This is by far the best joining of two rock n roll super powers. No one is Freddy, its time to move on. This is refreshing.
Not forgetting the great Jamie Moses on the 12 string and Les Paul!!
Back when Queen still kicked ass
Amazing concert in Kharkiv
Paul does this song justice. gotta give him credit, Freddy is impossible to replace.
So amazing
Fantastic. Wish they stayed touring together. Great performance. Crowd was into it
I think its a great tribute, and i love hearing all the boys belt it out in the background. Of course theres no replacement but for Freddie but his music lives on
100% Paul Rodgers,
with him the band is much more
"rock and roll".
congratulations.
It is a great live and I'm grateful to Queenofficial. Comments from others made me cry. I miss Freddie so much...
Good effort by Paul. He's not there to replace Freddie, he's there to sing with Queen.
I think that the Freddie's voice was unforgetable but Paul is amazing !!! Cant stop hear this version of Queen )!!!!!
Paul Rodgers superb.
Paul is good enough to be in Queen kingdom, although nobody can really replace Freddy voice. Keep rockin' dude
How can anyone dislike Paul Rodgers performance!!!!! He's not trying to copy Freddie....he make's these songs his own!!!!!
Awesome show light! Paul Rodgers is better than ever! I've got nothing to say about Brian and Roger (JUST BRILLIANT!!!!).
But I'm sad. Just when i started really loving them, they broke up. Please, if you can't get Paul Rodgers, Adam Lambert is the one, for me!!!
I like the sound of Roger's Drum...and the sound of Red Special
Paul's scoring a lot of points in the looks dept! woo hooo
Paul rodgers is great singer,Queen for ever
I've listened to the album, very good!, what a great combination of talents. If they wanted a Freddie sound-a-like, they could have gotten George Michael. Very gutsy move and a very good one. Paul Rodgers is a superb vocalist and while sounding nothing like Freddie, brings a nice presence to the music BECAUSE he sounds nothing like Freddie but still the music is hot and rockin'!
i want it all is probably the best performance PR had with the band! brilliant
I Remeber that!! i was there.. it was SO Amazing!!
it gives me the creeeps....i wish i was there!!!
Giving you the creeps wouldn't make you wish you were there.
Those moaning and complaining obviously haven't seen Queen+Paul Rodgers live.
I saw their concert at Wembley last year and it was by far the BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN.
Be thankful Paul Rodgers, Brian and Roger took out the music we all know and love on tour for those of us too young to see Queen back in the day.
In my opinion, Paul is the greatest living rock singer. I am also a great fan of Freddie, who was a monumental composing & singing talent. He also was probably the greatest showman in rock history.
You have to give both singers credit & remember that Paul is doing his own version of these classic songs.
thumbs up to paul. a voice pretty close to freddie's and roger on the drums cannying ( thriveling) dunno head to sides: former roger
Super show, beautiful audience❤💜
I have to say Queen sounds great with Paul. He's an awesome singer. The best singer after Freddie...
phoenixcqcq paul can't sing: somebody to love, killer queen, don't stop me now, who wants to live forever, the hero, his vocal registro not is for those songs, and the of adam yes!! brian may and roger dreamed play those songs another time :)
phoenixcqcq i agree With you
Paul lacks technique, Adam lacks "rock & roll"... as it is, I think they could just do Queen with Brian and Roger singing.
Maybe they shloud try with someone more rooted in Rock, like Roger Daltrey, or in the Metal sphere, Russel Allen (Symphony X/Adrenaline Mob) would probably fit perfectly...
And as strange as it sounds, I think Lady Gaga could make a true permanent Queen singer (although I don't really like her music), she has talent, she has a voice, she's a true musician (pianist with classical and jazz background), and her live showman(girl?)ship is unquestionable.
I love Adam' s voice! It's Powerful and beautiful. Adam Lambert is able to sing ALL of Queen's songs in the original key and still has an amazing stage presence. Besides, Adam is flamboyant and fun like Freddie was on stage.
That's how you do it. You knock it out of the park without breaking a sweat.
Paul Rogers is Great!!!
Conciertaaaazzzzoooo.........!!!! Grande Queen + Paul...excelente cantante
one of the greatest rock and roll vocalists ever, and Queen what could go wrong. I have no idea why this didn't work and i'm sad about that, given they all started out together and played along side each other back in the late sixties and early seventies
Paul Rodgers you gave this band some depth I never thought they actually posessed..I can finally appreciate some of their stuff now..Keep singing till the day you die dude..theres no soul voice like yours..
Roger bass drum is perfectly tuned!
I think Freddie would be proud.
Paul is one of the greats! He can sing the phonebook.
Haha, spot on, people should be grateful that they're still going at all. I'm by no means a Free/Bad Company fan, but he's such a good vocalist.
Though i know it's not the same with out Freddie, nor would i expect it to be the same, I do enjoy Paul Rogers style with these songs.
This is a great performance!!!
bri, rog and paul....wow=)
you are completely right! it's good that there are people who think in this way.
there is no Queen without Freddie!
GREAT Lighting!!!
5:50 damn, Bri
it annoys me people slagging off paul rodgers saying things like "he's murdered that song" etc. They acknowledge that its not Queen anymore, hence its Queen & Paul Rodgers, why they have Danny Miranda as bassist (and he's every bit as talented as Deacon is) and why they have a permanent second guitarist in the form of Jamie Moses (who is everybit as good as May) instead of just Spike Edney. Just like it and love that the Red Special is still putting out the Queen sound now
Paul is amazing, but Freddie is the KING
'Hammer to Fall' was the first song i ever played for a concert but it never lived up to this.
Paul is one the best singers in the world, his works with Free and Bad Company belong to rock history!!!
Bravo ,bellissimo brano
Two words to define Queen: Brian May
I'm only 15, so I'm like you, and I went to see Queen + PR last october, fantastic!!!
Having watched Paul shows and Adam shows on UA-cam I get a country and western feel with Paul. With Adam it feels more like Queen.
I saw Queen and Paul Rodgers. I just loved it. Why ?? Paul Rodgers was a big idol for Freddie Mercury. I don't like Queen and Lambert at all, mostly because of Lambert fans... smile
I hate lamberts voice. This was so much better.
I love Adam' s voice! It's Powerful and beautiful. Adam Lambert is able to sing ALL of Queen's songs in the original key and still has an amazing stage presence. Besides, Adam is flamboyant and fun like Freddie was on stage.
THE LATE GREAT FREDDIE MERCURY...THERE CAN BE ONLY 1
i lost 1 brother BUT is feels like iv lost 2 THANKS freddie....Your music lives on
I miss Paul Rodgers :,(
Sou Fã do Paul Rogers!!
Exelete Vocalista
Q+PR is great ...
The background vocals are amazing.
ive noticed paul isnt singin the high notes as well live later in his queen career as he did earlier...
goes to show how friggin hard they are to sing...
I fully agree with you.
It maybe hard to believe but it just came naturally, I drew inspiration from the performance.
Amazing! Thank you guys fior the music you play!!
As always amazing. But am I the only one thinking that Paul sings him own song with more enthusiasm and power than he sings the Queen songs. I feel no spirit..
Rodgers keeps the music of Queen alive!
agreed. and he sounds especially good in this performance...much better than he sounded for the 2 shows that i saw...
Paul is totally amazing. He has an incredible voice and he does the song total justice.
Still , the best replacement would have been George Michael. Freddies songs fit George like a glove.
Grandissimi!! Non vedo l'ora che esca il dvd!!
Daniele dall'Italia
Majestic
Freddie would be proud.
Give us Paul back! We don't need no Lamberts hangin' around. Thanks.
i prefer Martel to be on the band
@@cumimanis1905 They could call it just Queen with Martel. But they won't, because they're adamant no-one will ever replace Freddy and I get that.
Adam is amazing than everyone you all have preferred
And paul fucking quit
SWEET!!!!!
So TRUE!
Paul Rodgers, Roger Taylor y Brian May son unas leyendas.
GO ON, BRIAN!
They still got it.
The main solo of I Want It All
i like paul he just sings he dosent try to replace freddie but just sing as if freddie cant make it and he is the sub
From Roger Taylor himself:
"Question: The Cosmos Rocks album and the Paul Rodgers tours…how do you look back on that period of the band?"
Roger: "The Cosmos Rocks album was not at all bad and I thoroughly enjoyed the tours we did with Paul he is one of the finest singers alive. I regret that some people expected him to be Freddie, how crass."
NOW who's the fucking dumbass? Or would you rather argue Paul's merits with Queen's drummer, singer and songwriter?
@Pete Ainsworth And Paul just sang them just like he had to do.... in his own style with pure passion while enjoying every second of it. That's what makes the difference between a simple singer and a pure professional. Pure professionals never try to be like somebody else and maybe abuse their voice while trying to sing in a vocal range that isn't theirs,no! They sing the song in their own vocal range the way they can and make the most of it. Paul has a slightly darker and a more bluesy voice than freddies but both are baritones with a really good vocal range! Paul Rodgers was just the right choice as singer in my opinion!
I want it all by queen+paul rodgers>>>>>>I want it all by queen+adam lambert
Change my mind
I miss the action on stage... though the sound is very good, still needs the power of Freddie Mercury
There's no Queen without Freddie, no Beatles without John, no Led without Bonzo, no D. Purple without Ritchie.
Thats right there are only Brian, Roger and Rodger
and you can add AC/DC without Bon Scott.
***** right AC/DC makes no fun without Bon
should all the rest of the groups stop playing then ? At the end the day Freddie can't come back so rather hear this than nothing still terrific
That's right.
Lets not say we dont give a fuck about freddie, because he is queen, and one of the greatest singers of all time, but true, this is in actuality a different band under the name of queen
I completley agree mate but you have to admit, Rodgers is one cool fuckin dude!
i wish i was there
Press 2 for instant guitar solo.
MY GOD!!!!! HOW MUCH PEOPLE IS THERE???? there´s like 120.000 people!!!
I like more than that the tribute version with Gary Cherone.
We miss u Freddie
they asked the guy that got second on american idol if hed be their singer but he didn't want to which makes me sad
Queen Forever
@MelodicRadiation21 that's really cool, iv'e always wanted to build my own but i doubt it would look as nice as brian may's.
@roguehk Very well put Rogue... : )
