Hail to Shawn Ray. His posing ability was truly artistic. It's what showcased his incredible muscularity so well. He represented body building the way it is supposed to be. He had it all, size, shape, definition, symmetry, displayed with grace and power.. Hail to Ray, he was one of the few left of a dying breed of the old school bodybuilders . @@knoz5688 but it wasn't his strength or style he should've put on size in calf's then shoulders (. Delts ) so it looks like he added mass , the only person who puts on mass on us Ronnie and always look better then before
Shawn Ray was the GREATEST as he was BLESSED with the "EXTENSIONAL PERFECT" physique that placed him way above the others. He made his physique COMPLETE and FLAWLESS... It is just so SAD that he was never rewarded the Mr. Olympia Title that he 100% presented. It belonged to him... But as it's always been in life- a person must be a corrupt villain to swing achievements to one's favor... If everything just could've been honest we would've had ORIGINAL CHAMPIONS that would've caused life to be less corrupt. SHAWN RAY, you were the BEST. After you there wasn't any "PERFECT PHYSIQUE" ever and won't be. You've achieved what no one could.
Great bodybuilder but calves were not on the same level as his thighs. Standing beside Yates with gargantuan calves, this weakness was too apparent. Close Shawn but no cigar...

Une symétrie parfaite, une constance incroyable, une belle sèche et un vrai talent de poseur. Ses défauts ? Trop " petit" pour l'époque et pas de point fort qui le faisait ressortir du lot lors des comparaisons. Il n'empêche qu'il reste un exemple de ce que doit être le BB.
Shawn had a beautiful physique, but he lacked that "WOW FACTOR " and put him next to the other top bodybuilders at that time you can see why he came up short.💯

36 that year retired too early. He finished 4th. Almost a zero bubble gut. He came in big which took a slight edge off his definition and striations.

he lacked nothing he was a complet bodybuilder he was just smaller if he was taller he would have won for sure
He was in the top 4 for 8 times in Mr Olympia...and came in second for two times. He was complete but little bit too small.
