Point Sur Lighthouse Tour in Big Sur (4K)

- Taking a tour of the Point Sur Lighthouse is something I have always wanted to do. The old volcanic rock that the lighthouse sits on is one of those places you always see while driving Highway 1. To visit though you must go on a guided tour that only happens on the weekends. It is worth the half day adventure to visit this awesome and historic spot.

Grew up there in the navy base during the late 90s-early 00s. Wasnt active, was all state employees of some kind. My dads main job was maintenance on the lighthouse facilities. Was an awesome place.

Hi ! I own a french UA-cam channel about history. I wanted to take a look at that lighthouse since a famous American airship, the USS Macon, suffered a catastrophic failure in a storm right in front of it in 1935, and actually crashed then sank not too far from there. I was wondering if I could use around 10 seconds of your video, to showcase briefly the lighthouse and the beautiful coastline around it in my upcoming video ?

Drive past it almost everyday. Always wondered what’s up there. It’s especially creepy sometimes because I drive past it at night and sometimes you can see a light or 2 on in one of the houses.....

Do they give you time to just wander around? I wanna fly my drone and get some shots with my steady cam 😩
Unfortunately, they do not let you wander around at all, it is guided the whole time.
