The illusion of my entire friend group faded away this month and they basically showed me that they never liked me and never wanted me around. Solitude truly can be bliss. I'm happier than I've been in years.

Tame Impala is definitely on my list of artists I'll never forget about.
The wedding bells add a really nice touch to this song, they fit perfectly thematically with the possibility of marrying the person he's trying to forget about. The overarching theme of "what could have been" is pretty Central to the album, really stings in a bittersweet way.

That bit between 1:30-2:00 and its second repeat is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. Truly up there with Pink Floyd feels.
YES! I love how the second repeat with those whirling/bouncing synths are hard to hear unless you really pay attention, and when you listen to it with a good set of headphones it becomes so clear in the mix. Radio quality/ bad earphones does NOT do this song justice.
Very few people will understand what it feels like to have this song recommended to you by the very person you should probably forget about

Haha I tripped hard one time and though I was everyone at the same time and I thought I also was Kevin Parker and that I wrote this for me who is also Kevin Parker so it’s like I help myself out by trying to help myself understand but I also hurt myself sometimes when other people hurt me so I need art to help and it’s all me basically lol but you to but you’re me also
I stayed committed to someone for 12 years, who couldn't be bothered to give a damn about me. This song came to me a couple of years ago and it resonated. Now it's a full truth. Now I've added him to a list of people to try and not think about. Now he's a ghost. A banished memory.

This song quickly became one of, if not my favourite Tame Impala Songs. The Vocals, Drums and Synths are all layered together perfectly and each element is like a Journey in itself. That entire section from 3:14 onwards just puts me in a Trance-like State and takes me to another Place. Kevin is a Genius!

This band gives me some very special dark peaceful summery sad and happy vibes, idk why.
Tame Impala has a lot of songs that just make you feel like you're floating in a galaxy. So wide and beautiful. The echoes and the instrumental itself help in that. This one and Feels Like We Only Go Backwards are examples of this - and masterpieces.
Edit: Oh, and 'Cause I'm a Man is a masterpiece too.

Pure artistic genius - he goes to say the word forget at the end of the first verse but gets cut off by the sound of a wedding bell. So when he goes to say forget and gets cut off by an abrupt bleep sound in the second verse, you know that’s what this song is about. He’s trying to forget the person who he thought he was going to marry
This and Powerlines should have been on the album. Would have took the album to another level in my opinion.

And I don't wanna spend all my days thinking of the one I can't live without
I connected with a human in a very enlightening way a few months ago but we eventually had to leave each other because of work and the first few weeks were just physically and spiritually hard for me to get unused to that human; and even though I've been better than before, the feeling just refuses to vanish from within. So I started listening to this to help me get through it, and it is working wonders. I adore Kevin's music so much because of how it makes me feel. I am sitting on my rooftop right now and it is late at night and I can already see inside me how I've grown from that feeling. I am getting back to my own silence and nothingness; it's very freeing.

Kevin Parker always come with the most relateable lyrics and it always hits hard ....... honestly as much as I love his production but it's always the lyrics and how much I relate to them is what keeps me coming back on a daily basis.

Today marks the day I've been listening to List of people for 5 months for every single day since graduation. Life changed but Kevin helped me get through a lot of different variations of emotions. Thank you Kevin.

I have been listening to this everyday, at least every other hour, for the last week or two.
Tame Impala has that magic to create songs that rope you in and tie a tether that just keeps you coming back.

I gotta feeling this song will be helping me cope for a long while, known about this song since it came out, well I grew to like it more given my situation. You talk to someone, it doesn't work, you stay friends and end up best friends for almost a year, everything's there except what makes a relationship, you click so well, are one in the same, you try to move on while remaining such close friends but the inevitable happens, you realize you'll never let go in that kind of way if you keep her close like you do, and it'll only hurt you when you're not around her to take it off your mind in a way. Ended the friendship today, I owe it to myself to do what's best for me, I really did value our friendship, a part of me wanted to keep it just that, but the other part of me wanted more, willing to suffer and wait around hoping that one day she'll change her mind about it. Point is, I did what I definitely did not want to do, but needed to do. Shits hard, you stay on a loop with someone, convincing yourself you can move past it and be best friends, but how can I even be a friend when in reality I want more, the friendship but also the love to to go along with it. Of all my years on this bloody planet, well what I felt for her was much more than all the past lovers, never fell in love with someone before and had that sense of friendship there, hell really close friendship. One of the hardest things for me to move past too, well now will be. It's lingered on my mind for a while too, if I'd be better off without, of how much of a struggle it all really was for me, nearly killed me.

Theres so many faces and people i have to forget for my own health. They haunt me every day, stinging me like wasps. the nibble away at my sanity. And i just keep adding people to that list. I literally tell myself "Now I gotta add you to my list of people to try and forget about" before i got really into this album.
This songs sound really encapsulates the waves of energy, either from the natural flow of time or just my own mind, that I use to try and wipe them clean. But they stick. Like increasingly stinky stains.
