The storage situation is one of the main reasons why I gave up single issues to focus on collected editions. They’re fun to buy for the classic LCS experience, and easy to read if you’re crunched for time. But they build up quickly if you’re a heavy reader and accumulating boxes is just kind of a pain in the ass if you don’t have a closet or shelf dedicated specifically.
Bagged and boarded, organized alphabetically by series, in a row of file cabinets. It honestly looks very organized and classy, not to mention it keeps the books safe.
I bag and sleeve and stuff it in a long box. Some covers I really like I will display. I have like a month or two’s worth to store still. They’re stacked in the paper bags they came in 😂
My sigle issues are stored in piles, stuffed into a bookcase, in cardboard boxes leftover from Amazon purchases, the older ones, from when I cared about it, are stored in long and short comic boxes. If the comic came with a bag and board it still has one, otherwise it doesnt' have one.

I use cereal boxes, you can cut them to fit and can write/draw on them depending on what you put in it
