That plow seems to make the tractor work there a little bit. I notice there was a little wheel slippage there. The tractor was pulling it pretty well, seems like. Thanks for sharing. Have fun.
Hi Joey , I guess that fresh soil smelled good. That old chisel plow did a great job. When I was a young child my neighbor would go and pick a mess of cressy salad. She go to the fields around the house. I haven’t seen that much in years. Thanks for sharing. Have a good week. 😎😎 👍
Looking good. Be waiting for the next trip over the field. Don't take long for the weeds to show up. Have an enjoyable weekend coming up. Don't work too hard.
Thanks for sharing the video Joey. That land is working great. It's definitely getting in the ground good. I have chisel plowed a lot of times and the first pass not get in the ground over 10". Of course that wasn't in plowed land. 140 ain't missing a beat. Yes sir you did the right thing by plowing the whole thing since it had cedars popping up on it. Ought to do good in corn and whatever else you plant on it since it has been rested. Take care.
Looks good to my inexperienced eye. Certainly breaking up and making the soil lose. I wish I had access to such a wonderful field. Thanks Joey for sharing and Sammy for the camera work. Stan here.
Joey , you got me sold on that chisel plow. I’ve been looking for one. I’ve got a big old two bottom plow, but the chisel plow is perfect. You can run a disc on it right after. I was surprised how deep it really goes.
That chisel plow is a game changer for a 140. I think you let a neighbor get the King disk you had a while back and now I understand why. You don't need a heavy disk. The chisel plow can save multiple passes and go deeper compared to a disk. I'm surprised they won't more popular when new. I was blessed to find the one I have.
I've used it twice. Used it at my sister's for a new garden spot covered with grass that was to small to plow and it broke it up nicely. In my garden spot, it just needs a light disking and it's ready to bed after using it.
cressy greens and county ham some of the best eating. wow have not seen a field with that amount of cressy since before farmers started spray grass and weed killer.
Looking good there is something about driving a tractor and turning dirt that city people will never understand I wished i could find a fast hitch for my 140 and some implements but they just ain’t that plentiful around here
I was watching when that shank came up to those big weeds and if you didn't hit it directly even at times hitting it directly those big weeds would not break loose they just wiggled out of the way they must be really deep rooted
Mine doesn't go anywhere near that deep. But of course, I haven't really tested out the adjustments on it yet. But still, I don't think mine would even come close to that depth.

It was slipping a little but thankfully it has water in the back tires and that helps tremendously.
That's some gr8 looking soil right there!😇🙏👍🌽
Thanks Benny

That field across the whole thing probably had 2 sacks full.
Hey Joey and Family! Nothing like the smell of fresh plowed dirt. Can't wait to see the progress. Thanks for sharing. Blessings! 🥰

Thanks Jack
That soil is working up nice
Man I’m so glad you straightened them rows up I could hear that jimmy red saying don’t plant me heat
The chisel plow did a wonderful job. You have some great soil in that field. Should be great for the Jimmy Red.
This will be my first time planting in this field.

I hope so. I would like to seen that 88 of your rolling coal in that field.
@@Jtwes sure wish I lived close to you. I'd bring it over and watch you run it. You will have to come drive it one of these days.
Man yeah, you were getting down there!! Love the the 140 out stretching it's legs!! Can't wait to see the the crops growing there!! Thank you Joey!!
Doesn’t quite get as deep as the 86 will go but with a decent season should do pretty good.
@@Jtwes I have to say, that 140 was putting it down. I enjoyed that😉😉

Thank you Stan just got finished with the next installment.
Thanks for showing hoe deep the plow gets.
Looks like a good field.
Your very welcome Lamont

The camera never done it justice. On the other side of that coin im going to measure how far I nock down that bed when I plant it.
Good job. Have you ever considered using a harrow or section of chain link fence behind your disc? I enjoy your videos.
Naw not really around here a lot of folks pull logs

Have you got to use it much.

I’m probably going to be planting my Jimmy Red here next week. Certainly not as much as you’re planting, but maybe someday.
I may plant some Hastings.

Yes sir I try to stay away from spraying unless it’s my driveway or around the sheds and barn.
That will work up good Joey.
Thanks Mark.
where can I get the bracket to hook my rolling cultivators to my cub formal
Hey Mitch
Either Burch store tractors or Agri Supply
Looking good there is something about driving a tractor and turning dirt that city people will never understand I wished i could find a fast hitch for my 140 and some implements but they just ain’t that plentiful around here
I hope you can Joey. You’re right it is something about it.
We could both use a one row corn picker for our Farmall.
I had high hopes of planting the whole field and I could very easily but with no way to pick it I better just stick to what I can pull by hand.
Hey Joey wats dem flashers on fer Keeps the deer off you
Plant it and then will come. If you plant the whole field and let us subscribers come pick it at plow day.
Hey Wayne
That’s a thought.
I was watching when that shank came up to those big weeds and if you didn't hit it directly even at times hitting it directly those big weeds would not break loose they just wiggled out of the way they must be really deep rooted
They are. I noticed a few times it would pull it completely up and drag it 10 feet and let back loose.
Mine doesn't go anywhere near that deep. But of course, I haven't really tested out the adjustments on it yet. But still, I don't think mine would even come close to that depth.
Let me know how it does.
Should have sprayed that mustard before it goes to seed.
I really don’t like spraying that much but hang with me this summer and I think you’ll be impressed on how clean we can keep it.
That 140 was pulling pretty…
Yes Sir
