    The third step in washing objects in a 3 compartment sink, is sanitizing! Not rinsing. Rinsing is considered the 2nd step.

      Rinsing is the correct answer, the steps are Scraping, Washing, Rinsing, Sanitizing, Air Drying.

      You are both right in your own way. Rinsing would be correct if they are asking about the 5-step dishwashing process. The question specifically asked what the third step is in a 3-compartment sink. The wording is what makes this tricky!@@thapa1266

      If the question specifies a 3-compartment sink, they cannot both be right because they have different protocols and procedures. The initial reply is correct.

    this is nothing like the exam, theres some questions on here that are similar but overall the exam is mostly critcal thinking. There's usually one of the 4 options pr question that is just completly wrong, so if youve workd in the industry for a while youll pass. Anyone who did decently well in HS or has a college degree will also likely pass. However it is 90 questions long... so keep that in mind.

    Scraping is more often than not considered part of washing, and even when not scraping is not done at the 3 step sink and sometimes done by the server/busser returning the plates. The third option would be Sanitizing in regards to what you will be accomplishing at the sink, in which case you Wash, Rinse, Sanitize, Air Dry.

    Yes sanitizing is the third STEP. One is scraping, two is washing.

      Scrape is 1st part of step one it's considered part of washing

    That's what I said too, but they say the 1st step is pre-wash, 2nd Wash and 3rd rinse and so on...

    question 33 is wrong. the third step is sanitizing. From manual: 1. Washing in the first compartment with warm water and detergent.
    2. Rinsing in the second compartment with clean, warm water.
    3. Sanitizing in the third compartment using hot water or chemical sanitizer​​.

      I'm doing it online, so yes??? Maybe it's just in my area because I'm hearing people needing to pay to take it while I'm doing it for free.

      Yes however, for the Manager test you have to either be in person or on the computer with a Proctor.

      And question 33 is rinsing since it asked 3 compartment sink if it asked what is the correct compartment that is when you provide the rule concerning how to wash but specifically gave you a specific.

      I did manager one recently and got a 87. The questions don’t really match but if you just keep doing these practice tests, it’s very similar.

    man. these question are so obvious.. 23 doesn't make sense. it is vague. what are you cooking partially 33 is wash rinse then sanitize no rinsing last
