The work camp houses class D (male) inmates that have a choice to go or stay in the county jail. The work camp workers work through out the town. They help with the road dept. They have supervision the whole time they work outside in the community. They receive state pay and have a few extra benefits if they choose to go to the work camp. For the most part not a lot of inmates turn down the opportunity to work for the city. It's not the best accommodations but it's jail, not designed to be comfortable. I live here in Burlington. It's a quite town not too much goes on. But it's enough for the ppl that live here. I'm glad I moved here back in 2018. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Thank u for visiting😁💛
