Maybe you got a bad bottle? Mine is great, and the first time I wore it I got a lot of compliments. It’s fresh, slightly spicy, and a very nice lilac in it that sets it apart from ADG. I’m willing to bet that this one grows on you too.

Montblanc have executed their marketing absolutely perfectly. Every mall I go to (here in London uk) they literally have their own stand, setting themselves aside from the other fragrances.
0:47 i feel like that happens a lot with these mass appealing designer fragrances. Everyone ‘hates’ then a few months later everyone loves it
I went to the store especially to smell it on Monday evening and it was so meh I couldn't even be bothered to get 30 ml. And I really like the original Explorer.
Love the original. For myself it’s a compliment getter, and for the price it’s a win win.

MB Fountain Pens has NOTHING to do with their fragrances... I don't even understand how this is even remotely connected. Makes no sense whatsoever.
So very similar to Prada L'Homme & Prada L'Homme L'eau. lol.. What I'm looking forward to, is what's the longevity.. And hopefully no Violet or Bay Leaf as found in pretty much all "Aquatics". As long as it doesn't smell like Invictus.
And in a few months it will become popular and everybody will get it! 😂
I wouldn't be surprised....he didn't like the original either so I can see that happening. I loved the original at first sniff, then everyone was hating on it early and I didn't get the hate then the hate turned to like soif it's like the first one I bet you're right

But what do the ladies say? Profondo seems to be getting a lot more love after its first year and it turned out to be quite a compliment magnet.
I've been seeing some people say the newer batches seem weak and watered down..
He Clearly wanted Aventus cologne with a blue vibe. Ultra Blue is top 5 blue designer scent.
You're one of the more intelligent reviewers around, so after all these years, isn't it time that you wouldn't butcher the pronunciation of Montblanc? The "t" and "c" are silent.
Guys this is worth it now. It smells like adg fused with bleu de chanel for $40. Honestly really impressed with the blind buy.

If explorer had longer performance I would 100% prefer over aventus. I just like the subtle fruits with the aventus vibe.

I might grab a bottle of this. The reaction is totally different when you’re in Asia. Surprisingly, my best fragrances didn’t do so hot in Vietnam. But scents similar to ultra blue pretty much blew people’s minds 🤣

@@kevinhayden9030 Surprisingly Polo Blue GOLD and Bleu de Chanel EDT did extremely well 🤦♂️ I also wore Aventus, ADG Profumo, PDM Sedley, JV Artisan Pure and other bombing fresh scents but they all failed to impress the populace over there. It just shows how different cultures react to certain fragrances 🤷♂️

Give this fragrance a shot, I mean it, it's absolutely magnificent. In many ways, I like that people (fragrance community) don't like it, because yay more for me xD

Xerjoff Renaissance is the best summer fragrance ever made and smells different from your generic blue scents
It'll probably be just like explorer - nice, nothing special, but not off-putting...it disappoints because it doesn't stand out, but it's so inoffensive no one will avoid you when you're wearing it.

I was thinking it would be a mixture of sauvage and Aventus Cologne just off what I heard
I don't get why anyone should ever pay full retail on designer fragrances. Here in Austria you can get most brandnew releases 20-30% off, even newest releases.
Mont Blanc always has POOR performance and projection.

Explorer does better than Legend for me. But it's not a BEAST. Performance is only about 3 hour's for me.

Not one but three noses to create this. I can't understand how it took 3 people, really.
The original explorer was trash in my opinion. 7 sprays and zero performance 1 hour later. Gf couldn’t smell a thing.
Hands down best blue fragrance is Bvlgari Tygar

I don't even like the aesthetics of the bottle. The black presentation looks much nicer.

Think about how much this release would've blown up if they did something creative and unique and didn't make this fragrance according to focus groups and spread sheets. Sad state of affairs in the designer realm. ✌
I really like it. But it is the first and so far only cologne I’ve never owned so maybe take my opinion with a grain of salt. I love how fresh and clean it smells

I got a bunch of free samples this weekend. YSL Parfum, Code EDP, YSL Fraiche, a few others. Honestly I have no idea what the rave is about. Total synthetic screechy stuff which is just like so many other releases. I feel like I need to scratch these itches to remind me how almost nothing is special anymore. I need to unload these samples now lol.

I’ll give it a shot. I trust Mont Blanc. Maybe it needs a “situational” wearing just for performance’s sake.
Bought it yesterday, and I don’t regret it. Btw, it doesn’t smell anything like Chrome, so maybe this “expert” doesn’t really know what’s he’s talking about or maybe it’s just a matter of tastes.
It smells like bleu de chanel fused with adg but not as strong. For $40 bucks or less, it's a really solid option if you don't want to waste your chanel or Armani while just chillin at home.

My nose must not work correctly because explorer smells odd to me and borderline gives me a headache.

Honestly no offense to you as a reviewer because I think you are one of the better reviewers on the tube, but fragrance reviews only do so much, at the end of the day the individual still has to experience the fragrance themselves with their own nose, some scents are not for everyone.
It smells cheap but okay, i swear i already smelled the exact same scent from some other super well known fragrance tho.

The first one was for me a cint of metallic Aventus DNA. The new one gives me nothing of it. I am totally fine with my bottle of orignal explorer. Do not need the flancer
Mont Blanc makes the best 1oz bottle for the Explorer line. It’s perfect for travel. This blue might make a great travel size blue for your to-go bag once it gets heavily discounted.
Mont Blanc Explorer is a sneaky one. It totally went from a like to LOVE after my husband wore it few times. What a shame this one isn't very impressive.
