Thank you bro :) I've just got a Sony 6400, A7III and ZV-1, so this was a huge help. As I'm used to using a Lumix G9, so going to a Sony menu was a mess and not touch screen really sucked lol. So thank you again :) Sure made life a bit easy :).
I just got an A7Riii (coming from a basic Nikon DSLR). But man you are flying through your presentation. I want to shoot my band and the environment will be fairly dark. I bought a Rode mic that plugs into the camera. Someone advised me to set the camera on manual focus (focus on the front the stage) and shoot in 1080P. Can you give me other bare bones settings? Is it possible to use 2 cards and just allow the recording to continue from card 1 to card 2? I am option paralyzed! I understand aperture/iso/and shutter speed. Can you dumb it down for me some, to get good results? I'll be using a tripod and having the entire band fill the frame for the entire gig
Yeah, I don't want to take forever on the settings and make it a 60 minute video so I figure people can push pause and look at everything after I mention them. You can make them do tandem shooting, but I prefer just having it record to both cards so that I have backup of the footage (you'll need higher capacity cards for that like 256GB). Just shoot 1080p, 24fps with 1/50 on the shutter speed. Get the aperture as low as possible to let in the most amount of light and then adjust the ISO last as high as you need to get the exposure how you want. If you start getting above 1250-1600 ISO then you're video will probably start getting grainy pretty quickly.
Depends on the video, but about 95% of the time I use this 24-70mm: www.amazon.com/dp/B01BESQYJW/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_glt_fabc_dl_T3YEF8H5E564KPY9Y0T2?linkCode=ml2&tag=camberfilms04-20
It depends on what lens you use. That mode is made so you can use lenses made for aps-c cameras. But you can also use it as a tool to get further ready with your normal lenses. All my lenses are for full frame cameras so I keep it in manual and turn it on and off as needed to punch in more.
That really depends on the setting and how much light there is. You might need a higher ISO that’ll show your subject fine but the dark parts of the frame may be more grainy. You really just have to test it out and see. I usually try not to go over 1,600 with ISO on a full frame camera if I don’t have to.
Im buying sony a7siii soon its my first time I'm buying a camera , do i need to buy memory card for it I'm planning to buy external ssd drive instead of memory card because it is low priced and have more storage than memory cards as I want to shoot in slog then it requires more storage right? then external ssd card will be beneficial for me rather than a memory card, and amazing video thank you for guiding love from india❤
No, you still need memory cards. Slog doesn't change the bitrate of the footage; it's just a picture profile setting. The only time you'd need an external recorder is if you're showing RAW footage, but you can't just get any external ssd for that.
@@CamberFilmSchool can I use sandisk 1tb ssd for prores raw? If I've got a storage space with ssd drive then why do I need a memory card please explain I'm kind-of confused about this thing from few days
@chavansumit4040 if you’re shouting RAW externally then no you don’t actually need a memory card. But I’m not sure you can just shoot RAW or any other external mode to any SSD you want (I’ve never recorded to an external monitor). I think you need to buy an actual dedicated external recorder so that everything is recognized and recorded properly. And those external recorders have specific SSDs to hook up which are quite a bit more expensive than your typical Sandisk SSD.
Mode M is for manual picture mode. Video mode is for taking videos. Once you select video mode, there is also an option to choose manual vs auto for video settings.

Can I used the Sony A7 III for live streaming and is it great for posting UA-cam videos?
Yes you can use it for live streaming. And most of my videos from 2018-2021 were all done on the a7iii.
Awesome! Thank you so much! 😊
No problem. 😉
Thanks A Lot ! You just did my life a lot easier 🤩🤩🤩

if i use in auto 4k i got crop if i use in manual its not croping
It shouldn’t crop on auto because that’s a normal lens.
thanks for teaching vedio but create a vedio on the lens
What lens? I have a lot of videos on lenses.
What max iso i can use before losing quality for both videos and photos ?? I have a7c & 1.2 50mm GM

Hi, many of dis options are disabled because the shoot monde is on manual exposure? should I not have the manual exposure mode?
You need to be in video mode.
Got a lot out of this video!
Awesome! 👍

I’m a rookie…just got my a7iii. I just switched all my settings after this video, but it’s superrrr dark. Any ideas on what I did wrong?
You control exposure with Aperture/Shutter Speed/ISO. I have separate videos on how each of those settings effects your exposure.
