- For those who don't know, Jay is my hero, he was the guy that made me start playing drums.
Slipknot parting ways with him gets me completly by surprise, and i'm extremely sad until now, i don't know if i am going to get over this.
For Jay, i wish him all the best, and you'll be always my inspiration. Thank you for everything!

But he clearly can't keep up on the faster stuff. Did you watch that video? The proof is literally at the timestamp. After 10 years with the band he can't do the job he's paid to do. No amount of awards in the world can change that fact. The proof is right there. His footwork falls apart.
Then you watch someone like Eloy Casagrande NAIL that part with no triggers, and its like, c'mon man.
@@ALaz502 I get what you’re saying, and Joey was in a league of his own. I still think he honored Joey’s legacy and seems like a humble dude. What old bands have to say about musicians that left them is just sad. Well, at least he got a call saying he was fired while Joey found out via email, and that disgusts me since he was a founding member. Eloy is one heck of a drummer, no doubt about that. El Estepario is another insanely good drummer, plays Slipknot with one hand, and that’s pretty cool. But lately it seems Clown is replacing members with his own buddies, maybe we’ll have a brand new band with Corey and Clown as the only remaining original members (well, Corey isn’t the original singer but he’s awesome in his own right).

Please don't sully Joey's name like that. This performance is after 10 years with the band. Dude simply couldn't hack it on some of the material, and when he's paid to do this job and can't do it right after 10 years, it's time to let go.

I know I’m not the first person to say this isn’t fair to jay. I don’t understand how you can be in a band and inspire thousands and still get shafted yet slipknot just keeps doing it. Jay was only doing what he loved. My heart goes out to the guy.

Slipknot did Jay dirty. Jay is one bad ass drummer. He might not be Joey but he filled in for Joey's shoes. He worked extremely hard to be with his heroes. It's beyond sad how Slipknot could do this to Jay.
So far the constant changes and og members leaving hasn’t destroyed the band’s popularity but letting Jay go I actually fear could change that!!

Well, not many can say that they played drums for one of the biggest metal bands in the world for 10 years. This may be a blessing in disguise for Jay considering that SlapKnut will probably not be around much longer.

... a dream come true. Jay was a maggot at heart. How many people get to fulfill their dream of being a rock star, let alone playing in their favorite band. He literally lived his dream. Unfortunately, he was rode hard and put away wet by greedy douche bags. I'm tired of whatever Corey and Shawn are trying to do with their "creative decisions". Been a fan for 23 years and seen more than 10 of their live shows. As far as I'm concerned their new album sucks. I honestly believe Craig wasn't fired, he left. It's time for me to move on as well. I think I'll spend my money elsewhere, like on whatever band Jay winds up playing for?!

This video made me want to cry for him. No one really understands how much this probably sucks for Jay. It’s like having your heart torn out after a long relationship. Everything he hears and sees will remind him of what he had and how it was all ripped away. I really hope he stays strong and shares his talent with another deserving band. He has way too much of it to not continue on.
Also, great choice in song for this. I could be wrong but it felt like what he would be thinking to himself while trying to figure this out, while at the same time showing that Slipknot may have died and that’s why they were able to fire him.

As a life-long Slipknot fan since their debut album, I can honestly admit that this band has let its fan base down. After Paul's death, things have never been the same. Their false brotherhood truly showed when Joey died. It is now Clown & Corey LLC. Remember, the rest of the band are just "hired guns." F**k Corey and Clown. Lastly, am I the only one sick of not caring, "What Corey Taylor thinks?" Lol. They have become that which they said they stood against. 5 OG members from a 9 piece metal band with more cuts to come, im sure. They have lost their way, and im done going on the journey with them. I was hesitant when Jay came along, and now I feel ashamed for him to even allow this band to waste his talent for the last 10 years. What does Clown do again?!?!? Bang some dumb beer kegs and make shitty videos? Yeah, his loss would have had zero impact on the band. Look at how many shows they've done just fine without him. But Jay paid homage to Joey and lit a spark for this band that they have lacked, and they fire him 2 or 3 days after the last show of a tour via phone call or email?!?!? COWARDS!

Corey has stated in an interview that it’s getting difficult for him physically doing Slipknot. Overall, he’s taking care of himself as best he can, but he has a lot of pain.

Why is everyone making the assumption Jay and Craig were fired? Craig may have just been done. 27+ years of that kind of music and touring would be hellish on the body and mind. Jay may have wanted to spend more time with family try something different. I think if you're a true fan of a bad you wouldn't go straight to villainizing the bad as whole or other members of it when a member leaves no matter the reason.

You may be right but slipknot isn’t the band to give details about stuff away easy. Jay would still be there, but slipknot made a creative decision to part ways with him.
