  • I made the 4wd Moving platform which can be later integrated into many different robotics projects. This 4wd Moving platform can carry a load of 250kg+ and can pull a load of around 3tons, it's quite powerful compared to its size. This is made from 2 broken hover-board and an RC controller to control it, which can be replaced with a microcontroller for automation application later on (I am still learning on that). The high-capacity battery pack made from old laptop cells. I used my previously made 40cell Charging & Capacity Testing Station to know the capacity of the cells for repacking the cells into proper battery packs.
    I was contacted by JLCPCB a few months ago about their interest in sponsoring some of my projects and providing me with PCBs to speed up my projects.

    Hello.. I am an old man living in rural America. I was impressed by your video. It was the best video of its kind I've ever seen. I want to use this video to make an RC truck for my grandson. If possible, you can share wiring schema for remote controller, from 08:21 to 08:38.scene

    Hi ! What is the minimum travel speed? I would be interested for a personal project, I would need a speed between 2-5 cm/sec, for a platform weight of approximately 60-70 kg. I would like to know if such a low speed can be obtained while keeping the torque, before I start inventing... 🙂 What you have achieved is excellent, dear! Thank you very much!

    I wanted to do exactly this for years. Not only is your design almost exactly as I had imagined, I think the dimensions are close too... I wanted to add a RasPi, Lidar scanner and do autonomous driving with SLAM so I could use it as a goods trolley that would automatically go where you tell it without remote control. Anyway, You did an amazing job! I love this. Really well put together. How badly are the wheels getting stripped of rubber due to that skid steering though?

    It appears turning is done by spinning motors in opposite direction. How is that wired so the motors will spin in opposite direction? Is there a reverse wire on the hub motor speed controllers?

    Hi, I tried to make 4wd hoverboard bbcar also. But i could control it only with ADC (with two pots) but i could not control it from rc transmitter / receiver. Could you please share your firmware for Rc control?
    Did you use one hoverboard's motherboard for front wheels? (or one for right front wheel and left back wheel?) thanks for yourhel by now.

    do diagram how you connected those wires together between the 2 motherboards? im having a hard time seeing the video. i see some wires look cut and the next clip everything is put together. it seem like o alot of use would lie to see that so we can do it. you didnt share that with us on the video that would be very very very very ...helpful

    • @MakerMan

      It's parallel connection with the 2 boards. Like gnd, 5v, ch1 and ch2.

      @@MakerMan like you connect the pa2,pa3 and ground to a splitter then the end cable is connected to the receiver. I thought the red wire 15v you don’t connect? Plus i recently seen someone in GitHub connect behind the board with a capacitor I’m not sure what to call it. It seems like everybody’s has a way of connecting it differently. Is there anyway you can have a video of how you did it, so it makes more sense to me and maybe others that might be watching like have a close-up of the wiring, how you connected it to your receiver

    • @bluecavemen
      @bluecavemen 3 місяці тому

      @@Auras-4WD I guess it depends on how you wired your connection. I seen a few videos they seem to connect them differently. From what I was told. I would get the 2nd board and only connect the Rx with directly to the 1st board Rx if this makes sense. I have ordered a 2nd board so I’m just waiting for it to come in so I can test it out

      @@bluecavemen i cant find any video with 2 boards that shows exsctly how to connect. Splitted signal wires not working with gnd, 5v powered from one board.

    Nice build and building.
    Just the way of bending the sheet for holding the battery pack i don't understand.
    How it is possible to get a nice angle without some massive plate on top of it. I would placed the sheet between table and the plate and then go down wards (even need a hammer to get as small curb) maybe i miss something.?
