Have you ever considered reviewing the blick studio brush markers? They're really similar to copics! They have refills and replaceable nibs! They come in sets of 6/12/24/48/96 and you can purchase markers individually! They almost sound too good to be true... would love to know what you think of them!
I've definitely been asked to try them out, just havent gotten around to it as they're more expensive lol gotta save up. But I'll check them out soon hopefully! Thanks for watching! =)
@@lela.the.artist Of course I love your videos. I have to say I love the fact they have pastels in this set. I love pastels and most of the affordable sets don't have them.
This is by far my favorite piece done with bic markers! I have some pastel highlights from them and my favorite part is when you put the cap on. It slides like butter and it feels good for some reason.
Holy talent batman! I was just looking for a basic review of these markers, for simple marking and labeling, nothing art related. But the talent and precision this person demonstrated drawing freehand was absolutely mesmerizing! Man I wish I had 1/100th the drawing ability of of this artist, it would be very useful!
Cool thing with the Bic Mark-its (no Bic Intensity) were in fact marketed as bendable because they used a different ink than that of Shapries and other permanent markers (think it was a solvent based ink similar to Chartpak). They were HUGELY popular for scrapbookers and fashion designers because of that. I've been seeing them go through changes on the branding and packaging. I've actually used them in tandem with my Copic and Prismas. I'm glad they're still keeping them
Interesting! I thought these intensity kind were the only ones on the market, but that's good to know. I really thought they blended pretty good for their cost though. Thanks for watching! =)
I believe Bic-Intensity is what Bic Mark-Its were. If you google Bic Mark-Its you’ll see they’re pretty much identical. I’m just glad they’re back, because for while they were gone.
They used to be called the Bic markit markers and they were the same colors. Seems the colors are the same as they were before the name change. Mix them with a set of 24 sharpies and you have a fairly good color selection. They were the first alcohol markers that I had, and I actually still use them in simple projects or for crafting projects all the time. They certainly aren't as good as art quality markers but for the price they are a great way for kids to try out alcohol markers and see if they like the medium before you invest in a larger and more expensive set. FYI both the Bics and the Sharpies also come in an ultra fine which is a 3mm tip in the same colors so if you want fineliners that match that is an option although I find they are not as fine as the Staedtler triplus fineliners, plus the staedtler come in more colors and don't feather as much as the sharpie's or the bics.
I'm from Brazil, sorry for my english. I bought it, but I didn't know how to use it, since I thought the colors too saturated or too dark. But your video showed that it's great material and I'm inspired to do something with it. Thank you.
This is my first time ever working with BIC markers so unfortunately I cant compare them to their older type markers, but they were definitely fun to work with, and surprisingly good quality in my opinion =)
Halalela Art I had seen these cheap markers before but I had not seen who worked them in such a beautiful way and with a good finish as you did, just beautiful 😩❤️
Thank you very much. I don't have a lot of money at the moment can't afford copics or promarkers. The prices in my country have gone through the roof. And I know these are water-based ( I normally prefer alcohol-based. But we seem to do the job for a cheaper price). But I have a small set and they seem to work pretty well. I mean I used to pay 40 NZD for 6 promarkers. Guess what the price is now, over 100 NZD for 6 pens oh my gosh. I love your comment about not floating above it. That was great
Thank goodness for you and your review... Can't tell you how many poorly thought out "review" videos I had to go through before I found this one. You'd think it would be a straightforward thing to swatch out 36 colours and write the colour names next to them - but nope, plain cooking can never be left to plain cooks.
I'm from Europe, should I get these as my first alcohol markers just to see if I like those type of markers? Or should I get like Ohuhu or something? Ps: I don't want soemthing that costs more than around 30 bucks.
Definitely depends. I wouldnt consider these as a good first alcohol marker, but a supply to simply have fun with in my opinion. Especially since the 48 set of Ohuhu Brush Markers are only 15 bucks more at 35.00 (USD). A little more than the 30.00 you were hoping for, but I do feel the Ohuhu's are a good option, especially for being brushmarkers. They also have cheaper sets of alcohol markers that have chisel tips, and bullet nibs only.
Halalela Art Me too! I used to borrow some from my highschool librarian to colour things for various events in the school. I prefer these over sharpies!
This is funny cuz i was considering on getting these BIC markers since I’ve been in love with my original set. They color very smoothly and the colors aren’t bad. Now seeing them In action I def wanna get this set ☺️
I always liked Bic markers better than Sharpies for that reason, by having the names on the markers I can store them by color family and do a seperate swatch chart. With my Sharpies/Pen+Gear markers I have to sort them out and re-swatch when I want to use them.
I love when you do the review videos cause there oddly calming to watch

You brought back my faith in BIC Markers don't know if you did Sharpie yet 👍
Lela, do you think you can do a review on the Bic ultra fine point markers as lining pens?
I can definitely look into those. If I buy a set, I'll try to include it in a future traditional art video =)

It's amazing, I don't know if they changed the BIC formula but are they more different in terms of blending and finishing or is it just me?

tomorrow's video: how many pages does a bic intensity marker fill?
LOL!! Maybeeee =P
Was about to ask when they stopped putting the names on them.. That is what makes bic a staple in my collection (plus they are juuicehee)
