  • In this video, movements 2-5 are used to defend against a two-hand front choke. The two hand choke, with arms held out front is an example of a Habitual Act of Physical Violence (HAPV). In the bunkai demonstrated, Motobu's "husband and wife" hands principle is used throughout the entire application.

    Very good. Makes sense. In our old temporary (I might add) 'sport karate' club we barely practised tekki shodan, never mind bunkai, even though we were getting ready for our 3rd kyu grading because it wasn't a 'flashy' enough kata for competitions.

    Great application . Those moves are also very similar to the last couple of moves in kankai dai
