Loved this review Claudia. Howard’s End is my favourite however this has inspired me to pack A Room with A View for my weekend away. Trust life is good for you. 😊
The writing was so beautiful, but as you said it was too subtle (and I'm considered a prude). I was so bitter when I finished because it was too subtle to be what I consider romantic. There were many lovely lines. I will probably read it again because I did giggle quite a bit.
Thank you very much for your sweet and lovely detailed review. This book is recommended by MOTHER F DIVINE GRACE Catholic Homeschool Curriculum for 12th grade. I have not read any of this author's books and look forward to read this one. Again thank you for your character and theme analysis. Truly helpful. Best wishes to all!
Fantastic review! Couldn’t agree more that the sub text and social satire is extremely rewarding, particularly for a buddy read, and is definitely reminiscent for me of why I love reading and re-reading Austen. The commentary on the British abroad is hilarious and still relevant in so many ways. The things said and unsaid, the way truth is spoken about but never expressed plainly by most of the characters is a fascinating aspect of the novel. Looking forward to more Forster!
Enjoyed this review! Your headband looks very Edwardian. 👌🏼
Thank you! It kept falling off during filming 😅

Hi Lia! I hope you enjoy both the book and the holiday ❤️
I read this so long ago. I should probably re-read! Thanks for the review!

I actually liked it a lot more on my second read. There's a lot there but I also understand why it might not be for everyone
