I love movies like this that were clearly made just because the director had a silly idea and wanted to make a movie. They just wanted to have fun and make a movie, and I fully respect that
Proof that there’s a horror movie of everything you can imagine. Drones, beds, coaches, cameras, elevators, beavers, sheep, mammoths, bears, alien moles… now sloths lol
i feel like this is the perfect space to say once i had a very vivid nightmare of a sloth with a cat's head that ran super fast and chased me around my cousin's apartment
One fun fact I learned while visiting Brazil is that Sloths in the wild are actually incredibly dangerous, because everyone assumes they're chill but then they use their massive claws to slash at you at a crazy speed. And they have weirdly sharp teeth for an animal that eats leaves for defense purposes only... So in a way, maybe this movie isn't so unrealistic.
I am Brazilian, and that’s not true, I already saw many sloths, you can just pet them and they won’t do shit because they’re slow as hell, definitely not dangerous animals.
The worst thing about this movie is that while the sloth was being chased by a cop, it did not show them side by side to reveal the driver of the cop car was another sloth. Massive missed opportunity
Social media is terrible and this movie is PURE GENIUS. It is the pinnacle of so bad its good, a bunch of people making a movie with a puppet you could buy at a zoo. They understood they were making a dumb movie and went all in, the loofah, the chair spin, the heres johnny hand off of the phone... This movie is the perfect movie to get drunk watching with friends and have an absolute blast, the sharknado successor.
My favorite part of this whole movie was the banter between the dying lady and the main actress. “I have a law degree, maybe I should’ve used that” “Yes. Yea you definitely should’ve done that.” 😂
What a fun, rewatchable experience. Loved that Alpha’s backstory wasn’t over explained , and a puppet was able to evoke more emotion than CGI would have.
I've been avoiding this movie because I have a literal fear of sloths (specifically giant sloths) but yeah I'm glad I can watch it through you Elvis lol
If I may ask, how did you discover this phobia? An Animal Planet documentary was enough or maybe you had a bad encounter hiking thought the rainforest of Bolivia? My relationship with sloths is difficult; some look adorable but big and boney adults remind me of sleep paralysis demons.
I never liked them - I don't know why - they just always weirded me out lol Then recently my husband showed me pictures of Giant Sloths and I just felt Ill at the sight and thought lol 😅 Someone mentioned paralysis demon and I very much agree lol the slowness makes it way more terrifying to me
That actor that had the sloth is a pretty successful actor. I saw him give an outstanding performance this summer in The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Don't know what he's doing here but ok...
Visual effects artists and practical effects artists can both be artists with the right tools, time, and talent. But VFX wouldn't have looked any better here on this budget, which I'm assuming was about $50 including the ubers and food deliveries.
I love watching Elvis. It amusingly always sounds like he's on the verge of busting out laughing about all the nonsensical things he witnesses and honestly same
I just watched a cage movie where he is a paramedic, I watched it just from your videos on him so I was surprised I didnt find anything on your channel talking about this movie. Please make 1 one covering it
Hey Elvis I wanna let you know that I've been watching your channel for about 2 years. I have my own company and work extremely long days in the building stages of it. I've rewatched your videos dozens of times because they're like watching a movie I would never see with a comedy twist. I have a hard time falling asleep and these videos are a sure fire way to entertain myself for the last few hrs of the night and fall asleep to something I enjoy. Please don't take that the wrong way haha. Your 2hr Resident Evil video has lives on repeat in my mind. Please, if you get the time or chance create more long format videos. I would love one on the LOtR trilogy! Thanks for what you do and your clothes are dope btw!
don't know what you did differently but your editing in this video is especially comedic, I love how well memes were spliced in with the commentary over the movie footage
Me and my ma watched the trailer and all we could say is how they didn’t even get a real sloth. Like come on, I’m not asking for a fully trained sloth, all I wanted was a few good shots of a real sloth. A cool closeup on the sloths face and then an obvious puppet arm cuts into frame and then tears someone apart. Having a real sloth for a couple shots would’ve made the movie pretty funny and at least serviceable. Hell, you could even have a cult classic on our hands if they did that instead.
I'm gonna be fair here, sloths are surprisingly hard to work with irl. While I agree with the idea, in practice it'd be a lot harder than one might expect.
Hello elvis... thanks to u i know abt beau is afraid and i gotta say, i felt it when u said about ppl having fear of the outside owrld,bc it happens to me an lot :))
4:51 to be fair, actual sloths are rather cute animals, I've encountered a few in zoos, they are tame and friendly, so a sloth as a mascot isn't that bad, as long as you don't associate it with laziness
In a zoo setting they're tame and friendly and cute, but in the wild they can do some serious damage with their claws and teeth when agitated. They're best left alone. Maybe a mascot for introverts? I mean I can kinda relate to that.
I love that during the scene where the sloth throw the girl's phone to the road so she would be hit by the car, it's a sunny bright day on a straight road. It also take a few seconds as she could get her phone back, stand up and say a few lines before she was hit by the car. Thus, implying that the driver saw someone in the way and couldn't give a fuck. 🤣
Honestly enjoyed this film more than both CABIN IN THE WOODS and IT FOLLOWS and lots of other recent 'elevated horror' films-of-the-month. It's ridiculous and goofy but I was fully entertained the entire time 🤷♂️
Bro no way last year i started working at a vfx company and i came just as they were working on the slotherhouse hahaha, i actually did a few breakdown videos of the vfx renders, funny to see elvis making a video about the movie
I watched this movie the other night and I am now its number one fan. I think it’s so funny. I love the stupid adorable puppet, I love all the dumb kills, I love how over the top it is. It’s just such a dumb movie but it’s obvious that the people involved knew it was stupid and were just having fun with it. I think it can be a little preachy at times but it honestly never really bothered me while watching it because it’s so funny. I love how the puppet never looks menacing no matter how hard they try. My only complaint is that the annoying girl Zenny lives. Every scene she’s in is worse for her having been in it
I just got done watching the fnaf movie and i can predict 3 things that will happen in the next month: *People will ask dead meat to make a kill count* *People will ask nostalgia critic to make a review* *People will ask elvis to review the movie*
I don't know why this video made me laugh so hard so many times to the point of tears. The renaming of the sloth, how hideous the sloth is, how the sloth does so many human things, the edit of the dancing guy with Elvis' head. I did enjoy this one.
I love that you are using lesser known words like vapid and trite but youve used those specific 2 back to back in the same sentence in the last 4 videos I've watched of yours
You definitely need to see ONYX THE FORTUITOUS and the TALISMAN OF SOULS. It premiered almost 2 weeks ago and I think it will be your new favorite movie. ❤
Just watched a true masterpiece of a movie. Never laughed so hard at a horror before, sharing it here in hopes Elvis will cover it someday - movie is called Boo, and is from 2005.
Y'know I saw this movie scrolling through for something to watch the other day and I was like ".....I'm just gonna let them do their thing.'" It's so crazy to me that like not only 2 days later it shows up here. I SWEAR HE READS MINDS.
when a sloth bites you, you'll literally need a crowbar to unclench its jaws. i once saw a program about a sloth zookeeper sharing her horror stories about the sloths biting her. her fingers are at risk of being lost every day

I demand a Slotherhouse/Zombeaver crossover. DO IT.
Sometimes you see a title and you are legally bound to click on it. Excellent as always, Elvis.
I was in a sorority in college and can confirm this is how it goes
You had Elvis dancing as an old man too, i presume.
Even finding the dead bodies a day late? Honestly the most believable part,…
I can not confirm or deny these allegation’s. 😝
That actor that had the sloth is a pretty successful actor. I saw him give an outstanding performance this summer in The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Don't know what he's doing here but ok...
He's Serbian and the film was made there. Easy paycheck.
That head dangling on the dancing dude bod is hilarious. Almost as hilarious as the Slotherhouse itself

This movie is a masterpiece. The fact I felt bad for the sloth at the end was everything.
I’m so happy because as I was watching this movie I literally told my boyfriend, “I really want Elvis to react to this, it’s so dumb”
Zombeavers was a modern masterpiece. The dialogue is truly gripping
I totally gotta watch this!Makes me want to finally get my own horror flic out there that’s been sitting in my hard drives for years.
