Late reply but I agree with this so much. Honestly it's like he designed his strokes and style of play for that. Efficient movement, great positioning and really efficient lethal strokes. His game is simply amazing and a pleasure to watch.
Federer's movements are so effortless that he gives the wrong impression of being bored, but if you pay attention to footwork he's clearly taking seriously the session. He never stops working in between hits.
Even in his matches, Roger has a bored, uninterested look on his face. He seems to have cultivated that over the years to give an impression to his opponents that he is not fazed by their game or any trickery they might try against him.
An incredibly efficient athlete who made one of the most difficult sport seemed so easy... it's like his body was specifically designed for tennis relentlessly graceful

This man truly is one of the best sportsmen ever, arguably the best. Even more impressive closing in on his 40's: unbelievable!
i guess but equally distributing isn’t hard... it’s a pretty normal thing to do in 3 player practices. it’s simple as well. just hit one ball to one guy and the next one to the other, rinse and repeat. if someone gets 2-3 balls in a row for some reason, you can just give the other 2-3 aswell.
Used to play cut-throat tennis with a couple of buddies in college all the time. You just have to switch it around -- allow the single to hit into the doubles court and make the doubles keep it in the singles court, else it won't work at all. It was fun!
of the total number of strokes he casually played, the number of times the ball just(within 3 cms of the top of the net may be) went over the net is out of this world, which is one of the reasons why opponents seem to have less time when playing against him.....incredible.
I mean, this is a very common drill in tennis. Really good for practicing cross-court and down the line shots. Usually the single guy is running his ASS for training but it’s Fed and it’s his warmup. Super casual

You can tell the white shirt player is not at all used to how much topspin Roger can get from his backhand drives at 1:02. He just thinks " Oh sure I can drive this without taking enough steps back to give myself room", nek minnit, straight into the net. Federer's slice at 1:07 is beautiful, too. Federer's right foot always lands about 100 milliseconds before that backhand hits. In fact, his footwork operates as a sort of metronome for his swings. This is the key to his supremacy, and I haven't heard anyone talk about this.
