- Hey there! Happy New Year, and thanks for checking out our first Center Parcs UK vlog of 2024!
We stayed at Center Parcs Longleat for a weekend break in January 2024, and were joined by family and our dog Harper. We stopped in Lodge 434 which is a two bedroom executive lodge (dog lodge) in the Pine area, close to the Pancake House and Wessex Way.
We packed loads in our weekend, and this (part one) video shows you just some of the fun we had, including the Winter Forest Lights experience and the new Restaurant Runner takeaway delivery service. And someone NEEDS his Spicy Fries fix...!

Hi Rob, Dave and Harper. We have put off watching this video for so long! As fans, and avid viewers of your CP videos, we wanted to watch it as soon as it was released. However, we had booked to stay in that very villa, and wanted it to be a surprise to us when we arrived, so we held off. We have been visiting CP Longleat every year for 26 years and always stayed in different villas, but for the last 9 years we have stayed in the same one (over in Fir). So this year was the first time, for 9 years, in a new villa! Knowing you guys had stayed there before us made it a little more special, not going to lie! Haha!
Anyway, on returning home after our week away, we immediately watched your video! Thank you. Great content, as always. You two always make us chuckle. It was also a lovely surprise to find your most recent stay uploaded on our return home, too!

Hi Rob and Dave, just wanted to say how much I love your videos of CP and you’ve inspired me to book me and my autistic daughter to go for next Jan 25 Winter lights event. We have also managed to get special permission from guest services to take her emotional support rabbit, and this will be the first time in 6 years my daughter has been able to go on holiday due to anxiety. Being able to watch your videos and the detail you go into has really helped her to familiarise herself and get mentally prepared for what to expect so thank you, thank you, thank you!

The winter Forest lights were absolutely amazing! After seeing you try the cheese fondue on your break, I had to try it as well this week. It was sooooo good 😋

NOO!! I have just got back from a midweek at Whinfell for my bday. Not complaining, we got tons of snow. The Canyon ride in the snow is magical to say the least. 😊

Another fab vlog where I instantly start searching CP pricing to revisit 🤣 really feel the need to try these spicy fries we’ve heard so much about, but the fondue looked fab too.

I've been going to center parcs lobgleat since it opened, when I was a kid. But I've never taken my dog. Thinking of taking him this year, so enjoying watching you guys with gorgeous Harper ❤
Ahhhh, well I know that some people say CP is more "dog tolerant" than dog friendly and not a lot of places you can take dogs (restaurants, shops). But for us we love taking Harper and the fact he can be left in the lodge for a while at a time.
You know dog lodges go super speedy though right, so be prepared to have to book far in advance or keep checking for cancellations if the dates are not available.
One day Dave will agree to get the tandem bike! That would be hilarious!

Awwww thanks. Yep we always aim to be honest and share our experiences and opinions, good or bad. I see plenty of people complaining about different food at Center Parcs and I think I've come to accept that we must just have very unsophisticated palettes 🤣🤣🤣 the only grumble I would have is the price compared to off site takeaway, but it is still reasonable and proportionate to prices you would pay on site.
Love the pins! We're collecting them for our daughter and can't wait to get her next one in July at Sherwood - the struggles of the choice is real! Your vlogs are fab xx

Ahhhh thanks, I keep telling myself I can see the difference but I wasn't sure if I was just trying to justify it to myself 😂😂😂 you do know the dust collector doesn't actually go around and do the dusting right? If it did I'd definitely be keeping it 😜

Hahah we did consider a spa session but we decided as we have one planned for Woburn that we could just about survive without itm only just though 😂😂😂
I've seen mixed reviews and know some people are not fans of the Restaurant Runner but as you could see we were all happy with it 😊

Enjoyed this vlog as went to woburn not longleat this year. Can't wait to see you in woburn, miss it. I have totally fallen in love with the lodge's there, the outside look is so nice. Where else do the same lodges? Xx
Oh yes the lodge in Woburn are lovely aren't they, with the underfloor heating and the open plan lounge layout. And yes, from the outside they definitely have more "curb appeal" (just call me Kirsty Alsopp haha).
There are a VERY small number of similar at Longleat and Elveden that were prototype designs, and I think that Longford (Ireland) also has the same.

We were at Sherwood about a week after you last year for the Winter Wonderland. I managed to get the animal pins but not the 2023 pin. We are back again in June so hopefully stocks of 2024 are in then!
Yep, they had plenty of animal pins stocked but the yearly ones truly appear to be "limited edition" so if you see one and you want it snatch it up straight away!

@@RobCadenElkins I think it will be (only 15 minutes from home!) - it’s our Wedding Anniversary- we did Winfell for Honeymoon in 2022 then Elveden last year, but we do like Sherwood for ease of location. Once parked up you could be anywhere.

So I've been going most January's since I was about 11 (30 now) and taking my wife and 3 year old son, watching your video now to get excited for it. Got some bikes and a tandem but will mostly be enjoying the swimming. We've got our son pottery painting and his own account for money with his own spending money, in case he wants to do anything else. We are so excited!

Ahhhh thanks! It's not very exciting, I'm a manager in a children's rights charity and Dave works in the leisure industry. I think the illusion of videos being uploaded spread out makes it seem like we are away a lot more, although yes we do prioritise travel and breaks away whenever we can!
