One thing I really like about this channel is the consistency. I’ve been watching for almost 7 years and she’s kept the same great informative style while a lot the other tech UA-camrs I follow have changed for the worse by either forcing jokes/memes or being way too negative/annoying. I can always count on this channel to be good.
Yup I don't normally watch her videos but I've been subbed forever because when I need a tech question answered she normally has a video on the subject.

The relatability of your hand size is refreshing. Everyone just keeps talking about how small the mini is but you admitted to not being about to reach the other side. I feel seen. 🤣
I got the iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the iPhone 12 mini. The 12 Pro Max is just too big for normal use, the 12 mini is too small for viewing, and the 12 Pro is the most ideal but I really think the 5.8” iPhones were the sweet spot.
I upgraded my iPhone XS to a iPhone 12 mini. I love the 5.4 inches it’s so perfect.
I think size wise, weight and feel wise the 5.8 inch iPhones (X, XS and 11 Pro) were perfect, in my hands at least, but the bigger 6.1 inch screen on the iPhone 12 Pro (and 12) is definitely better and feels and looks like the better screen size to me.

After holding it in my hand, I agree with you. The 12 Pro Max is the first phone that I feel is just too big. Also, I think I agree with John here, that my hands prefer the mini, but my eyes prefer the larger screen of the 12 and 12 Pro. Between that, the price, and the battery, I'd probably go with the base 12 model.

@@DoubleU159 That I disagree with. I think the size of the 12 is perfect, and the 12 mini is a good option for people who want smaller phones. I always thought the 11 Pro was too small to be something I'd enjoy using every day, but the Max was too large

I went with the Iphone 12 pro over the iPhone 12 pro max because it felt like I was holding a tablet rather than a cell phone. I’m glad that you reviewed this on smaller hands because I deal with the same thing!! Excellent video.

The IDEAL one would be the iphone mini with the iphone SE's size, just thick enough to eliminate the camera bump and increase the battery life, and without the notch of course, so you'd get more screen real estate. Perfect.
Today I send my iPhone 11 Pro Max back because it was way to big for my hands. I‘m ordering the iPhone 12 instead.

I went with the regular 12, manly because it’s my first iPhone. I also didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on a phone I wasn’t sure I’d like overall. Been an android guy since my first phone.
I did the same years ago with the original iPhone SE and got hooked and been a iPhone user ever since.

Curious that a 7 Plus user preferes the regular 6.1 iPhone. It is exactly my case but the internet keeps saying that Plus/Max users should be fine with the 12 Pro Max.

Just got myself a 12 pro but still itching to exchange with a pro max (dunno why!). This review convinced me not to! Thanks for reviewing from a (small handed) lady’s perspective, as all the other reviews out there really focus on specs rather than comfort. Also I figured, bigger screen viewing is what I got my ipad pro for! Thanks.
Got the Mini, I’m so over oversized phones. The mini’s screen is what I consider enough for a smartphone, unless you have eyesight problems.
Did u have any problems reading text or documents. Bcuz if u did I won't be getting this phone. Oh and also is the text size the same over all the iPhone 12s?
@@swagmaster1584 nope but I don’t have issues with my eyesight. The only time I find the text small is if someone sends me an html email as the text does not scale correctly. If text size in general is an issue you can change it in settings. The screen is bigger than an iPhone 6, it’s only a small screen by today’s obnoxiously large screen standards.
I thought the 12 mini was the regular 12 for a second. The Max looks like a tablet in your hands.
I have big hands and had an 11 Pro Max last year, decided I’d go with the 12 Pro in pacific blue this year and I’m happy with my choice, perfect size for a phone IMO.

Been going back and forth between small and big phones for years and my conclusion is this: Every time i get a small phone i am super happy for the first month. After that i just can’t stand the small youtube/streaming videos and small photos when shopping online, keeping the phone so close to my face is tiresome. Always end up with a big phone again.
Also i think the in-between "perfect size" phones are just irritating. Too large to be a small comfortable phone and too small to be a big screen phone 🤪

I wish I watched your video a week ago. That’s when I got the 12 Pro Max. I watched other videos and some people said it isn’t that heavy so I figured I’d be okay because I previously had the XS Max. Well, within the first few minutes of holding the phone, I noticed how uncomfortably heavy it is. Now, almost a week later, I have a permanent cramp in the palm of my hand from the weight AND the way I have to stretch my small hands around the phone to hold it. I’ll be returning this phone for the 12 Pro.
The new 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are both heavier, but exactly the same sizes.

Cause instead of just pumping out content left and right, you’re putting time and effort into your content and the quality of it. Ms. Griffin! Did ya know you just shooed my anxiety attack? I was regretful at getting my 12 Pro in detriment to the Pro Max (I ordered them from USA while in Brazil before their launching here). I was burning with doubts, would’ve’s, could’ve’s but your video did it! I’ve now come to terms with my 12 Pro Gold and I and my anxiety rashes thank you!

Just purchased the 13 Pro Max, and I agree, it's too big. I still like it, though, because its weight and size make it a good object to use as a self-defense weapon.

I have medium sized hands (not too small, not too big), I am used to 6 inch phones now thanks to android but I feel like the sweet spot for me would be the 12 Pro or the normal 12 since it is around the same size as my phone but I don't really mind the Max models, I might get one next year though or whatever comes out from apple.
I have very large hand, from the bottom of my palm to my middle finger I measure 20 cm and the base of my palm is around 10 cm, honestly I handle my One plus 6T with only one hand and I think I can still do it with a slightly bigger smartphone, but I don't think I will be able to do it with Iphone 12 Pro Max and also I don't think it will fit my pocket at all.

12 pro in graphite. Everything about it seems to be just right. The Pro Max would have been nice to have but the size just seems like too much even for my medium to large hands. But definitely Team Flat all the way.
As I'm begrudgingly throwing in the proverbial towel with android & heating myself up to learn a new eco system with apple...this video is of great help!🤗
P.s.- I'm gonna miss the customizability with android..but starting to feel relief at the thought that I might actually be able to become productive within the apple eco system...still kinda dreading the learning curve. But I'm gonna dive in with an open mind & hope for a new lease on the life of my creative spirit in Hope's I won't be driven to madness in the apple eco system like I was with android...ugh.😬

I originally bought the regular 12 pro but ended up returning it and buying the pro max, I’m very happy with my decision. Everyone talks about how big the max is, and yes it is large, but I think the battery and screen upgrades are worth it. It’s nothing unwieldy, and I like how the notch appears as if it is smaller on the max because of the larger screen. The notch on the mini really takes up much more of the screen, which I feel like many people fail to mention.
I currently have the 7 plus and I was thinking of switching to the 12 pro max But then I hear people mentionhow the edges on the phone are kind of painful- and I see it’s because the phone isn’t the right size. My 7 plus is already a big phone to me, so I decided on the 11 pro max!! This video helped a lot

I bought the mini. I don’t regret, it fits in my „home office“ pants and even when I go out the battery gets through the day although I admit my OnePlus 8 Pro would stand at 60% after such usage.

I have teeny hands and just last month I got a phone that is almost as big as the 12 pro max (The Motorola One Fusion Plus). It took me a solid three weeks to get used to the size but now I am really appreciating the bigger screen estate and much better battery life you get with a phone this big.

I sold my 11 Pro Max fully intending to upgrade to a 12 Pro Max, but the 11 Pro Max already just slightly makes my hand uncomfortable during use, and hearing the 12 Pro Max being wider with sharp edges made me abandon that immediately....that and the upgrades just aren't significant enough lol
Went with the 12 Mini instead, saved a few hundred bucks and I'm not on my phone all the time, so hope the battery lasts!
Sooo... is there going to be anymore iPhone content aside from the one accessory? Also, people are of course going to have to use a phone even the size of the 12/12 pro with two hands. Why not show how one would hold the pro max in two, instead of just grabbing it in one hand and immediately saying no.
I've gotten 12 pro max. I have average hands and even for iphone X, I use 2 hands most of the time. So not much difference.
I got quite worried reading all these comments because I have average hands as well, and I'm currently waiting for pro max to be restocked at my place.
I have an average sized android phone at the moment and yes I use both of my hands to type. Hopefully I won't feel awkward using the pro max

I'm 5'7 and have small-medium size hands. I love the size of my 13 pro max but I do notice the back of my hands feeling cramped at times (I could probably fix that by not being on it a lot 😅). but I just love the big screen so much and anything smaller makes me feel like I'm back to using my old iPhone 4 😭.. maybe one day I'll try a mini.

I got the iphone 12 pro max. I wished it was 6.4" to be honest. That is the perfect size. 6.1" is too small (have a S20 with 6.2" and already feels small). I once tried a Xiaomi mi 9 for a week for my dad and that was literally a dream size. Sadly in 2020 all went up with the size or tiny 😔
I got the regular 12 it's great and has oled but I wish it had 120 hz refresh rate
The only reason I’d go for the Max is battery but since my 12 Pro’s battery has learned my battery usage pattern and it’s behaving well now, I think I’d stick to the regular one. Like most reviewers have said, it’s the sweet spot size-wise.
I was right, flat edges is beautiful but not as confortable as rounded edges. I bought iPhone 11 Pro Max during iPhone 12 release lol.

iPhone 12 Mini + Galaxy S20 FE
S20fe is s huge phone.
But NOT HEAVY. S20 FE is great for media consumption. While I use my iPhone for work / communication.
I love my 5/SE, and I have been waiting for the 12 mini (or a compact One-plus) every since the X was announced, while my s7 is on life support. I thought when the bezels shrunk, small phones became more viable and practical so finally it seems my theory got to be tested.

Hi Erica, does 12 lineup have PWM issues (especially 12 pro max apparently)? I've been reading more and more comments about "flickering" below 50% brightness on solid black images/videos...could this be duento PWM? My eyes really suffer from it, I sold XS for this reason (I hope they will use the same approach as Samsung someday, they don't give me any eye strain)

Snap. Got the 12 Pro Max at launch and instantly regretted it as it feels big and the boxy design is uncomfortable on my fingers. So order a standard 12 which is close to the 7 plus and much more comfortable due to weight. But as I'm now thinking I'd be better served with an iPhone and an ipad I'm thinking I might be better off with the 12 Mini and an 11" ipad Pro.
JR_UK dude the iPhone mini is the best, the size is so perfect in the hand, 1 hand to text comfortably and it’s a phone not no iPad if you place that iPhone max to the face it’ll cover your whole face as well. Also when you have the mini in the pocket you can’t even tell it’s there. I love it battery lasts me all day. Oh and the camera is excellent.

One thing that i don't like about the new iPhones is that the edges of the screens are more rounded, i don't know if that's just me and my brain is playing with me but it makes me feel like the notch looks even bigger than in previous iPhones. It's obviously not a huge difference, but still there is some.

120hz is not everything. I love the Note 20 Ultra, but I don’t want to lose iMessage, FaceTime, and Apple Carplay. Plus I will miss how my iPhone works with my iPad on messages, phone calls, and air drop. Not worth the switch.

The one thing that is confusing me from every single reviewer is the way you’re all going on about the 12 Pro Max like it’s the first time Apple’s made a large iPhone. 😂 It’s thinner than the 11 Pro Max, it’s not even 1mm wider and yeah it’s around 2.8mm taller but folks plleeaassseeee. Interesting to see you and Jon comparing the hand fit. What you also need to think about is the fact folk like me (51 and older) need a larger screen! hahahaha. 👀
